I am installing the RingCentral app on several of our Macs,and unless I am missing it, I dont see a setting in preferences for the app to launch at boot/login.Is this set somewhere else?

If it's only one app for all communications why should I need to keep the RC phone app on my cell to make and receive calls? I don't want to use the GLIP/ RingCentral app and a headset in my office. The only option in that app says if it's turned off that i have to use the RC App to make or take calls. Is that still the case?

We are offering phone support to another established office in another town, we run separate businesses. When THEY make calls from their phone, caller ID (what the client see) should be THEIR phone number (not ours). It also would be nice to have an identification ring for when their calls get transferred here, we know to answer it differently. We have set a specific ring type set (in our phone's contacts), but that only works when that office calls us directly. We have call display set to "number called" so that is a temporary fix, but we are missing the caller display.

How do you send a vcard with RingCentral (both softphone and mobile app)?

We are a U.S. law firm that uses RingCentral soft phones. With the last update we lost the ability to see the call duration by clicking the i button in the call log to see event details. Now we have to open the browser based call log to see duration of the call we just ended. See related post asking for duration to appear in the call log without clicking to view event details, which we would appreciate. The solution for that post was to click the phone icon to show duration of call in progress, but that is not accessible once disconnected. We need to be able to look at duration after the call to record time without resorting to the cumbersome process of signing into the web app call log.Lets vote this up to restore functionality that was useful and should never have been removed.

My router stopped working so I started using a regular switch to plug my RC phone into the modem. It now has a DHCP Failed error and "time/date out of sync" message. Along with the fact that it simply isn't working. No dial tone etc. I've power cycled everything multiple times. Power cycled the phone 3 times in a row. At this point I'm not sure what needs to be done.

I am out of the office frequently, so I have my calls automatically forwarded to my cell. When I answer from my cell, three out of four times, the other party cannot hear me and hangs up. I can hear them fine. Is there anything I can do to make the forwarding more reliable? In the US and I have ATT for cell service.

HI all, I am not technology savvy so please bear with me. I use the AT&T Velocity hotspot since its the only service available where I live. I received a Polycom VVX 450 phone and wondering if it is possible to make this work with a hotspot connection?

I interrupted a recorded file conversion from rcrecord to mp4. Now, it's stuck as rcrecord. Is there a way I can correct this and convert it to mp4? When I select the double_click_to_convert file, it downloads, but as an rcrecord file.US AccountVersion 6.3.135305.12132 users and 1 client affected

Hi, is there any way that we can reduce / stop the delay in a call when someone speaking and us hearing them and vice versa? as we seem to be constantly speaking over each other?

When we moved from our old phone system to RingCentral, we had many organizations who would call in, and their phone number and business name would show up. I'm not really sure how this worked, but there must have been some kind of directory that could grab the company name. In RingCentral, we have yet to see any company name show up on inbound calls; they all just show as "Unknown."It would see like our Incoming Call Information is set to allow for company names to come through. Perhaps the RingCentral Caller ID database is just very limited.

All of my organization's users (all are in USA) are showing with a gray dot indicating their presence as invisible. When a user clicks on their upper right picture (to adjust settings) - it shows invisible. And when the user manually selects Available it almost immediately switches back to invisible. Since the recent update for the new RC desktop app from 19.8.1 to 19.9.1, the new Outbound Caller ID for Texts preference does not appear to work. It doesn't seem to matter which Outbound Caller ID I select for Texts, the texts always come from the same main company number just like they did before. I have tried multiple contacts and switched between main and direct numbers, I signed out of all apps and signed back in and the ability to send a text from another number still doesn't appear to work. Anyone else having this problem?

Good morning, new to ring central.... Where is my pin number stored? As I try to make a new message it keeps asking for my pin... thanks in advance

Scenario: we are a small 4 people company (Adam, Alice, George, Joe) using ring central Canada. What we previously done was setup three extensions: extension 1 for Adam with digital line (as default), extension 2 for support and extension 3 for sale. When extension 1 gets a call, it will forward ring to Adams cell phone. When extension 2 gets a call, it will forward ring to Adams cell phone and forward ring Joes cell phone. When extension 3 gets a call, it will forward ring to Georges cell phone and forward ring Alices cell phone. Each extension gets about 15 calls a month. When employee calls customer back, they use their cell phone plus the ring out feature, so clients see the single company number as caller ID and not employees private number.When we sign up a few years ago, this was the recommended method and has worked okay under the pre-mobile user system. Is there a way to re-configure this, to maintain the pre-mobile user pricing? So that customer still phones the cen

My company uses RC for recording sales calls, and it works very well; we are very happy with it. However, we have had issues with the human element in regards to getting the calls downloaded and maintaining everything, since RC's logs only go back 90 days. A rep once mentioned plans to allow for automated back-up/downloading of logs without requiring a person manually do it every few days.Would anyone here be able to confirm if such a thing is on RC's roadmap or estimate when we might expect that feature, if it is planned/feasible?

The volume automatically reduces on some calls answered through the Ring Central app and continues to do so throughout the call. What is the fix?

We often get calls where we tell the caller to call another number (not part of our company). We would like to forward the caller to that other number without having to dial it. The idea was to transfer the call to a special extension that has a call handling rule to forward to the 3rd party number.Would this work?Thanks

On my iOS phone, I have both the RC Phone app and the RingCentral Collaboration app. I sign into both with the same credentials - but the Collaboration app doesn't have any the Call option at the bottom. I've talked to my account manager and he's shown me his - which show the same as the screen shot in the app store (Message, Call, Meet, Contact, More). Whereas when I login, I get (Message, Meet, Contact, Tasks, Team Events). It's the latest version available in the app store, I've restarted and double checked I am logging into both with the same credentials..... Any ideas?

We have several groups set up within RingCentral.All users have calls forwarded to their mobile phones.Multiple users within these groups report issues with receiving calls.The following problems occur regularly (at least daily)...(1) Call does not ring at all on the forwarded smart phone (however the call does show up as a "missed call" in the RingCentral reporting features).(2) Call rings, but pressing "1" to accept the call does nothing. I have a RC glitch where my phone will ring, but when I answer the call the "receiving call" screen doesn't go away. I can hear the person calling, but the phone continues to ring, and the call drops after about 30 seconds.
