On a Poly VVX450, can you assign a delegate line to be the primary (outgoing) calling line?  Specifically, if the user just picks up the phone to dial a number, their main extension (the upper left corner of phone, position 1) lights up.  The user has 3 delegate lines on positions 10,11,12 on the phone.  Can we default the outgoing call to use one of the delegate lines instead of the primary extension for the user?The user can manually press one of the delegate buttons to make the call, but we are trying to simplify for them so they can just dial-out and it will be on the delegate line.NOTE: We have Caller-ID for both their primary line and the delegate line to use the same #.

We have added our own phone on the Ringcentral portal by manually provisioning the sip details. When the List Extension Devices API(https://platform.ringcentral.com/restapi/v1.0/account/accountId/extension/extensionId/device) is called the phone is identified as a OtherPhone. The phone has a unique device id being returned in the API response. But the supervision API mentions that it only works for Sotfphone/Hardpone type.Can anyone confirm if OtherPhone works for supervision?

Message sends have been failing for the last 24 hours with SendingFailed status. I don’t see any issues in the developer dashboard, and I don’t see a way to get more information from the API.This is a mission-critical application that has been working for many months. Any ideas on how to debug this to the next level of detail?I created a support ticket as well.

About 85% of the time, when I answer a call using the Ring Central App on my PC, and then transfer the call, I get a window “Transfer failed”. If I then go over to the desk phone and transfer that call it works fine. any ideas? Once in a while it works. Its a brand new PC, latest software, brand new network cables on fiber optics connection.

I have asked this in the past - but thought I’d bring it up again.Does anyone know, if RC has any plans of introducing the opinion for:Callers to dial zero when they reach a voice mail to be transferred to another (pre-determined) extension? Employees dial zero internally and reach the ‘operator’, (the operator ext. would be pre-determined).

I had an application built that relies on the SMS gateway. For the last several months, I have been experiencing issues and as of this last week the issues have escalated. Massive delays in text messages being sent after initiated, some being sent in the middle of the night. As of today, almost 100% of the API calls have failed. In my web application custom application, there is a form where some information is filled out and when the form is submitted it triggers 2 actions; 1 - The phone number entered in the form receives a text message2 - The information in the form is texted into a group text message  In the admin panel for my custom application, I am able to create new text groups and add or remove numbers in existing groups. For the last 2 months, every time I update a groups numbers the text messages stop going through. Sometimes, randomly, after a few days I’ll be able to update the numbers and it will start working with those new numbers. It’s not consistent at all, sometimes

We use Sensehq along side RC as our primary application for texting, but after TCR registration we are unable to send text messages. Sense is requesting we send over a LOA to RC, but we do not know who to send it to and need this fixed urgently.

Is there any way to get the auto-receptionist/attendant to go to an operator extension after playing the menu message once if there is no selection? I can only see an option to go to an extension after it repeats 3 times. It seems nuts that there wouldn't be a way to go directly after playing the message once, which is a common way to do this, so I hope there is a way.

We're having an issue where someone is trying to send us a fax and RC is flagging the number as a potential RoboCall which it is NOT. How can I whitelist this incoming fax number? I've searched high and low within the admin portal and found nothing to allow for this.

Hey, I have created a call queue on my admin portal and assigned a direct number to it. I just wanted to add all the inbound calls to this call queue. How can I do that using API’s or using admin portal? Said that, I just wanted to add incoming calls on my main extension to a call queue which have a direct number 838****** . What’s the way even using API’s. Besides that, how to remove the caller from the queue or how it will be removed? Need a brief description of how it’s working.Need a quick help because our business can’t wait more.

RC Folks - Did anything change on your side. We used to get webhook notification for outbound calls. it was working till Aug 6th. Please help. 

Recently calls on both Android and iPhone do not work when not using WiFi. It doesn’t matter if we select using mobile data or carrier minutes. Outgoing calls fail with a message that we have a bad connection. Incoming calls never get routed to the device. I know we have a good reception so it’s not that. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app as well but no luck.

How can I check the voicemail of a call queue from MY phone?

I answer two separate phone lines for my bosses. When they try to dial each other directly, those internal calls also ring to me. How can we bypass them ringing to me so they can quickly connect with one another? Is there a way for us to set up a rule for all internal 3-digit calls to automatically route to the bosses and not the assistants? Thank you!

Recently our ability to edit user profiles has been removed from the App. Not sure why or what changed, even me as the Super Admin cannot edit my own profile inside of the app. Any ideas?The tiny pin in the top right corner has been removed from all of our apps.
