Everytime I try to use the intercom, system message is that caller is not set up to accept intercom calls.  I have reviewed every setting in the phone and see no where where I can enable this feature on two sets - between boss & office manager

We have been fighting for our TCR SMS registration for over 3 months now. They have denied it several times saying that we need to fix one thing. We fix that one thing and then it’s denied again. This last time, I was told by one representative that I didn’t have enough information about what these messages will be used for. We added the information and resubmitted application. When I followed up, I was told by a separate representative that we had too much information. It has not been over the 20 business days that I was told it would take to be approved, and no one is able to give me an update. I spend over an hour each day on hold just trying to reach someone, only for them to say that they have no update and they are escalating the case. Looking for help and guidance on who to contact and how to get some answers. Thank you in advance. 

We have Live Reports and I was wondering if there was a way (whether Live or in the standard reports) to view Abandon Calls quickly (especially if they are part of a queue) so that they can be called back by an available team member?  Is there a view that can be setup to do this?

I have phones that were needed as hot desks for multiple users. Now I need to use those phones as assigned extensions. When I follow the instructions it tells me to remove the line. However, when I do that there is no option to keep it in inventory the line is just deleted. If I try to switch phones, the phone I switch to becomes an hot desk phone.

Dealing with TCR “Update required” since November. Yesterday agent told me to share my screen so we can fix together mistakes. By the time I needed to press finish button, I received “External tcr api failures". No clue what we changed to trigger that, and agent did not know either. Now I am going back and forth with ring and spectrum and no one know what is going on. Last call said to contact billing but it was impossible to get them on the call. And no idea why billing.  Anyone else had same issue with TCR

Hello,I’m wondering what is the best and fastest way to get RingEX licenses removed from our company account? I want to reduce the quantity of licenses billed to us.Usually, I’m just calling RingCentral support to ask them to do this (even though it’s not always convinient, because sometimes they are expiriencing high volumes of calls), but the last time I called they told me that it can only be done through our account manager and I was told that our manager will reach to me within 24 hours (she didn’t). I was surprised because I did not expect that such a basic action could not be performed without the approval of the account manager. The problem is that I can’t reach out to my account manager since 7/11, so I’m a bit confused now.

I’m working on an integration to embed RingCentral into our application. Part of our application allows for the input of payment information taken from consumers - sensitive information that we do not want to be included in the call recording (based on the fields that are focused). We have ACR turned on for the account I’m working in, and when I attempt to pause a recording, I receive an HTTP 403 with error code TAS-115: ACR mute is not supported for this call.Does ACR prevent a normal user from being able to pause (and unpause) the call recording, and if so, is there a way to allow this? I can’t find anything about this specific error code, or the associated message (or why it’s a 403), so any guidance on this would be appreciated.

Our company needs to downgrade the number of licenses we have in order to reduce cost and eliminate lines, phones, and users that are not needed, but I have been unable to find anything pertaining to an option for license removal. It looks like 10 licenses were purchased originally but we currently don't need that many. The people that set this account up and configured the system are no longer with our company so I am coming into this with very little knowledge of what I'm doing. How do we remove licenses so we can downgrade from 10 to maybe something like 4 or 5?

I am hitting rate limits while making api calls for monitoring calls for individual extensions. What I am doing is authenticating with a super admin cred and subscribing to individual extension telephony session events. I want to supervise parties and not a call so need to hit the active call session api as well. This scenarios will probably raise rate limit errors( and is) while supervising for multiple agents. what is the recommended way to avoid hitting rate limits since retry will delay monitoring calls upto 60s which is not ideal.

Hello, I have an requirement that I want to integrate RingCentral with Salesforce via custom integration and here I'm using the Webhook URL and build a communication between Salesforce and RingCentral but the salesforce doesn't support the autherization token as key in URL itself, So how can I build this integration via webhook.

We want to add an analog adapter to allow us to use the phone for paging across speakers throughout our building. Maybe a GRANDSTREAM HandyTone 801 single-port Analog Telephone Adapter. Has anyone tried that with Yealink phones?

What is the format for authentication for a custom webhook in Zapier?I have registered my app and have the RC Credentials file with the clientId, clientSecret, and Server, but I can’t figure out where these go in Zapier.I have tried putting them in the Basic Auth field as clientId|clientSecret but that did not work. I have also tried adding lines for each in the header, but that does not work.I’ve reached out to both RingCentral Support and Zapier Support, but they have not been able to resolve.If I use the Bearer Authorization provided in https://developers.ringcentral.com/api-reference/Tasks/createTaskNew the Zap works perfectly, but only temporarily.  I assume that is just provided for testing.

Haha… the situation is so bad it’s almost funny. Right now, we have a set main line, and multiple people are logged in to it. We’re a small five person company, and have everyone logged into the same line, so that we can all access the voicemails and messages. If we use extensions, then everyone can only see their own individual extension and not the main voicemails and messages. We do not have a front desk administrator or secretary so we can’t have it where everyone cannot see it. I figured it was possible it was the number of phones connected, but this wasn’t a problem before, only recently became a problem. This is a huge issue because recently, when our clients call in, if we’re already on a call, the incoming call automatically mutes both us and the other person, meaning they can’t hear us and we can’t hear them, and we have to hang up on the incoming call to get back to the first one. In the meantime, the first call sometimes immediately gets disconnected. Since this issue st

As of February 5th, our outbound texting stopped working. We do not use this feature to advertise but to communicate with our customers regarding their service and to respond to questions. Having the ability to text on our store phone number was one of the reasons we chose Spectrum/Ring Central as a provider. Please advise as to the issue. Thank you.

I have an agent that is being “automatically” set to invisible in a PC based app without her knowledge.  is there a setting that will stop that?

When making outgoing calls, it announces that the call is being recorded. It interrupts the first couple of seconds of the call and confuses both the patient and myself. Patients have hung up on me because of the announcement. How do we turn it off? It started out of the blue today. Has only happened one time last year but stopped after a couple of days. Thank you.

Last week I started getting the “Message cannot be sent” message after I sent a text and my texts aren’t going through. Several others in my company are having the same issue. Is this due to this TCR/SMS Registration? Is this something only our Administrator can do so our company to be able to text again through Ring Central? How can I find out if our company has to do this or if we have done this already? This is really an inconvenience to not be able to text our clients or reply to incoming texts anymore.

We are not able to send or receive texts from a variety of phone numbers and we recently redid all of our TCS/SMS as per RingCentrals first service failure.  This started with one line last night and is expanding to multiple numbers.  Is anyone else having this issue?

Hi, Can you guide me how to disable the birthdays of my clients showing under the Video option > Upcoming meetings. It’s along list and actual meetings are pushed down below because of the long list of birthdays of clients. Appreciate it!  

I have 7 physical phones set up in the office. Each phone is assigned to a user. When I transfer a call to user 1 or just try to ring user 1 by their extension from my quick dial, user 1’s phone doesn’t audibly ring. The call goes to user 1 as it should, but the only phone audibly ringing is user 2’s phone. User 2 does not have a call on their phone, but the sound is coming from their phone.This happens any time any of my users try to dial someone’s desk. Whoever is dialed is getting the call but their phone is not audibly ringing. A different user’s phone is ringing.
