RingEX: Phone, SMS, & Fax

We have multiple users who are experiencing a fast busy signal when trying to dial outgoing calls. We've been experiencing the issue increasing over the past 2 weeks. It doesn't matter if we use a "ported number" or number exclusive to RC. Also doesn't matter if we use mobile, downloaded or online app. We're under a year in our agreement and getting frustrated with tech support calls that go nowhere; wondering if this is an isolated issue for us or if this is happening to other businesses as well. Thanks for any insights.

We have spent 6 months since coming onboard at Ring and have not been able to get SMS set up after explicitly following instructions from the customer support team and having the issue escalated 6x.  Is anyone else having this problem?I am ready to cancel our contract but being told that we need to pay for the remaining 6 months!!!Ring has not fulfilled their end of the bargain supplying services we need as a business.  Has anyone sucessfully resolved this?

We are a new Ring Central customer and have been given Yealing T42S phones that were part of another provider years ago. The factory reset process of holding the OK button is not working in that we keep getting placed back to a username password entry. The same thing happens through the GUI. Any recommendation or are we simply going to have to purchase new phones? Thanks in advance. Brent

we have an employee that whenever they’re on a call, and a second call comes in, the employee stops hearing the first caller until the second call stops ringing (no ringing sound).i have tested that with her for quite some time. she is using the desktop app, and when she gets a call everything is okay, but when she is on an active call and someone calls her, she will stop hearing the person on the other side, until a few seconds after the the second caller hangs up.while being on the call with her, i have called from several different numbers, both RC and external, and every time i saw her RC get an incoming call, she we stop hearing me.

I have a user who is trying to use the RC Mobile app and after entering the number in the keypad and pressing the call button, it switches to her normal phone app to make the call.This is not a new user and it has only started today, but is based overseas to majority of the firm so calls would be at an international rate on her personal mobile plan.Troubleshooting steps taken so far. Restart phone, closed app, signed out of app.A new version of the app has been released in the last few days. This version works for me fine (different phone, different country though).Ringout is not on.She is able to make calls from her desktop app on her laptop so that makes it seem like her account is setup correctly and the service status for her country are also fine.

I cannot begin to articulate my frustrations with the TCR registration process as this has been going on for OVER A YEAR. Instead, I will try to summarize mine and everyone else’s frustrations below!!I have been rejected so many times it is not even funny, and there is an application fee of $22. No one explains that you can edit current brand info so if that gets rejected you automatically think you have to pay another $22 for a new application which I did several times before I realized (with no help from ring) how to edit this myself!The reasons you get rejected are extremely vague and do not give you specifics or examples on what to use instead. You have to call an 888 number based out of India and get people on the phone who BARELY speak english and have ABSOLUTELY NO IDEA what they are doing. Hello everyone,We are new to RC and so far it seems to fit our needs well. We have three users - two are in the office most of the time and the third (myself) is out and about. The other two users have Polycom desk phones, I elected to stick with the softphone. I'm running RingCentral for Mac  Release: 8.3.6.24042 on macOS Sierra. I also make frequent use of the RingCentral for Android app on my Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge.For my needs, I would really like to find the perfect wireless headset. I have pretty severe ADHD and tend to move around a lot while I'm on phone calls (especially conference calls or online meetings.) I have a set of Jabra Rox wireless earbuds that don't seem to really work with RC. My in-depth research (seriously, I've spent DAYS looking at this stuff) shows me that Plantronics is the recommended headset manufacturer of choice - that's great, I love Plantronics headsets. I used a Savi W740 at my previous job and really loved it, but that's not a good solution sin

We had a brand and campaign registered after the chaos of the start of 2023. We met with our RingCentral account manager in September to go over all our opt-out language and they assured us everything looked compliant. At the start of December, without any warning, TCR revoked our campaign and said we needed better language. We've had multiple attempts of adding language to our website and copying what other companies that TCR show as being compliant. But every time we make the suggested changes, and wait 10+ business days after re-submitting our campaign registration, we get another rejection for different reasons. We are a law firm that only uses texting to communicate with our clients, or with people who filled out the form on our website looking to speak to our law firm about their case. We don't send out mass messages, or sell the info. We include the boiler plate "text STOP to Opt-out at anytime" in our initial text messages. Has anyone else had similar struggle

My team send SMS messages that include our company URL. I am trying to reduce the number of characters in our messages to better comply with the character limits of “segments” but I cannot find information on how URLs are counted as segments. 

If Ring Central reads these, they need to note, this type of service is only occurring with RC. They are at fault for this disaster of a situation that is costing all of us hundreds of thousands in lost revenue. I personally have worked on TCR since January of 2024. Other companies I use SMS with were approved within a week. I’ve spoken to dozens of agents and supervisors and everyone just escalates to the next person. Nothing ever changes. No solutions are ever presented. The same errors I receive back were corrected months ago, and even the agents I work with agree that my campaign should be approved. This is supposedly being vetted by a 3rd party that no one can contact? To me, that seems like fraud of the largest level.  I’ve begun exploring legal recourse and with the volume of people this affects, I think there’s a real case to be made. Since the Poly OBi302 is no long in production and that was the main ATA unit for a good price, I have been attempting to manually configure a Poly OBi 300 and a Poly ATA 402, but I cannot figure out where all of the provisioning info gets plugged into the ATA units. I understand all of the RingCentral side and getting the provisioning info, but need to know what fields need what to make it work.If anybody has a cheat sheet or any info as to where the provisioning info needs to be assigned in the Poly units, most likely, they are very similar to each other on the firmware side, if I can get the info on one, I will be able to get the other working.I know they are not supported by RingCentral, but I need to find a solution for people analog phones and this is best course to follow.Thanks, Doug

