I received information from a number of our users today that some of their incoming faxes are being marked as Robocalls. When they receive these in email, they are unable to open the PDF attachments.I have tried adding Company Contacts in the RingCentral app but none of them appear in the Company Contacts section. They all end up in the Admin's personal contacts. Since these are external sources with fax numbers only for contact and are typically a medical company or doctor's office, does each user have to add the "robocall" fax information to their own contacts?Thank you,Lucy

Recently installed several new OBi302 ATA to connect a few fax machines. When faxing to a RingCentral Digital Line the fax rings the person's Deskphone/Desktop App/Mobile App for several rings before the fax goes through. We have a handful of the same devices that are configured the same way in RingCentral that bypasses the ringing the users apps and goes directly to fax. Is there a setting on the OBi302 ATA that controls this?

I just sent a fax and was going to print the cover page. However, when I attempted to do so, RingCentral is downloading it as a TIFF instead of a PDF. It has ALWAYS downloaded as a PDF since 2016 when we started using RingCentral!! I tried to access faxes I sent last week and they are all trying to open in TIFF format. WHAT HAPPENED?!?

We have a number of employees that review our incoming faxes. We are running into an issue with some not being able to login. If there's a limitation on the number of devices that can log into Ring Central Fax? If so, how do I manage the devices so I can make sure only the employees that need access can log in?Thank you

There HAS to be an easy answer to this...I'm looking for a trash can icon or trash section -- need to find deleted faxes. I've looked all over both the Windows 10 Ring Central App (told no trash can there anymore) and the Web Browser-based customer portal online and admin portal (told it IS in customer portal online).*WHERE* is it??Thanks,Michael

Hi - where can I find faxes that are scheduled to send at a later time? I want to be able to see that the faxes I have schedules to send later are indeed scheduled and waiting to be sent. So far I have schedules 2 faxes to be sent at a later time, and I am only able to see one fx marked as "submitted", but does not show any information about scheduled time to send, etc. I see it in the "Sent" folder of the RingCenteral Windows program v. Version: 21.4.26.269 Web, 20.4.20.2685 Windows. However, when I click to "view" this fax I get the following error: "Invalid or corrupted PDF files" When I click "More Information" for this error it states "PDF.js v1.6.264 (build: 47a1c77) Message: Invalid PDF structure". Same problem in RingCenteral Phone App. Can only see 1 of the 2 faxes I scheduled to send at later time with no information about the date and time it is supposed to be sent. When I try to view the fax, I get the same erro

I've searched and searched but don't see an option in settings for sent faxes to also be emailed to me. I get a text when fax is successfully sent so I don't understand why it couldn't also notify via email along with the actual fax sent. I see there is an extension to save sent faxes to my cloud storage, but that compromises privacy so would like a different option. This is a big problem especially for the price I pay.

Hi,I am setting up a client in the health care with high faxing demands with Ring Central Cloud faxing. I'm wondering for high volume power users and fax intense environments should we setup an ATA adapter or scan to email (email to fax (@rcfax.com)). From the computer, we can of course use the Ring Central Desktop app, but I am wondering what would be the best FAX setup for MFP machines.Also, should we move to VoIP faxing with Ring Central or should we stick with POTS/Analog and simply add more physical fax lines.

Ring Central should make the Ring Central Virtual Print to Fax printer available in the new Ring Central app so we do not have to keep using the old Ring Central Desktop app. Many clients would like to be able to print from their Line of Business application to the Ring Central virtual fax printer and this should be on the road map in the next update release of the new Ring Central desktop app to be able to enable the Ring Central Virtual Print to Fax printer as the new Ring Central Desktop app is better than the old Desktop app but this is a missing function right now. We now have to maintain knowledge on both apps.

We are looking for an option to restrict certain number of fax sent from RC desktop app? Example, we need to restrict 10 fax per day send from desktop app, where will that can be configured? In app or admin console?

We have used this API for years now, is it deprecated now?

Can we customize fax cover or any kind of custom covet available for desktop application?

Is it possible yet for just the sender to receive the fax transmission results. I have faxing setup so all received faxes go to a group email address. I have up to 25 possible senders so I do not want everyone receiving transmission results from one sender. With the email distribution in the notification box, everyone gets it. If I add all of their names I would get the same result. Is there a way around this yet?

Hello- We have had several incidents where we have sent a fax and received the transmission result "failed" but then learned that the faxes actually went through. Any idea why that might happen and how to fix it?

I want to remove the "More" menu item from specific users either by Role or Template...can't find anywhere to do that. I need to setup a modified role standard user vs. a message only user to capture fax and vm's. This user will make no calls, and is setup as a modified standard user since I can't control all the proper permissions or apply a template for a message-only user.I basically want this user completely locked up to only allow the persons who login to this user to be able to download message or faxes via the call log.

When using the RC App to create an outbound fax on the template/form, there's no place to enter the recipient's name without having to create a new contact or writing the name in the note field. Could the To field be modified or a field added to accommodate the recipient's name and not just their fax number for proper routing

I recently downloaded the new RingCentral Desktop App (for Windows) on my computer, and it looks like there is not an option to have a custom Fax Cover Sheet like there was with the previous version. Are there plans to incorporate custom fax covers soon?

When I try to use Zapier to take a file from Google Drive and send a fax using RingCentral, all that RingCentral sends is a cover sheet. So not only is the PDF not being sent, but a cover sheet is the only page despite selecting no cover sheet in Zapier. If I change the step to send me an email, the PDF comes through just fine. Has anyone successfully sent a fax using Zapier?

Would you please make text typed into Body of email-to-Fax messages render on first page of received faxes?This would be very convenient for RingCentral users who simply need to send a brief Fax message of a sentence or two, instead of having to open a Word Processor program, typing the message into that, name the file and save it, then attach that file to the email-to-fax @rcfax.com message.Some of RingCentral's competitors have been offering this useful feature for many years.When RingCentral Fax users type text into the emai-to-fax Subject line, that text appears on the first page of the fax.Please enhance this by also allowing whatever text is is typed into the Body of an email-to-fax message to also appear on the first page of the received fax.Thank you!

Hello there,Its possible to send a fax via outlook/email client to a fax number with @rcfax.com. Can we not do the same with a multifunction printer by using the scan to email function? I have tested but it seems to not go through.

We send faxes via email. That stopped working on Apr 22, 2021.RingCentral had informed us about Email-to-Fax Security Enhancement that they were going to perform on Apr 21, 2021. No downtime was expected. After the update, faxes sent with DKIM signatures that do not match with the domain's public DNS records will fail. If you do not use DKIM signatures with your emails, you will not see any change with your email-to-fax transactions.We don't use DKIM. For us, no action was necessary. However, email-to-fax stopped working the following day.Our outgoing messages have no DKIM headers:Authentication-Results: spf=none (sender IP is x.x.x.x) smtp.helo=subdomain.domain.com; accountname.mail.onmicrosoft.com; dkim=none (message not signed)And yet, we were impacted.WorkaroundHere's the workaround we applied.
