RingEX: Phone, SMS, & Fax

Don't know how to send fax to a fax line on an extension.

I have 3 phone numbers under my one account; each phone number is for a different company. There is 1 main line for one company, and then 2 virtual lines for the other 2 companies. I would like for when the calls come in on my ring central app to show which company is being called. In example, when I get a call in to Company A, then Company A's name will appear on my screen; when I get a call coming in from Company B, then Company B's name will appear on my screen, and so on. I have called to ring central, spoken with their Advanced Tech Team who advised they do NOT have this feature for VIRTUAL LINES, and to go on the FEATURE REQUEST page in order to request it be added. I'm sure I'm not the only one with this issue.

What is this is next to a name listed in messages and why doesn't everyone see it?

Hello I am using the RC Phone app version 20.1.0 on my laptop for reception work across the U.S (Another receptionist and I take all calls coming in Nationally).I cannot find a way to back out of a warm transfer to either find another contact for the caller or send to VM. I CAN go back to the caller in general, but the only option I have is to complete the transfer.  Is there an option to back out of a warm transfer and start fresh with the caller?

High GPU Usage - Slow performanceWindows 10 Pro 64bitIntel Core i716gb RAMJust downloaded and installed RC Meetings for the first time, so I am assuming the most current version.My entire system slows to a crawl when I am in ringcentral meeting.  Task manager showing GPU usage at 100% during meeting. Also causing laptop to get hot.Any info would be appreciated.

Ive been using RC for about a month with only a few minor glitches. My biggest gripe is that I cant answer or hang up via my bluetooth headset when connected to my android phone. Anyone have a fix for this?

I've noticed that when not using RC (running in the background idle) it will change the status for users from a green dot to a gray dot. Is there anyway to disable the idle status timeout?

I'm being told by support that this is not a current capability of the system and was advised to come post here and perhaps have this added as a future feature.

My outbound caller ID is showing "UNKNOWN CALLER" to customers. I have it set up to show my company name in the settings on website. Im using the mobile app and have caller ID set to main company number for caller ID.

When calling the main company number, there are cases where people only want to leave a voicemail for a person, and not ring a person's phone first. (Ex. If you want to leave a voice message, but it's not urgent.)Please provide this feature as Ring Central doesn't provide feature parity with on-premises phone systems which all have this functionality.Thanks

We have several SoundStation IP 6000 phones.When we connect them to a 2960-X switch they do not fully work. The phone will power on, receive an IP via dhcp, but not much after that will happen.  Pinging the IP of the phone has almost 100% packet loss.  I've tried several different interfaces on the 2960-X and get the same result.  Verified that I can connect other devices to these ports and they work without issue.  Another strange thing is a few days ago the phones showed up in 'show cdp neighbor' from the switch.  Now, they do not.Now, if I take that phone to 2960 switch connect it, it will power on and work without issue.I've tried just about every setting I can think of on the 2960-X port to try and make this work but I can't get it to work.Has anyone seen a similar issue like this before?  Know of a solution/work around?Summary....Phones will not work when connected to;WS-C2960X-48FPD-L15.2(7)E0ainterface Gi3/0/36 switchport access vlan 403 

The analytics page is confusing. Company Numbers - only gives number of inbound calls to number of answered for inbound calls - this includes weekend and off hour.Performance Reports - gives extension only inbound and outbound call numbers, but does not gives the calls answered for inbound and outbound separately.Quality of Service - has filter to separate inbound and outbound calls and indicate which ones are answered or missed. But does not have an option to export the data.The report I'm looking for is...Inbound calls# with the number of inbound calls answered and missedOutbound calls# with the number of Outbound calls answered and missed And be able to select filter for company number, call group, or extension based.

I've installed the PLT Hub application and disabled auto answer. It is still happening ONLY in the RingCentral application. Regular cell phone calls do not auto answer. I even disabled all of the "sensors" on the 5200 and it sill answers calls. It will even answer a new call and disconnect a current call.Thank you!

When trying to make a call using the desktop app (windows), it only allow for ''Internal calls only'', but i can make calls just fine using my iphone ...been trying to fix this for days now and i have run over many related topics here but nothing seems to be working for me...So how to slove this?ps: i have the role permission to make calls 

problem when contact name is not filled in when adding a contact to ringcentral unified. Sometimes the contact cannot be found and sometimes the contact be found only through scrolling and not through search.If the contact is found through search the contact profile initials is the area code instead of the company name.PLEASE FIX THESE BUGS IMMEDIATELY IT'S REALLY ANNOYING AND IT MESSES UP MY CONTACT LIST THX!

I want to discontinue my BT line and use RingCentral to take incoming and make outgoing calls. Can I use my existing DECT telephones by using an adapter to connect BT plug into RJ socket on my satellite router?

I have multiple users reporting that when they make changes or updates to their fax settings on the portal, receive a pop up error stating "JEDI error". I have opened a ticket with RC 8 months ago and have not had any movement on it. I brought it up again this week and was told it was a PKI (Product Known Issue) which has been their cover for not knowing how to fix something. I am about to migrate 700 users to RC Fax from eFax and this is unacceptable. Has anyone else experienced this and if so what have you done to mitigate it?

i can't see to merge a new call into an ongoing one. It's been giving the following errors. Please help!

It is convenient to have some calls announced when answering them (e.g. queue calls, etc.), but then having to press "1" to answer can be inconvenient (such as when driving, when on a headset with no keypad, etc.). It would be nice to be able to speak "yes" or something similar to be able to confirm the call should be answered in addition to being able to press "1" to answer it.

I was trying to assist a user who originally requested a physical phone and was assigned a direct line, but later found that the company is pretty much using the desktop app instead. I followed the directions to remove from direct line and switch, but now I can't assign the number back to the user.

I am having trouble when I edit the custom fax template. Once I enter the required information to each field accordingly, the recipient phone number (not the recipient fax number) field will not populate and will be blank.
