I was trying to port our main office number from office@hand to ring central. Both are voip providers. Office@hand uses ring central software. After the porting was successful, we are still not able to use the number anywhere - in neither applications. Ring central tells us it’s probably office at hand’s fault. We have set up our SCIM link to Entra ID and we can provision users. The issue is that when users are being provisioned, their name on RC is not correct.DisplayName (Entra ID) - Test Username.giveName (RC) - Test User UserI cannot see why the DisplayName is being pulled through as having an additional surname. The displayName in Entra is ‘Test User’The attribute for name.giveName is set by the attributes in the Azure app. Has anyone else had this issue?

I need to get the incoming number so we can make use of it in our customer vb.net program. Launching a URL works but then everytime there will be a browser window opened, this is not optimal. I have tried a million things and can’t get the command to run. If i can just get it to save the number to a .txt file on the c:\temp that would be great. I would appreciate any help. this command runs when i press test but does not run when the call is connected c:\temp\ring.bat "+16505554092"i have a simple bat file that saves it to the file 

In Ring CX, is there anyway to cancel a ‘queued’ call. If I have an end user on the phone, attempt to queue the call through to another department and tick ‘stay on call’, if that department dont answer the call, we seem to be stuck in an eternal loop on being on the call to the end user and a beeping noise because the call is still queued in the background. If I hang up, the end user goes into the queue on their own to the department that aren’t answering. The only way for the call to end is for the end user to end the call. I simply want to be able to cancel the requeue and stay on the call with the customer.

App Client ID is WaOUXvk0oXtdlR79ZvmEZtI created a private app for us to use, and I selected JWT flow however when running js to get the access token I get Username/password authentication is deprecated. Please migrate to the JWT grant type.Which is starnge because I selected the JWT flow when creating it and I’m using the provided script. Could I please get this looked into or advice?

I am initiating two calls via the RingCentrall Call Out API. Once both calls are connected (one active, one on hold) the user will start the conference call from the RC Phone app. Should information about the conference call be available somewhere in the call records? Right now, I only see call logs for the two calls I made and no conference call.

Recent penetration testing showed several of our rental phones using a weak TLS v1.2 Anonymous cipher and key exchange. So, I was thinking a update should assist. That did not report after it went through all the motions/screens to accept and process, only to revert back. I believe since managed devices Ring Central would be automatically updating, pushing, etc. So, any suggestions. No firewall blocking as I checked, just perhaps something not configured correctly? Yes, I’m walking into this setup as new home and seems there is house cleaning to do.  Anyone know best method to reach support? I have emailed.

This is a long shot but I'm going to ask anyway! We are about to start using a Answering Service. That will mean our main number will be simple forwarded to a random local number, and then the agents will route calls to our DIDs directly.One thing that has come up in conversation is the capability for the agents to page people. Is there anyway that they can call the IVR enter in a code or extension and then broadcast a page (rather then being at a desk phone or using the RC mobile app, pressing *84 and broadcasting their message). They will not have access to a desk phone or RC app. (Being able to call the IVR would be the best option). 

We’ve been getting some errors reading call logs from the ring central API. One thing I wanted to try was updating to the most recent API. But when I upgrade the nuget package, I receive errors about AccountCallLogSyncResponse missing. I searched through documentation for release notes, but couldn’t find anything. Is there a document that helps?

My agents are using MAX agent nice in contact to process calls. I was surprised to find that there is no automatic feature to mask sensitive information such as Credit Card numbers in calls. considering this is such a huge breach in security and confidentiality, I am surprised that we have to rely on agents to personally mask sensitive information on a call - instead of having it done automatically. Is there an existing feature that I could not find?

As of last Friday, my agents started receiving an error message when they try to log out of the queue.“Sorry, something went wrong on our end, we weren't able to update the queue call settings. Try again later.” Does anyone know why or have a solution for this? Please help!

My client had a billing issue and explained he had tried to contact sales and support several times, only to be placed on infinite hold. When he did get an agent, was told there are 86 calls in the billing queue.  The rep offered to leave a message for call back, and no one returned the call twice.  I was on the line for 30 minutes with an agent who could not help and offered to transfer me to the billing queue, assuring I would not lose the place in queue.  Waited another 10 minutes with silence, call still connected but no one ever returned.  Since this has been ongoing for several weeks we are aware of, is this the proverbal writing on the wall that RingCentral  “used to be” the best for customer support?  I have been on hold for billing department now for 1.5 HOURS!

Is there a report of SMS activity? I realize there are “SMS Logs” but those must be downloaded and manipulated in a spreadsheet.  I’m looking for a simple report, like the calls report, that will tell me how many SMS each user sent in a time period. We’re integrated with Salesforce, but that count isn’t accurate :(

Is there a way to see which days are busiest over certain timeframes eg over a year period, which days of the week are busiest? And to see other reporting based on the day of the week?

I want to program a button on our receptionists’ Yealink T54W phones that does the same thing as the “Accept Queue Calls” slider in the RingEX app.  One push will toggle it to the opposite setting (on or off).  Receptionists are using their pc/REX app for their own Extension, not the reception phone extension. We want that control on the hardware. Thanks

Hello all, I understand that there are no webhooks to know if a recording is available, I’ve done most of my integration, I’m getting the recordingId from the telephony event “disconnect”, now I need to get the recording, Tech Support said that the recording is not available real time that I will have to poll the content API, which should be this one: /restapi/v1.0/account/accountId/recording/recordingId/content, however in the docs it says that that API only returns 200 with the recording media as the body, so, my question is, how does the return code and body looks like when the recording is not available to download? should I check for a 404 status code and retry later? how does that work? Thanks,Raul

My SMS was shutdown yesterday and is still down today. Your site says that TCR was extended but that is not correct. There is an open case but I am told that it could take up to 20 days. Am I shut down for 20 days??

While using the Ring Central extension, some members of the team who use AirPods to take calls are experiencing that if they are on a Teams call and receive an RC call, it mutes their teams unless they log out. I’ve asked them to use a different headset in the meantime, but wanted to report the bug.
