Hey Community and Developers. Why doesn’t Zoho’s RingCentral integration allow users to hang up calls directly within the Zoho CRM plugin? It seems users currently need to end calls separately using the RingCentral app. Is there a workaround or setting that enables this functionality?From my research, it appears the integration relies on the RingCentral API for call handling, which might limit certain features in the plugin. However, the available API documentation doesn’t provide enough detail to confirm this fully. One alternative I’m exploring is switching to the browser call handling method, which seems to offer full control over calls.While this alternative is functional, implementing it would require time and resources to train users and update workflows. If there’s a clear and definitive answer regarding this issue, it would help me make an informed decision on the best course of action.Thanks in advance for your insights!

I have a proprietary customer administration tool where we’re wanting to integrate RingCentral into directly. I’m wanting to be able to add a button from the tool to start a call and input data into the IVR prompt. So it’s pretty much like automating entering in a customer’s ID # so an agent doesn’t have to do it manually. Trying to see if this is possible with the call api?

How many people have been charged repeated fee for the TCR registration of $20 + tax?I just came to discover that RingCentral can’t do this, if they aren’t listing all reasons for decline in one email. 

Our number company number is XXX-XXX-XXXX on a I-phone. When we make a call to our customer from our company number, how can we make it to show XXX-XXX-XXXX?

Hello,I have the MVP product and am having issues with "After Call Wrap-up Time" set at the queue level. It is set to 3 Min, but I am getting reports that the queue users get no time before being placed back as available. To date this has never worked for them. They are placing themselves as DND as a workaround.Is there a dependent setting somewhere I have not found. I have searched the downloadable manual, RC University and the Community. I don't see this issue being raised or addressed elsewhere.

We have noticed that when we use the “Override Branches - Meeting” to have department meetings our Service Level drops significantly in the campaign summary by campaign report.We assumed that time when we are in Meeting mode, would not be calculated into the Service Level.   Are we missing something or is there a way to factor out the calls that come in while we are in meetings and cannot take calls?Is there a better way to do this?Thank you.

If installing Ring Central app on a terminal server, is there a way to restrict who it runs for?  Only select users would need it and I don’t want it to use up anymore system resources than for just those users.

Hi,I’d like to ask if how would I be able to import leads to that the contact numbers will be saved? 

Not sure if im just missing it but is there a way via API to add a company number for a SPECFICI Site.We are a multi site environment and we need to abaility to quickly add Holidays at a site basis.Doing this at a queue level is not acceptable as when its out of hours it counts the call as abandoned and skews any metrics…I can add one as a company number but this adds it under the main site.. 

We are currently using three numbers to send SMS to our users, but we’ve noticed that the basic API rate no longer meets our growing demand. As our SMS volume increases, we’re trying to understand how the rate limit is structured.Is the API rate limit set per number (one seat) or is it shared across the entire company account?

Can I activate it so when someone reaches an Announcement only extension they can get a repeat of the information by pressing a button? For instance to be able to say something like, to hear this information again press pound, and have the announcement repeated? I know pressing pound on the main greeting for our Auto Attendant will repeat the menu but what about for announcement only extensions. Thanks.

I have set the admin password prior to provisioning but after provisioning it no longer works on the phone. Provisioning has obviously blocked access to the admin of the phone since the Advanced menu has nothing more than change the password but it does nothing. I would like to log into the web interface and back up the configuration and make changes. The standard passwords do not work. 123, 456, 789 and I have seen 7227 and blank as possibilities. Is there a known password or a place in the admin portal to see one? 

Can I add more that 1 user name for an extension number? We have a use were as several people share 1 number and would like the corporate directory to allow callers to dial by name to any one of the people in a department using the main number as their extension.

I am in the US and have an employee in the Philippines.   I need him to be able to make calls using his computer laptop to our clients in the US.   We currently have our phone lines with Ring Central.  How can we make this happen?

I am in outgoing calls on my computer app. Recently the app switched on the RingOut feature auto magically. I go in to the setting to direct dial and that feature is no longer there. How can I get it back?

I have been twice denied in the TCR Campaign registration process, but I don't understand why. I am told it is because ... "Explanation: Unable to verify, need working website if opt-in occurs on website. (804)".HOWEVER, opt-in is NOT occurring on our website (which is still under construction), we would ONLY be texting customers who have first texted us, meaning consent is implied, we aren't even gathering customers phone numbers from our website, which I made EXTREMELY clear in my registration application.Why then is our campaign being denied for these reasons? NO ONE I speak to seems to have any clue about this whole process. I'm currently on hold with someone from Ring Central who is trying to figure it out. If they don't figure it out after this phone call I'm cancelling this garbage and just getting a Dual-Sim phone. This is beyond insane.

Hi there, I would like to see if anyone can help exaplning the setup/worksflow. We have 2 phone numbers ported in to our Ring Central account which serve separate companies.Phone Number #1 is advertised on website for Company APhone Number #2 is advetised on website for Company B.They are not inter-related.  We would like to set up different greeting and IVR menu for each of these numbers so the customers can be greeted by Company A and Company B respectively. Currently we’re on RingEx Standard, and we couldn't find this option, as it seems that only one IVR menu can be selected and have to be assigned to all numbers that was in the same Ring Central account.I came across Multi-site features, but I can’t find it under our current plan. If there’s a need to upgrade to use this, how much is it? it not easy to find that pricing.  Thanks.    

I have been repeatedly been denied for 2 reasons:1-Exact URL where opt in consent is obtained is missing in the consent section.2- compliant privacy policy is required on website.I had a ring central walk me thru & told me what to say for #1. I added #2 onto my website and still got denied. VERY frustrated. this is insane.

When I connect my mobile phone to my Ford Sync, I cannot hear the person on the other end through my speakers.  I have an S21U phone, the call comes in through the app, I answer and I cannot hear them.  The person on the other end can hear me, but I hear nothing.  All other apps work fine. Anyone else having an issue like this?

Is there a way to show the user extension on our phone screen at the top header instead of showing the number (DID)? We are using Yealink T46U phones. This seems like it would be a simple setting but we can’t find it anywhere.

Is there not a way to create a primary Member schedule. I have a phone queue that changes hands daily where one member has Mondays and one answers the phones on Tuesdays and another one on Wednesdays. I’m told that we go in every morning and change the member who accepts queue calls. Is there not a way to create a schedule so that it turns over to the next person on its own?

Hello.I understand that call recording files are held by RingCentral for 90 days before being deleted.We are trying to get our RedBox system set up to archive these calls. As a contingency we are looking at SFTPing them before our 90 day limit hits. Does anyone know if I start downloading them now via SFTP they will be flagged on Ring Central's system as being downloaded already, or deleted? I don't want to interfere with our potential system which is in development but am a bit concerned that we may loose files if not sorted soon. Many thanks

We're registered and approved with the new 10DLC regulations, but ever since this was implemented we've been having issues with T-Mobile customers. We can't receive their inbound SMS and our outbound SMS messages are intermittent and far from reliable. Has anyone else experienced issues with T-Mobile since 10DLC became the new norm?
