RingEX: Phone, SMS, & Fax

Hi, is there any way that we can reduce / stop the delay in a call when someone speaking and us hearing them and vice versa? as we seem to be constantly speaking over each other?

When we moved from our old phone system to RingCentral, we had many organizations who would call in, and their phone number and business name would show up. I'm not really sure how this worked, but there must have been some kind of directory that could grab the company name. In RingCentral, we have yet to see any company name show up on inbound calls; they all just show as "Unknown."It would see like our Incoming Call Information is set to allow for company names to come through. Perhaps the RingCentral Caller ID database is just very limited.

All of my organization's users (all are in USA) are showing with a gray dot indicating their presence as invisible. When a user clicks on their upper right picture (to adjust settings) - it shows invisible. And when the user manually selects Available it almost immediately switches back to invisible. This is happening within the RC app and on Glip.com website.Version: 19.10.2 (E. 5.0.10)Build: 144 (rev. 9ff98ad)

Since the recent update for the new RC desktop app from 19.8.1 to 19.9.1, the new Outbound Caller ID for Texts preference does not appear to work. It doesn't seem to matter which Outbound Caller ID I select for Texts, the texts always come from the same main company number just like they did before. I have tried multiple contacts and switched between main and direct numbers, I signed out of all apps and signed back in and the ability to send a text from another number still doesn't appear to work. Anyone else having this problem?

I need to activate my sms feature. Please help and TIA.

I just downgraded to Fax 750 with a main fax number and 1 additional fax number. How do I assign an email or emails to each number that will be receiving the incoming faxes for each line?

Scenario: we are a small 4 people company (Adam, Alice, George, Joe) using ring central Canada. What we previously done was setup three extensions: extension 1 for Adam with digital line (as default), extension 2 for support and extension 3 for sale. When extension 1 gets a call, it will forward ring to Adams cell phone. When extension 2 gets a call, it will forward ring to Adams cell phone and forward ring Joes cell phone. When extension 3 gets a call, it will forward ring to Georges cell phone and forward ring Alices cell phone. Each extension gets about 15 calls a month. When employee calls customer back, they use their cell phone plus the ring out feature, so clients see the single company number as caller ID and not employees private number.When we sign up a few years ago, this was the recommended method and has worked okay under the pre-mobile user system. Is there a way to re-configure this, to maintain the pre-mobile user pricing? So that customer still phones the central numbe

My company uses RC for recording sales calls, and it works very well; we are very happy with it. However, we have had issues with the human element in regards to getting the calls downloaded and maintaining everything, since RC's logs only go back 90 days. A rep once mentioned plans to allow for automated back-up/downloading of logs without requiring a person manually do it every few days.Would anyone here be able to confirm if such a thing is on RC's roadmap or estimate when we might expect that feature, if it is planned/feasible?

The volume automatically reduces on some calls answered through the Ring Central app and continues to do so throughout the call. What is the fix?

We are using CylanceProtect anti-virus - Need exclusions list to whitelist the RingCentral Glip scripts

We often get calls where we tell the caller to call another number (not part of our company). We would like to forward the caller to that other number without having to dial it. The idea was to transfer the call to a special extension that has a call handling rule to forward to the 3rd party number.Would this work?Thanks

Every time I fax a document with my signature in it, the recipient receives a blackened out page.

On my iOS phone, I have both the RC Phone app and the RingCentral Collaboration app. I sign into both with the same credentials - but the Collaboration app doesn't have any the Call option at the bottom. I've talked to my account manager and he's shown me his - which show the same as the screen shot in the app store (Message, Call, Meet, Contact, More). Whereas when I login, I get (Message, Meet, Contact, Tasks, Team Events). It's the latest version available in the app store, I've restarted and double checked I am logging into both with the same credentials..... Any ideas?

We have several groups set up within RingCentral.All users have calls forwarded to their mobile phones.Multiple users within these groups report issues with receiving calls.The following problems occur regularly (at least daily)...(1) Call does not ring at all on the forwarded smart phone (however the call does show up as a "missed call" in the RingCentral reporting features).(2) Call rings, but pressing "1" to accept the call does nothing. The call cannot be picked up.(3) Call rings briefly (one or two rings), despite our sequential settings that rotate the active user every 15 seconds.We opened a case for this issue 4 days ago.No one from Ring Central has contacted us, despite the message that we would be contacted in 1 business day.Chat sessions to Ring Central say "an agent is on the way".I've abandoned two (2) chat sessions after what I determine to be excessive wait time.I'm becoming increasingly frustrated with RingCentral, as our business i

I have a RC glitch where my phone will ring, but when I answer the call the "receiving call" screen doesn't go away. I can hear the person calling, but the phone continues to ring, and the call drops after about 30 seconds.

COMPLETELY AGGRAVATED WITH RING CENTRAL. I have logged many hours with different reps just trying to get my phone app to ring!!! IT STILL DOES NOT CONSISTENTLY RING. I have had so many reps try countless work arounds and nothing works. My process is real simple - just make my mobile app ring so that I can answer the phone. That's it and this has yet to happen.

We are a Canadian account that has just signed up and are experiencing issues with the location showing up on the outbound caller ID which is not correct. We have set our custom caller ID to reflect our company name but underneath it shows up the location where our numbers are from which is Victoria and our office is located in Armstrong, 600 km away.We have had numerous customers question when they see Victoria come up on their caller ID and it is important to us that they do not get confused but rather see only the company ID, not location unless we are able to edit it to our local town.THANK YOU for your consideration and if there is anything you can do to change this would be Appreciated!

Missing / Getting Calls while In Lunch Time

We are SharePoint/OneDrive users and when links to .pptx files are pasted into Glip, they paste as the file name in plain text. Other file types work fine (.docx, .xlsx for example) where they paste as a clickable link to the document. Is anyone else running into this?

Since the recent update for the RingCentral desktop app from 19.8.1 to 19.9.1, setting the new Outbound Caller ID for Texts option to your Main Company number does not work. The option is visible and selectable, but will not send SMS from your Main Company number. Texting from the Main Company number works from the RC Phone app and the RC SMS API but does not work from the new RC desktop app, even if you are working from the operator extension.

I have a user with an odd problem: Whenever he receives a missed call notification in his desktop app, he deletes it, and within a minute or two, the same missed call pops up again. This sometimes happens three or four times, for every call he misses. He recently received a new computer, and I thought with the new install of the Desktop App this issue would go away, but it has not. No other users are having this issue. Is this possibly a settings issue? I've checked, and he seems to have the same settings as everyone else. We are on version 19.2.2.35466 of the Desktop App. Thanks in advance for any ideas or suggestions.

I recieved a new personal number for my phone. The old number should still be used for the company. I no longer am recieving them and they are going to my co-workers phone. How do I recieve the calls for the buisness line?
