When installing, and especially when upgrading to a new release, the Ring Central Desktop software should not set the RC Fax as the default printer.I understand you guys are proud of the work you do, but almost nobody sends faxes these days, and RC Desktop should not be so aggressive in setting itself up as the default printer. I have seen this twice now, first when I initially installed the software, and then again when an update came out and I installed that. From a user perspective it makes no sense as I'm am almost never going to send a fax, so I never want it as default. It should be available when I need it, but otherwise should not change my settings.

Hi,i am very frustrated and concerned about my TCR registration. I submitted a form back in January that was rejected. I have since resubmitted the pdf form but was also instructed to submit through the admin portal. The Enhanced Business SMS option is not available through the portal. I have an open ticket Case #17266228 to try to figure out why I don't have the portal option.Meanwhile, the 2nd pdf from I submitted and uploaded is not yet in status of "received:. I have called the tcr registration team and my account rep, daily, with no answers. Please help. I desperately need to text my customers; my business is more dependent on texting than phones. I am at the point of looking at other vendors like 8X8 and moving my phone system to them if they can get my account registered in a timely manner.

I have several message-only lines set up for various purposes. I need to get the call data from one of those lines, specifically the number of calls made last month. This is trivial for regular users and queues, but I can’t find any way in Analytics to get this info for a message-only line. The call log shows a bunch of calls for this line, but that info can’t be exported in any useful way. 

Voicemail greetings: I prefer not to use the default voicemail greeting, prefering to record in my own voice. When I travel, I record an away message, but when I return, I have to re-record my User Hours message every time. Is there any way to store my User Hours message more permanently, so that I don't have to re-record it every time I return from business travel or vacation?

How many years must we have to wait for SMS to be added as a functionality for Australian RingCentral customers?!What is the hold-up?  Every RingCentral representative says it’s on the roadmap, but currently unsupported.  What if we had every RingCentral client in Australia contact RingCentral support within the same week submitting this complaint and feature request?  Or maybe we have a strike and refuse to pay invoices until there is action on getting the service added?

When calling into our RingCentral number there is a no dial-tone. This is a new problem and I can't figure out how to fix it.

Just got the app installed.  The 2-pager PDF user guide is very minimal.  Any help would be appreciated

Our agency has been experiencing blockages with incoming calls from in-state phones with Verizon and AT&T. When those with these providers call our line, main & direct, they hear hold music, fax noises, then an AI generated voice prompt that cannot understand anything being said. When this call occurs, we get no record of it in our system. We have experienced these calls ourselves, and it is becoming more frequent by the day. We tested calling a direct line twice, and a foreign person answered the phone. We don’t understand why this is happening, or why people are dialing our exact numbers and still experiencing this issue. It has been over two weeks with no resolution from RingCentral, AT&T or Verizon. All providers are asking we contact the opposing provider since no issues are detected in their system. I am looking to see if anyone has/or is experiencing a similar issue. 

Today, incoming calls are automatically going to voice mail.My office hours are set as 24-7.DND setting is off.Using most recent version of desktop and phone app. 

In the initial set up stage and having an initial with call forwarding from Google Voice, When submitting the number to port, will there be any loss of using that number during that time period? Trying toa void any misses or lost calls!!

I'm in a branch office in Brazil and some operators haven't been able to complete the calls, RingCentral doesn't receive the notification and these numbers aren't displayed in the call logs.Does anyone have any idea what it could be?

How can the receptionist easily see who is logged into a call queue? It would help our receptionist know who is logged into what call queue. How can our receptionist easily see this? 

How do you change a users name in video call. The information on the sight is from four years ago and is no longer relevant.

I looked for posts on this topic and only found some that are 2+ years old without resolution.  A Team’s Description can only be viewed by clicking on “More” then “View team profile.”  This makes it minimally useful.Apparently the Description formerly appeared on the right when a team was selected (along with members, pins, etc.) but a UI change did away with this.  It would be helpful to restore this.  Alternately, it would be useful to make Description appear when hovering over a Team (with the mouse pointer).

Hello!I need some help. I've tried registering with TCR several times, but I always get denied. I’ve added all the requested information, but I keep encountering issues. Now they’re saying the problem is with the opt-in on the website, but it’s there under the "Contact Us" section. I’m not sure what else to do. We would like all team members to see all call activity; we need to be able to easily see the guests who’ve contacted us today - regardless of who they talked to or what extension they used.

I currently receive a copy of an incoming text from my client to my email. However, I don’t get a copy of my reply or ongoing conversation sent to my email.  This would be a great feature to add to archive conversations for compliance purposes and record-keeping purposes. 

We rely on Google local service ads and ever since RC turned on, every single one has not rung through, not shown as missed, not left a message, nothing./ Like it didn’t effing happen. The only reason we even know we missed a call is because Google sends an email telling us so. This is a HUGE deal breaker if LSA simply aren’t supported or something. And definitely something that should have been disclosed during the initial sales call since we told RC that’s exactly what we wanted the service for.Anyway, any one else deal with this?

incoming calls for all phones is forwarding to voicemail without ringing. service status doesn’t show anything down.

I have continuously gotten denied, paid multiple fees due to the denials and now I’m being prompted that:Opt-Out language missing from sample messages Compliant privacy policy is required on website.What does this even mean? there is no guidance on this on RingCentral’s website. This is dumb - If you’re denied - you shouldn’t get charged time and time again to re-submit. 

Hi everyone,I'm trying to configure my RingCentral setup to route calls and text messages to specific operators, but I'm a bit stuck on how to get it working exactly the way I want.Here's the situation:I have a main company phone number (number1) and an operator1 phone number (number2) I would like operator1 to ONLY receive the text messages and voice calls to number2 (their direct line) I would like operator2 to receive BOTH SMS and Voice calls for both number1 (the main company line) and number2 (their own line)Essentially, operator1 should only handle their own direct communication, while operator2 needs to be able to field everything coming in to both lines.Is this possible to configure within RingCentral?I've been brainstorming a few ideas, but I'm not sure if they're the best or even feasible:Create a new RingCentral account (account2) and have

Greetings, New client in Eval of Ring Central Currently a DialPad user  We enabled our service yesterday, and we are able to process calls by way of Wifi, however we have tested Helium Mobile (T-Mobile) and US Mobile (T-Mobile / Sprint Blend) both of which drop the Ring Central outbound call request instantly. DialPad has worked for us for years, we have a ticket in, is this something others have seen by way of a New Client On-Boarding?Best, Dave

I have several desk phones that were assigned limited extensions that are no longer needed. My end goal is to use the phones as spares and move the telephone numbers into inventory. The extension is no longer needed and would like to delete it. I can't seem to find any documentation to accomplish this. Any help would be appreciated.Thank you

I would like to have a print out of phone codes like(#123- transfer to voice mail) on a desk phone connected to a Polycom OBi302. pressing #1 will get you extension 1.

I have a message auto-reply built inside of the automator to send an SMS reply when anyone sends an SMS message containing a certain keyword to our main phone number (successcully registered TCS and campaign) and when I test it from the automator “test” button it works great.  Then when I enable it and try the exact same steps no auto-reply happens.  I don’t know where else to look or what else to try.. PLEASE HELP!  The company is losing patience with the process and has threatened to look to other solutions. I would very much prefer to not do that and start all over.
