I just found out you can use a call queue number as outbound CALLS caller ID, but can't use it for SMS outbound text caller ID... seems kind of silly

How do you answer and hang up calls from the Plantronics headset? We are new to RC and will be going live with the new phone system soon. I need to be able to answer calls without logging back into my computer if it went to sleep. I have already downloaded the the Plantronics Hub software and updated the firmware on the headset. This didn't help. Please advise. We are running Version: 20.4.10.284 Web, 20.4.11.2558 Windows

We want to set up a 'office closed line' extension where users call in and check if an office will be open or not. If an office is closed to to inclement weather we need a way that staff can check the status of their office.

We are currently experiencing pretty choppy phone calls. This only happens when we have inbound/outbound calls. When we talk to other people on RingCentral everything seems fine. Any ideas on how to fix this?

I would like to request a feature update to meetings that allows the scheduler of the meeting to assign a different host when creating the invite, before the meeting starts.In our company, I schedule the meetings and send out the invites, but I am never the host. The current setup forces me to sign into a meeting, then try to assign another host and quickly log off before our potential client signs in. This creates meeting confusion and looks unprofessional.Can you please fix this??

RC Classic Version: 20.2.30 (E. 7.1.8)I am barely able to hear anyone on my meetings, even with my headphone, computer, and RC volumes all the way up. This had never been an issue until an update that happened yesterday.It appears that the volume slider in RC has tied itself to my computer volume slider. If I slide the RC volume to 100%, it is still quiet, but all of my computer noises are extremely loud (I have to go into the sound mixer and adjust system sounds to be lower).Troubleshooting steps taken:-Trying RC Meetings instead of RC Classic-Uninstalling RC Meetings and trying RC Classic-Uninstalling both RC Meetings and RC Classic, reinstalling just RC Classic-Toggling all audio checkbox options on and off

hello, i'm using the embeddable widget, i have 3 numbers for each state i'm calling. From my CRM when selecting a state with many phone numbers, i would like to override the from number value without having to select from dropdown list each time before I make the call. I am however trying to find a way where I can display contacts inside the embeddable.Use case is:Call comes into the embeddable.Take the phonenumber from the call and do a search in FreshdeskThe search results from that call should then be displayed in the embeddableMy Idea was that this is possible in the cotnact page using the emthod described here:https://github.com/ringcentral/ringcentral-embeddable/blob/master/docs/third-party-service-in-widget.md#show-contacts-from-your-applicationhowever 1. I cannot get the data type to be a postmessage (it is not described anywhere) and 2. Even if i change it in the browser console and see it going all the way through to the postmessage event it will not work. I set up an integration with the event subscrition"/restapi/v1.0/account/~/extension/EXTENSION_ID/presence?detailedTelephonyState=true&sipData=true"It is working well but for each call I receive 3 notifications with the following telephony statuses: Ringing, CallConnected, NoCall.I am only interested in the NoCall status.Is it possible to add a paramter to receive only event with this status? I tried to add "&telephonyStatus=NoCall" on the event filter but I have a 400 status when trying to set it up. After switching to the new RingCentral app, a few of my users have found that Chrome cannot detect the new app as a valid app for zoomrc links. If the old RingCentral Meetings app is installed, it will attempt to open that. If it is not installed and protocol handler settings are not cleared, Chrome will download the old RingCentral Meetings app again. If it is not installed and protocol handler settings are cleared, it will say that no app can be found to open zoomrc links and ask to open the Microsoft Store. How do I make Chrome recognize the new RingCentral app as a valid protocol handler for RingCentral meetings?

Hello fellow RC Meetings users, We teach international students through RC Meetings and often use the Chat function to post hyperlinks for various language learning activities. This function is no longer working for many (all?) of us and we have not been able to find a solution. Hoping someone has a solution.

For auto receptionist, I have it set to ext 101, when I am out of town, I need to change it to 102. I tried to test this and even though it says 102, it still rings at 101. HELP! I tried customer service twice but got dropped or disconnected twice.

I just learned that Snap Camera applies Snapchat filters to video meetings. This would save me about 20-30 minutes a day putting on makeup. Seriously when I have 7 am remote meetings this would be a godsend. Can RC Meetings use it?

My customers are all getting an "All Circuits are Busy" message when they try to call our 800 number. Is there an outage presently? 800-691-3545

We would like to go back to using a live person as our attendant but have the option to turn on auto attendant when that person is not there. Is there a way to do this through the current system?

People call my RingCentral number have been getting this message all day. I am in Vancouver, Canada. I called into RingCentral and they can't fix the problem. Quite frustrating.

At the moment only the main fax sender/recipient will display the company fax number on outgoing fax messages. For every other user that sends a fax, the main phone number will be displayed instead of a fax number.This needs to be updated as soon as possible. It is an essential feature for multiple fax users, especially where a fax response is needed.

Why isn't the time out feature, user friendly? I don't understand why we are all pigeon-holed into the same security circle. Everyone's company operates on different levels/hours/time strategies. I would like to be able to configure how long the time out feature will wait before it kicks on. Or, at least another option (such as shut off) instead of the program being set at your standards. I am at my desk most of the day but switch back and forth on different projects. And then I shut down the computer before leaving. I am required to run call logs while I'm here. When I configure the call log and have to stop to check something else, it is a HUGE inconvenience to come back to my call log to find that I have been bumped out of the system and have to enter all of the parameters, again!! And then find out where in the log that I had left off. Please change this!!

Recently in the last 3 or 4 months RingCentral decided that we couldn't use a duplicate email when setting up an account. I already have 3 conference rooms that we use the same email for. Now that I am setting up a 4th conference room I am prevented from using the same email address. Why? I wasn't asked to create new email accounts when the change happened so I don't see that duplicate emails are a problem since I have them. I can use the same email for notifications and the system doesn't have a problem. I see a check box to not look for duplicate addresses when setting up an account but it is greyed out. If I can't do it don't put a box on the screen. So what would be the problem with a duplicate address?

I want to create a list of phone numbers from my message list using this Python script but am hung up on the 'from' attribute since it is a Python reserved word. Not sure what I am doing wrong. I could copy and paste my chat message history in RC classic, but it's not working in the newest RC app 20.4.10.284. I need to download my chat message history logs for work. How to do it easily?

I need the full names of participants to show on the RingCentral Meeting report. Prior to July 15, 2020 the participant's full name displayed as indicated during the call. After July 15, 2020 the names are truncated on the report. How can I get the full name to show again?
