We are having an issue with accepting calls that are forwarded to a mobile number. Basically our workflow goes like this: Someone calls our number and they choose 1 for English. That calls 2 numbers on a rotating basis. For some of our receptionists they are unable to connect the call by pressing 1 when prompted. This only happens to a small subset of our people that the calls are forwarded to. After much troubleshooting we have narrowed down a potential cause. If we show the Incoming Caller ID, i.e. the number of the person calling, the receptionist will without fail be able to press 1 when their phone rings to accept the call. However, If we changed that to Called Number things start to go down hill. For some specific receptionist they will be unable to accept the call no matter how many times they press 1. In fact, sometimes the call just automatically disconnects. This odd behaviour also exhibits itself if you append a series of digits either before or after a phone number. We w

During the transition (for lack of a better term) customer service has indicated I should keep both apps (this was pursuant to an ongoing issue with the unified app receiving, but not sending , sms texts). Is that still true, and if so is there a point where Ring Central Phone officially gets retired and users should only use Ring Central. Its confusing at present, and it would be nice to just have one app to use.

Is there a way to bypass the company greet so a caller can go directly into the queue? We have a rather long greeting due to some recent changes and the we get the same callers. One caller mentioned how they would like to bypass the greeting to go into the queue.

U.S. based Ringcentral Cisco desk phone connecting to a Mac.So I just received my Cisco SPA508G phone. I have a Mac. Due to wireless issues I am running a hardline from our internet providers modem > our router > my computer. How should I connect the phone to the internet AND the computer? Should the line running from the router go directly into the back of the phone, with the computer "jumped" off the phone? Or should I run the hard line to the computer then "jump" the phone off the computer? In either case which port does the computer and hard line plug into the phone? . I see an "SW" port and a "PC" port.

I get the following message when I click on the > (play) button. I can play messages on my Android phone but not my Win 10 laptop. "cannot play the voice mail message because audio file is invalid" Release: 10.3.5.34099

During this period with only the desktop RingCentral Phone app, will presence and status set in RingCentral (mobile or desktop) sync with the RingCentral Phone desktop app? I'm forced to use the RingCentral mobile app while the office is using RingCentral Phone on our desktops (much better interface with the HUD than the desktop RingCentral app has for our needs, frustrated by its retirement), and it seems the two different apps don't communicate.

This is NOT a "question" and it CERTAINLY is not "praise"! RingCentral conference call disaster! I tried to use the conference call feature for a telephonic conference. It was a disaster. Intermittent crosstalk from some other conversation drifted in and out, rendering our conversation unintelligible. After a frustrating and embarassing minute I had to shout repeated suggestions to the other participants to pursue alternative arrangements. Never did succeed in reconnecting all participants. Terrible! How can I ever use this "service" again? How can I "invite" people I need to confer with to a session of pure frustration and embarrassment? How can I know that's not what I'm doing whenever I try to use RingCentral? Conference capability is part of what I am paying you for. You have one very unhappy customer. One thing I like about google voice is you can set to forward any text messages that come into your google voice number to your native mobile number and on your mobile reply back to that and it somehow knows the number. This is super convenient with Siri because it works with the native Siri capabilities. Is there any way to do this with Ringcentral?

I have our company hours set at 8:00am-5:00pm (weekdays). The IVR settings for both company hours greeting and after hours greeting is set to bypass greeting and and go to our receptionists extension. The call handling for this user (receptionist) is to ring their extension during User Hours and unconditional forwarding to an on call cell phone for After Hours. When I call our main line at 5:01pm, the call immediately forwards to the on call cell phone. When I call our main line at 7:30am, the call rings our office and NOT the on call cell phone. I have checked every single setting I find when searching for after hours call forwarding in the community posts and it appears I have everything set correctly. What am I missing? We are a 24/7 company and need all phone calls answered.

So we have call forwarding setup during business hoursThe sequence is1. Landline Number (Cable service)2. Business A cellphone #3. Business B cellphone #4. Business C cellphone #Our problem is when the landline phone (1.) is in use, I'm assuming the next ring will go to Business A cell number, but it doesn't, we end up missing the call entirely. As a healthcare business, all calls are important to us. Please advise.

How do you delete a co-worker from Glip. This person has resigned, so just need to get rid of them. There isnt any option in the Company team to remove them.Under Manage Members, there is only one option, to enable/disable them as Admin

UK accountThe PRS/PPL have contacted us to pay for licensing for using the hold music within RingCentral and inContact.RingCentral and inContact have not been able to come back to us with ownership rights.We can change the provided music to out of copyright classical/ other non copyright music but we are surprised that the paperwork isn't available to prove that we don't require a licence/that the owners of the copyright have agreed our use.Has anyone else encountered this? I work for a restaurant company in San Francisco and we rely heavily n talking to customers to ensure their experience is the best possible. would like to be able to have my callers have the chance to be transferred back to the phone after hearing my voicemail prompt. So they have one more chance to catch me in person before leaving a message.Even if this means that the caller has to hit an extension number it would be handy t have that option at the end as well.

We're rolling out RingCentral phone in the company.Since this monday, we've got a new issue in the RingCentral Chrome Extension settings.Some employees cannot authorize the access to Google Contacts. When they click on Google Authorize buttton nothing happens. They don't see the new display with the login screen from google. For other employees in the same session, it works.Worst, as a trainer, I've disconnected the autorization. Now, I cannot authorize the Google contacts access.Same issue on Chrome Extension on windows or chromeOS on a chromebook.I've seen the same issue in this community but it was a year ago for an older version of the extension.We are in the last version of the extension 4.1.14, last version of chrome, employees are in the same google and microsoft organization units.The IT department has opened a ticket on RingCentral support.Are we the only ones to meet this

We have assumed another business and the calls are coming to my business phone only. I would like for the calls to appear under the different business name so that I may answer accordingly. This has created a confusion for customers who call in. We are an orthodontic supply company and the new company is a business previously owned by a speaker who taught orthodontics. Is there a way to upload #s in groups for texting more than one at a time?

I have attempted to delete unread faxes, and every time I reopen my computer in the morning, they show up again. So I continually have 11 unread items showing, which then removes my ability to use the "red dot" as my indicator for new messages. Please help. Why won't these stay deleted?

Is there an uninstaller for Mac? Support is telling me no (they first said to just delete the app), but it leaves items for RingCentral and Glip in ~/Library/Application Support. Not sure where else it leaves things...

Using latest Plantronics Hub (Ver 3.13.2 build 41952) with Voyager Focus UC. Under Settings - Software Settings - Target Softphone there is no option for RingCentral. What should I select? I'm having constant issues with the popup "Plantronics Device Controls Disabled". RingCentral KB ID 10726 is not helpful at all. I'm thinking that the proper selection of "Target Softphone" with the Hub software might help.
