RingEX: Phone, SMS, & Fax

I have a phone number that I use for voice and texting and it goes through RingCentral. I use MyCase case management software and there is an option to use Twilio for text communications. I’m told that I can reprogram the texts sent to my number to forward to the Twilio number. How involved is that process? How long does it take to set things up? Is it something that the customer does, or do we go to our RingCentral rep (Spectrum) to do all that? 

RC EX platform recording inbound/outbound anyway to mask or mute by the user?

I am on the newest version of the RingCentral RCM and am having this error come up when logging calls.

Good afternoon,Recently migrated to RingCentral and users have begun to download both the RingCentral Desktop App and Mobile Apps but there are discrepancies between their views. I can’t find any obvious differences in roles, licenses, etc between the users that would explain the discrepancy. Screenshots below are the user’s RC desktop view versus mine. On the left hand side, they are missing the phone/text/fax options. It’s the same on the mobile app, they are missing phone/text options compared to my own. If anyone’s had this issue before or can explain what the issue is that would be great. Thanks!

I’m on a Mac using the desktop application from RingCentral. I’m using the scan to fax feature using a brother multifunction scanner. The function to scan and fax works well however the recipients receive an extremely poor quality image. My suspicion is that the resolution is low, and this option cannot be altered in any of the settings on the RingCentral app. 

Has anyone found out how to fix the quality of outgoing faxes? I am faxing scanned pdf files and when I send it there is no problem. When I open the confirmation saying it was sent and hit the view button, it is grainy with black dots all over and hard to read. Any suggestions?

I have been a RC user for many years… We have never been able to pick up the phone and press zero and it ring a pre-determined ‘operator’ ext. Has RingCentral made this a thing as of yet? As of right now, a caller (external) can not call a user, hit their voice mail and press zero and reach another (pre-determined) user (or the operators) voice mail… RingCentral has said for years they would be making this very basic and common feature - according to other VoIP Providers a thing - but as far as I know, they have not as of yet? Or have they?

I bought a business recently.  The business number is now owned by me.  Except the monthly bill currently says the previous owner and owners address.  How do I port in the number?  I have had zero luck getting an answer. 

I work for a County Government agency and most specifically the IT department for that County Government and I support users who use OKTA Verify to obtain One-Time 6-digit Authorization Codes via SMS/Text Messages and are attempting to get our TCR/SMS campaign approved.  We have updated our language in these texts to include options for STOP, START, and HELP all of which have been successfully tested internally and have provided examples of each of these options in our campaign.I have entered multiple tickets with Ring Central TCR Support to try and get our campaign in the most tip-top of shapes before submitting it for approval.  Unfortunately, each time we ask to have our campaign reviewed we are told a that it is not correct and get a different reason each time we go through the review process.  At this time I believe we have everything wrapped up except for a clear definition of what is the appropriate method for obtaining consent in order to get the campaign approved.Does anyone h

Having an issue with our yealink W70p phone (the W70B base and W59rR phone).It was working until today. We have 3 phones for 3 different extensions. Extension 2 goes to cordless phone 1 (W59R- the one phone that is auto provisioned, the other 2 are manually provisioned). The caller cannot hear us but we can hear them. The other 2 phones are not having this issue. I am assuming it has to be some kind of setting with the IP address server or something along those lines. Or maybe a setting on the Admin portal? I could use some help.

Our TCR has been denied 2x now. Do you have direct person for us to work with to get approval? We are doing our diligence to be in compliance with no help and support. Our campaign is not unsolicited We are replying to a request.

I have attempted to get it right since October 10th. I’ve gotten multiple rejections.Finally on December 23, I seem to have gotten it right. I haven’t gotten rejected  I was told to wait 20 business days, and now it seems I’m being told to wait longer. I’ve reached out to the TCR team several times and I’ve even told that it would be escalated. I then waited a week and called again and was told it would be escalated. Then I asked to speak to someone on the “escalation team” and I was told they don’t take calls, but I was given a number to call. the number and email I was given was my account manager who responded to my email by telling me to call the TCR team. This is affecting my business. We aren’t even made aware when a client attempts to text us- we only just found this out a week ago when a client told us they had tried to text us. can someone help! please!

Yesterday at 4:26pm ET, our company's ability to send or respond to "text" messages just stopped. Now, we just get an error message stating "Unable to send message. Sorry this message couldn't be delivered." However, I can still receive messages. And I can still send photos, videos, and docs just not texts. This happened last month in which my account manager stated that I need to add a sms bundle, which I did and that tripled my monthly bill, but now it's not working again.I filled out the TCR application AFTER the issue started yesterday in which my brand is now registered and I'm waiting on the campaign to be approved. However, I'm not certain that this has anything to do with the TCR since I'm able to send photos, videos, and docs without limitation.I have called several times in which no one has an answer for me. When we dial out there is no sound and we can’t hear if the customer answered or if it went to voicemail. (But sound does come through in the recording) Calls going directly to voicemail on the customers end 

Is there a way to have the IVR selection show up with the Caller ID when using the RingCentral Salesforce Integration? 

I was trying to port our main office number from office@hand to ring central. Both are voip providers. Office@hand uses ring central software. After the porting was successful, we are still not able to use the number anywhere - in neither applications. Ring central tells us it’s probably office at hand’s fault. We contact office@hand and they give us ring central’s email address!!!! the same one!!! they say that the ring central porting team also handles office at hand porting.The ported number still shows up at my office@hand account and it’s still visible, but not usable, on my office@hand app. Neither apps work to make outbound calls and neither apps are accepting inbound calls. Anyone tried to move from office@hand to ring central or vice versa?? Whom should I contact?

I need to get the incoming number so we can make use of it in our customer vb.net program. Launching a URL works but then everytime there will be a browser window opened, this is not optimal. I have tried a million things and can’t get the command to run. If i can just get it to save the number to a .txt file on the c:\temp that would be great. This is a long shot but I'm going to ask anyway! We are about to start using a Answering Service. That will mean our main number will be simple forwarded to a random local number, and then the agents will route calls to our DIDs directly.One thing that has come up in conversation is the capability for the agents to page people. Is there anyway that they can call the IVR enter in a code or extension and then broadcast a page (rather then being at a desk phone or using the RC mobile app, pressing *84 and broadcasting their message). They will not have access to a desk phone or RC app. (Being able to call the IVR would be the best option). 

How to provision a Mitel 480G/485G with Shoretel firmware (v802/803) to ringcentral These phones are now supported on RC with autoprovision phone per (https://support.ringcentral.com/article/certified-supported-deskphones-ringcentral.html#mitel). However, the instructions given by the RC admin portal wizard and also on https://support.ringcentral.com/article/assisted-provisioning-mitel-deskphones.html will not work if your phones are on older shoretel firmware. I spoke with Mitel SIP phone support and here are the steps that worked. As of last Friday, my agents started receiving an error message when they try to log out of the queue.“Sorry, something went wrong on our end, we weren't able to update the queue call settings. Try again later.” Does anyone know why or have a solution for this? Please help!

Is there a report of SMS activity? I realize there are “SMS Logs” but those must be downloaded and manipulated in a spreadsheet.  I’m looking for a simple report, like the calls report, that will tell me how many SMS each user sent in a time period. We’re integrated with Salesforce, but that count isn’t accurate :(

I want to program a button on our receptionists’ Yealink T54W phones that does the same thing as the “Accept Queue Calls” slider in the RingEX app.  One push will toggle it to the opposite setting (on or off).  Receptionists are using their pc/REX app for their own Extension, not the reception phone extension. We want that control on the hardware. Thanks
