One of our customers has Zentinel TCIV-2 Video/Audio intercoms at their facilities and would like to have those devices call our offices after hours for support. I contacted RC technical support and while the tech was extremely helpful, he wasn't positive this functionality will work as desired. One thing that's throwing a wrench in our configuration is that we don't want to be able to call from our office TO the call boxes, just from the call boxes to our office. We're also potentially going to need dozens of these devices setup, which is something we'd prefer not to have to assign phone numbers for.I've read through this post from 2017 where a user had a number configured, so I know the integration is possible, but we'd prefer to cut out the extra cost/time/configuration for setting up dozens of numbers, devices, and users.

I'm really happy with the new HUD on the desktop app. My preference is to have the HUD undocked on a separate screen so I can stay on the messages section on the main window but also have the HUD open. Is it possible to have this preference saved or remembered for the next time I open the app?

My company has been using RC for ~10 years, and we've had a HUD via the RC 'Phone App' for 5 of those. We've come to rely on the HUD as a visual insight into the status of other users, who's tied up on a call, who's on lunch, etc. Frankly, it might be the feature we value the most in the app.For a long time now I have been watching RC's progress with the new app, waiting for it to be fully functional before I considered migrating my users. This evening I downloaded the new (desktop) app to evaluate it and, much to my shock and surprise, it doesn't appear that this app has a HUD. I just can't imagine this to be true, though, so I am hoping that I've missed a setting somewhere and that it can be turned on? Can anyone shed some light on this mystery for me?PS: I read a ton of documentation before posting this. For some reason, I've stopped being able to see when a specific user is on a call. I've checked under Presence and Permissions, made sure we all have permission to see, and restarted the affected phones. No dice. Is there maybe something on the deskphone itself that I need to adjust? I can see when other people in the office are on the phone, it seems to only be one extension.We are only on Deskphone, not any of the mobile apps or desktop apps.

When I schedule a video meeting on the new Desktop App, it defaults to UTC-05:00 America/Bogata.Is there a way for it to template to UTC-5:00 US/Eastern? It is ridiculous that I have to change the time zone every time I set up a meeting.

My end users are unable to uninstall the soon to be deprecated RC phone app. This is on Windows 10. All users are admins and have privileges to uninstall.

A customer dials a direct number, and I have 3 groups of call queues (Sales, Customer Service, Fallbacks) that I had hoped to overflow to the next one after x amount of rings. However, Overflow Groups don't allow our preferred simultaneous calling on the primary call queue. Does anyone know of any other way to emulate a waterfall-like call queue system that does simultaneous calls for each member in each round/group?

How do I fix this?We use a ring group to forward simultaneously forward to our users. When they pickup a call from the ring group, in the HUD it does not show the user who picked up the call as 'busy' or 'active call'. Instead it shows the original user, through which the ring group was activated as 'active call'...It doesnt matter if the call goes to a physical desk phone, mobile app or windows app.How do i fix this?

I just upgraded my computer last week, and it hasn't worked correctly since. I've deleted and reinstalled twice. I used the web-based app, as that was suggested in the forum, but I get the same results. It is slow to the point of being unusable. Outbound calls NEVER go out, and Inbound calls ring to my PC, but I can't answer. It seems like general system slowness, but this is the ONLY app experiencing the problem. My IT team is stumped.

The RingCentral app on my android device is no longer ringing. Looking at the google play feedback, 2 other members also write in the same complaint. I checked my settings and they have not been changed. I have a meeting scheduled where I originally opted to NOT have a waiting room. We are having issue with calls being sent to the queue and it doesn't ring any available agents.Initially, I had it to ring all simultaneously and occasionally (5-6 times a day), you will see call sits in the queue for more than 10 minutes and then eventually become abandoned.I then have it set up queue as rotating and setup to transfer calls waited over 3 minutes to send to voice mail (rather than losing the call) but I can still find calls sits in the queue for over 3 minutes and then changed to abandoned after 4-5 minutes.I have re-created the queue as support suggested and it doesn't help.Does anyone have experience with losing calls in the call queue?

I have a small patient care practice with multiple people answering the phones, voice mails and faxes. I need a single place (as much as possible). What's the easiest solution. I set up a phone queue but "waiting in the queue" is OK but the callers need to be able to leave a message if they don't want to wait. If they leave a message I need an easy place for everyone to share getting the messages. So thinking maybe, shared extension is better, or is that silly since there doesn't seem to be an easy way for people to share checking the voice mails. Is there a way to force a footer on the bottom of every fax cover sheet (HIPAA compliance notice)? There seems to have previously have been a way to add a custom cover sheet, but that function seems to be gone (at least in the Win app). Is there a way to globally load a cover sheet or force any cover to include a footer I create?

The RingCentral app is continuously looping at startup, just keeps acting like it wants to open, but never does. Anyone else seeing this or know of a fix? Our company recently got rid of our old telecom system and have moved exclusively to VOIP with ring. Currently, our voicemails are forwarded to a designated email folder in the company email suite. Regular users cannot access voicemail messages from the app. Where can I go to change it so that all users can receive voicemails to the ring application? TK

Hello there,At work probably 1 in 20 calls on my phone is actually for me.I'm in a call group called Support and I only answer those if they ring for 1 minute or more.As the majority of calls that ring on my phone are for support, when I'm engrossed in work and the phone rings, I don't even look at the screen and so I miss the few internal or DDI calls.It would make things much better if direct calls to my phone (internal or external) had one ringtone and any calls to my phone from being in a group could have a different ringtone.It seems this isn't possible at the moment, but I hoe it could be added, as I reckon a lot of people could benefit from it.

Business partner uses short codes for text messages, i can read them but can not respond. how does this get resolved. Must cancel if unable to to enable short code text responses.