I have jumped through hoop after hoop and still got rejected for my TCR registry and can not text my technicians. Here is the last thing they failed us for…… DCA2 declined sharing request for campaign CFDYABT. Explanation: Unable to verify, needs compliant and accurate CTA information. Update with specific path for mobile opt-in, HELP instructions, STOP instructions, message frequency disclosure, "message and data rates may apply" disclosure and link to the message program privacy policy, or language referring to the privacy policy. (806)How do I fix this and move on from this nightmare??? We do not even text customers only our own staff so this is all ridiculous. 

Good Morning, @Jessica-Community_Moderator and @Becky-Community_Manager, Hope all is well. We have been trying to complete our TCR registration for over 2 months (since January 9th, 2023) and no one at RingCentral seems to be able to help. We have time and date-stamped screenshots (only attaching the final one here) of the successful submission through the RingCentral portal and email trails showing the multiple times we have also submitted it via email in PDF to different parties at RingCentral -- all of which we can forward. We keep getting transferred to the TCR department and they offer no information. All they do is say that they understand and will escalate it. Now they are asking us to resubmit the form with no guarantee that it will be received this time or how long it will take to process/approve it or if we will meet the deadlines set by RingCentral or if there will be fees involved for re-submission though the delay is through no fault of our own. It is absolutely dishearten

Is there a way to block users from adding an individual to their HUD? Currently agents are able to see who their manager is talking to and the manager would like privacy. Is there a way to block the agents from adding a manager?

I previously had a list of client phone numbers that had opted out when we used the RingCentral phone app. However, after checking the RingCentral app now, those numbers no longer appear. How can I add them to the opt-out list in the current version of the RingCentral app?

This has been asked about in a few questions, but no useful answer has been posted.When connected to my car via Bluetooth, my phone automatically answers calls. How do I stop this happening?The one instance of this being asked blamed the phone/headset, but as it is happening on various phones and Bluetooth devices it would seem to be a feature of the app.

Does the Cell Phone App allow Caller ID when the call is answered at the office?

How can we view text messages for our users. There are some old questions out there but haven't seen anything recent. We would like our Managers to be able to review their staffs interactions with customers for auditing/training purposes.

The first image is the wording they require with the checkbox consent. The problem is I use a contact form from Honeybook. They don’t have an option where I can add a single checkbox, but they have one where I can have the user select one or the other. I labeled them so the customer has to actively choose on or the other.This is why I’m being rejected and it’s the ONLY reason left from the long list of nit-picking wordsmithing they did (including contradictory wording from different phone reviewers) Here’s what they want me to have:  Here’s what I was able to add based on the limitations of my form (which btw… there’s no mechanism to track these responses) This is MADDENING!!! I switched from phone.com bc they didn’t have enough guidance and none of my texts were going in or out to clients, but now I have a service that can’t be used bc I don’t have the right kind of checkbox.Ugh!!!

Hello everyone! I have activated my RingCentral Account and downloaded desktop app on my laptop and when I dial up any number it pops up this notification "Sorry, you can only make calls to your coworkers' extensions. To make external calls, contact your company admin."

I have been trying to port out my number to at & t since December last year. This is been a nightmare. I called and email several times and im still here waiting and getting upset everytime i call to ring central. Everyone in ring central have different information. This is hurting my business. I need help 

I am having this same exact issue!  It’s been MONTHS of submissions and no luck.  SMS is essential for our business and we are currently unable to send SMS.  Can anyone help get this approved??“I have been submitting for TCR registration for 3 months now without success. I have called support multiple times. Each time, they look at what needs to be changed, I change it to comply (again) and get rejected again. The last rejection I had, the support person did not even know how I would get rejected because everything was there and complied. He said he would expedite my case, but that was over 2 weeks ago. Please, does anyone know why this might be happening. PLEASE HELP! I AM DESPERATE!”

Hi,I want to implement the click-to-dial feature of RingCentral with my web application.When I click on the phone number with url like href="tel:{PhoneNumber}" or href="callto:{PhoneNumber}" then it is asking to choose the application for calling but RingCXentral is not appearing as an option.I have tried with the desktop app as well, and the RingCentral Google extension but it is not showing in the calling options.Can you please provide any documentation link or any guide on click to dial feature?

When I’m on a call on RingCentral using my iPhone, holding my phone to my ear (ie not using a headset), my iPhone is supposed to go to black screen. My understanding is that the mechanism for this is the proximity sensor in my iPhone senses when my ear/head is close, and when that happens when I’m on a call, it turns the screen to black so that my ear doesn’t press buttons while I’m on a call. I’m on iOS 12, up-to-date with all updates, and I’ve cleaned the proximity sensor and restarted my phone, but still having the same issue. The issue doesn’t seem to be happening with the Apple phone app.Anyone else having this issue? It’s really frustrating, as my ear ends up doing all kinds of crazy things, including hanging up the call, so I can only use RingCentral with my airpods or on speaker.
