We have a new employee who will be answering the phone number that's currently assigned to our primary/original Super Admin account. While we trust them, they are not comfortable with having that responsibility (they're concerned about mistakenly making changes). How can we change either the primary Super Admin to another user or swap phone numbers so that the new employee's number is as a Standard User?

I want to customise each user hours as per our requirement.When I go to online admin portal, I can see under phone system general settings there I can configure the company hours and customise each day. But I don't think it will configure each users in the account.I want to customise each user available in each extension their user company hours.Where can I customise on user levels?

After installing the Macintosh softphone app from our software support channel several users report after re-opening they are being asked to additionally install Helper Applications. The desktop App is being installed at Root permissions in /Applications using JAMF as a deployment tool. When the application attempts auto-updates .. prompts for a System account which many of our users do not have. We would prefer this prompt not appear for our users and wonder if there is some way to suppress it. It is not clear what is being installed and it does not seem to effect anything. We would prefer if the Macinstosh DMG could be publish in a non-autoupdating version for use by IT organizations analogous to the PC MSI version. This would better match our IT practices and would create an installer that parallels what is provided for Windows.

when trying to login to the app on the computer or phone I am unable to login. I tried resetting my password, which I was able to reset but still receive the credentials already in use error message.

I want to pay my bill manually but when I am online, i can only change my CC# but there is no option to pay manually. I called several time on Friday and was finally told my account rep was on leave, and someone else would call me back, but no one did. I was also told i could call 24/7 for help, which is also untrue. My service is schedule for interruption on Sunday and today is Saturday and I can find no one to help me pay this bill after several days of trying.

We have a group of staff that rotate on-call duties. In the past they would setup IVR to allow customers to contact on-call in an emergency and that would ring to a cell phone they manually rotated amongst each other. I am trying to assemble a solution that would allow them to use their personal cell phones and easily sign in or out of the "after hours call queue" as needed (i.e. when they are on call they would sign in). Has anyone tackled this and come up with a simple user friendly solution? I am planning to use call queue and then train them to use the "Do not accept call queue calls" option in the user portal. But that is not exactly user friendly. In the old days we had third party apps we would use that plugged into your PBX to allow people to sign in and out of the after hours on-call via a simple web page or by dialing in and following voice prompts.Thanks for brainstorming with me!

We have several people not able to log in to the RingCentral desktop app, or even load the website ringcentral.com for that matter. I don't see these issues on the status.ringcentral.com page, so I'm hoping to get an update here.

When deploying the desktop app it only works for the administrator, is there a "switch" i can use to install for all users? I downloaded the exe. looking for options. I know there is an MSI, but it is listed as "no updates" or "will not check for updates"

I have tried to update my credit card information and it says it is not accepted and gives me a toll free number to call.  I call the number and all I get are prompts and canned messages.  I cannot get through to a real person to solve this problem.

For auto receptionist, I have it set to ext 101, when I am out of town, I need to change it to 102. I tried to test this and even though it says 102, it still rings at 101. HELP! I tried customer service twice but got dropped or disconnected twice.

Recently in the last 3 or 4 months RingCentral decided that we couldn't use a duplicate email when setting up an account. I already have 3 conference rooms that we use the same email for. Now that I am setting up a 4th conference room I am prevented from using the same email address. Why? I wasn't asked to create new email accounts when the change happened so I don't see that duplicate emails are a problem since I have them. I can use the same email for notifications and the system doesn't have a problem. I see a check box to not look for duplicate addresses when setting up an account but it is greyed out. If I can't do it don't put a box on the screen. So what would be the problem with a duplicate address?

We want to be able to allow users access to "User Hours". Unfortunately Role permission to change it is grouped under "User Info" permission which contains other fields we can not allow users to change.We disables "User Info" to prevent users from changing their account email address in our SSO environment. If they do that, they are unable to sign-in via campus SSO and they loose access to their RC account.Some items underneath User Info->Settings and Permissions are appropriate and very useful to end users. For instance "User Hours".Is there another way, or future plans, to allow users access "User Hours" without also allowing them to change the account email?

Hello,I've got the caller id set to show as our company name when we call people. We want them to see the name of our company on their cell phones when we call. However, it either shows up as just the number itself or "unknown." Apparently, after talking to a RingCentral rep, caller id doesn't work at all with cell phones, only landlines. Is that really correct? If that's the case, I'm having trouble understanding why any company that is trying to sell things would use RingCentral as a phone vendor. You can't make sales when your number shows up as "unknown" or just some random number instead of the company name, which clearly relates to exactly what our product is.Am I understanding this correctly? There's really no way to have our company name show up on people's cell phones when we call them?Thank you,

When using the intercom feature it simply beeps or tones once and then connects. Is there a way to control the alert tone? Change it to a more noticeable alert?

When I answer a call using the Desktop RingCentral application can I "copy" (and then paste the phone number into a word document) the current caller's phone number. Right now the I can't even select the caller's ID as seen in the image below.I would just like to copy their number and store it.
