RingEX: Phone, SMS, & Fax

I work for a company that has 300+ users and we use AS400 which utilizes F6 & F8 to perform functions and these two keys are assigned to ring central - we have not rolled out yet but need to make s global setting as many users, as easy as it is, will have issue over whelming our support desk if depolyed

If I receive a call which I don't want to attend that particular time but want to reject it with sending a sms message to the caller something like "Call you later" or "I am busy now", how can be done in Ringcentral?

If a user add a contact number here in Ringcentral only that user can view the contact info. Is there any way that to make the saved contact info a global access to all other users across the company or any way to add that into company contact list?

We would like to be able to give each call queue a priority level. For example, if a caller has been waiting for 3 minutes and is in call queue #3, we would like this call patched through to one of our agents before a caller in Call Que #1 or #2.I would like to be able to have a feature to where is a caller is in a specific call queue no matter what that call would get prioritized. For example, a caller in call queue 3 would get run through to an agent before a caller in call queue 1

We were forced to migrate to the new RC Desktop App from RingCentral Phone app. It seems like actual phone features are being further and further pushed out by all this Glip stuff. I mean, I can't even organize my contacts into groups or favorites. Instead I have to search every time.

Why can RingCentral mobile not stay connected to Bluetooth devices?  I have used at least a couple of Bluetooth devices on a couple of different phones, and the connectivity to Bluetooth is always an issue.  When I am on calls, it bounces back and forth between the default headset (which is the actual cell phone) and my Bluetooth device.  I will be in the middle of a conversation and suddenly the audio drops from one device and picks up on the other; for example, I may lose the call on my headset and then plug in the Bluetooth to realize that it has transferred over to it.  This is extremely frustrating. 

I'm looking for a feature that Google Voice has. I want to dial out from the desktop app and the phone app execute the "dial out".Steps laid-out:1) I Input the number via Desktop App --> 2) I hit dial --> 3) Phone App "picks up/receives the command" for step 2's dial out request --> 4) Phone app executes dial out request ,I'm looking for a feature that Google Voice has. I'd like to use the desktop app to input the phone number, hit call, and then dial out from my phone (RingCentral phone app).Input Number on Desktop App --> Hit Dial --> Phone App dials out

Are there any plans to make fax custom cover pages a default option for email to fax? Or even through the new main RingCentral app? It's an industry required need to be able to add a confidentiality statement to the cover page and currently this is not possible.

When I receive a call through the mobile app the screen in call screen is black instead of white and does not offer me the 'transfer' or 'more' option. I'm unable to transfer calls to other users. Is there a setting that I can fix for that?

Hello,Whenever I misspell a word, I get the red squiggly line, but when I right-click the word, I get NO options for the appropriate word. I've tried on very simple, often corrected words. I feel like its just broken, or a setting is off...Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

I'm having two major problems one is I'm noticing that the Bluetooth does not connect when I make phone calls from time to time. It's actually happening quite often I'll initiate a phone call in the Bluetooth just simply is not connected and I cannot force it to connect and have to hang up and call again and hope it connects. Secondly while listening to music when I receive a call the music will pause but that when I hang up the music will show as playing but I cannot hear it because the application is still engaged somehow. I have to actually dismiss the application in the multi-task settings and then restart up the application again to make another phone call. And I have to do this constantly in between phone calls which effectively means I cannot listen to music and make calls.

I would like to know if I can create a group for the phone numbers I have. Then when I create the group I would like to text the whole group the same message. Is this possible? Or maybe I can leave a voice message and have that voice message sent to everyone in that group. Can this be done with Ring Central?

RingCentral needs to add a very valuable service to its system. A Corporate Directory that can contain external contacts. Microsoft does this with their email servers because it is a valuable feature for communicating with people outside of your own company and managing that information centrally.For example: Multiple people in my company communicate with someone outside of the company. Microsoft allows you to add an external contact (name, phone, email) so that everyone (or designated people) can benefit from not directly knowing that info but have it appear in an email To, CC, or BCC line by typing their name when creating an email. If that info changes, the admin can update that entry and again, everyone who needs it benefits instantly.RingCentral needs to have a corporate directory that allows for external contacts so that the information can be centrally maintained and then put onto people's phone screens as a button similar to the Presence feature for internal contacts. Does anyone know how to find the LLDP Setting on the phone.

Started last week. Calls to an office group are causing a phone in another office to ring as well. That phone cannot however pick up that call. Very irritating now due to double the number of rings occurring.

Seems simple enough. My boss and I would both like to see all incoming faxes in our desktop apps.Someone has to have solved this problem.

I am the front line of the phones, and we have a setup where it rings on my mobile first (RingCentral App), then my physical phone in the office, then it rolls over to a group. However, every time a call comes in, one of the phones at the office will always ring 4 times before it goes to the front desk. The phone it is ringing on is not listed at all in my call group. My settings are all correct, we cannot figure out why this phone is ringing.

We are requesting the addition of either Call queue-based Caller ID (The Caller ID you are apart of determines the Caller ID) or adding Caller ID to individual system phone numbers on the account.We have a customer with multiple businesses operating out of the same phone system, but the users branch across the 3 different companies. They can easily take the calls for X Y and Z Company, but as it is currently, they cannot call out and show as that company name, unless they change their caller ID on their user account. And even then, it only shows the phone number currently for the queue, not the Company Name associated to that queue.Another way to go about this is to modify Multi-site = Allow users to be apart of multiple sites. I was informed Multisite allows you to call out as those specific locations number, and have caller ID for that location. Currently, a user can only be apart of a single site, and cannot be apart of multiple sites.Either way, this is important, and I know this c

Is there a concept of a "system wide speed dial" - I.e numbers we can program in that can be speed dialed from either a soft button on each phone, or dialing a special code (I.e. dialing "*1" from any phone on the platform would call a number we have defined in the system?)

We would love to have the option to have more than 0-9 key presses then just the typical 10 buttons.

According to this article ((1) Update Call Queue Messages and Notification Settings on the RingCentral Online Account), which by now may have been conveniently changed, it states that the option mark voicemails as read once they've been emailed should be available to select. However, the whole advanced settings menu is missing with no way to enable it.Live Chat tried to tell me it's better for it to go to a specific extension, and create an email distribution group which is great but then the forwarded users personal voicemail will also go the distribution group.All I'm trying to achieve is once a call comes into the call queue group and goes to voicemail, it gets automatically marked as read once the email goes it with the attachment on. Doesn't seem there is a way to do this unless I'm mistaken?

New to this...How do I set up an extension on a handset in a common area/room so that the extension can only dial to other extensions. The extension does not need outside dialing.Thanks,ft.

How can a call queue member access and manage the voice mail messages left on call queue voice mail box? Can a member manage the vm's from the RingCentral windows client?and/or Web Client?As Call Queue manager with full access we can see and manage the vm from the web client but can do from the desktop client?
