Is there a way to completely turn off all access to faxing features and not allow incoming/outgoing faxes?

I’m trying to use the following APIs for a data extraction pipeline using the Python SDK, grouped at a user-level...Aggregate:/analytics/calls/v1/accounts/~/aggregation/fetchTimeline:/analytics/calls/v1/accounts/~/timeline/fetchI am struggling with both the page limitation and rate limit, and was wondering if anyone had done this before, since just one day’s worth of data seems to tip it over the edge.What is the best way to iterate and feed the page number into the query parameters successfully?

We have a Main line that rings on 4 phones at the same time for incoming calls.  Those 4 phones also have their own individual line.  When one of us is going to be out we forward our phone to one of the other 3 people.  We just realized when any of us forward their individual phone, and a call comes in on the main line, no one else’s phone rings just flashes once and a missed call(s) message pops up, giving us no chance to answer.  Tried search for this issue no luck. Not sure where to begin.

We are getting ready to switch our current provide to Ring Central. Our current provider allows us to page all desk phones at once. A companywide page to all users is what we need. Currently it appears this is not possible in Ring Central? It's limited to 25 devices/users that can be paged at once. Is this true? Only 25 users max can be paged at once?

I want to revisit the 25 phone paging device limitation. Is there any creative workaround to extend this limit? The issue with network traffic is, to me, nonsense on an enterprise-level gigabit network, particularly in a health care facility where a medical code incident must be broadcast to various offices that will never contain paging speakers. FWIW our previous Cisco UCS system implemented Informacast which could page 250+ phones and our network somehow survived the onslaught every time I tested it. ;-)

Hello, I keep getting pop-up notifications on my Windows desktop that just say “private” with no other description. I don’t know what it is. It’s not a text, voicemail, missed call, fax, or video. But it keeps doing it at odd hours and usually several times in a row so my computer just keeps beeping. I don’t want to turn off notifications. I just want to know what these particular notifications are for. Thank you.

As the title says.  Some of our clients are unable to place inbound calls to us, or send inbound text messages to us from their cellular phones.  This problem appears to be intermittent, and when it happens, no call logs are generated in the RingCentral admin panel as far as we can tell.  It’s happening often enough that it’s becoming an issue. Has anyone experienced anything like this?

When I create a holiday message under Auto-Receptionist/General Settings/Call Handling/Custom Rules , the date and time settings don’t automatically set the rule to active. For example, when I set a holiday greeting on the auto-receptionist to run conditionally on a date and/or time, the rule will not be set automatically and I have to manually go in and toggle the active slider. Is this by design or am I missing something in my rule set? (The schedule has expired in the pic below as I am writing this days after the event). 

I want keep incoming calls on hook so the calling party does not see the call off hook until it is answered by a person or by voicemail. Right now, any incoming call immediately goes off hook from the calling party’s point of view. This interferes with automated messages like xMatters or conference call instructions on how to join the meeting, to the point that they are unusable.This is not about ringback tones, it happens even on extensions that have “Play music while connecting” turned off.

We have 5 people set up on a call queue, every time a call comes in and someone answers one of the other people in the call queue still experience a ringing tone. only way to stop it is to sign out of ring central and sign back in. How do I stop this from happening?

Looking at the Automator, have you all thought about offering an automation based on a Set Status in the system? I work on a very small team that handles a large volume of leads. We do in person interviews so it would be great to be able to set ‘In a Meeting’ Status and have an auto-reply setup for anytime that status is in use. 

I have an API that retrieves the company's call log. When I download the detailed report manually from the platform there is a column called Forwarded To that contains some calls that can be inbound or outbound. I want to retrieve those calls as well with the call log API that I already have (or identify those calls if they are already being retrieved). I am not sure that there is an additional API just for those calls (if so, the suggestion is welcomed too).Any help here is appreciated.

I am experiencing an issue where incoming callers receive no dial tone when calling my personal desk phone. For example, I will call my desk phone from my cell phone and receive no dial tone or ringing on the cell phone. This is happening when calling from other internal phones as well. This is a desk phone not a call queue so the “Audio while connecting” setting does not apply. I've resynced the desk phone, power cycled the phone, inspected call rules, even swapped the phone entirely. All without resolution. Any help would be appreciated. 

This is my 1st use of Ring central I find it impossible to navigate .  There does not appear to be a telehone number to speak to someone either. I stumble aound on the RingCentral sing in page but can not figure out  incoming call rings on my three extenstions.    I can log into my account but I can never find the “ Admin Portal”    Any Help out there?  I almost feel it would be best to find another VOIP company.   thoughts?  

I'm having a bit of trouble with frequent and repeated incoming calls. It's really disrupting my day and costing me time and money .I was wondering if there's a way to automatically save the names of frequent callers to the caller ID. That would be a huge help in identifying important calls and quickly dismissing less urgent ones.Alternatively, is there a feature to detect and flag repeated calls from the same number? Maybe even an option to alert or notify me before take the call ?Any suggestions or add-ons you can recommend would be greatly appreciated.Thanks for your help!

Hi Everyone, I’ll give you the context of the situation: I have a program that automatically checks people in my organisations calls they are making (using the Ring Central websocket) against the TPS (telephone preference service). If they flag as true then it sends an SMS notifying the user and (in theory currently) ends the call.The problem is that, while I can end my own calls, I cannot end the calls of others. I understand this is because the system doesn’t allow you to end others calls even if you are a super admin and have Call Control permissions on your app. I have trawled through the documentation and forum but I can’t find any answer. I do not want to create a JWT for every single user and login in each and every time it needs to end a call, it’s long-winded, requires constant monitoring, etc.For additional context, my users use the Ring Central desktop app, therefore there is no device names per say, however they are on the same network. When a customer calls when the call is Answered the script should pass the number into the search for client info of https://app.ezlynx.com What should the rest be. We were using what is in the TAG line below. The URL does open but not the client info.I also tried using the script below and changing Caller_number_raw to just P for phone. It opens the client files but all of them not just one. 

How do I get Ring Central to tell me "You have a call from BUSINESS NAME" when it forwards a call to my cell phone?

We use RingEX and RingCX.  If I turn on SSO via the EX admin portal, will that also enable SSO for CX?
