Can someone explain how to downgrade the Ringcentral phone app to a previous version.I downloaded the most recent one and its not working properly, its been 1 week already and nothing.Need to figure it out while they release a new version.

I have a Yealink T42S phone and it's currently registered as a Share Line. If someone calls the main number, all the phones that are registered in the Share Line will ring. I believe the Yealink phone can provision multiple SIPs. Is it possible to set up a second extension or a digital line using one of the available buttons on the phone?Just to be clear, the second extension number I have is currently set up as a softphone using RingCentral App. I want 1 button for the main shared line and the second button for a personal extension.

Hello ,I use the Outlook Windows App and i install the Vodafone Ring Central Addin for Outlook .Is there an solution that the Vodafone Ring Central Addin starts automatically on Outlook Start.Means , now when i start Outlook i have to choose the Ring Central App in the Menu Bar every Time i start Outlook .ThanksMichael

The call log on my iphone app is 4 days delayed, voicemails don't show up, and calls don't ring on the app. How can I fix this?

I am an attorney. Typically, I send and receive less than 100 texts per month. I am not using SMS for marketing purposes. Usually, an existing client texts me a question. I text a response. A potential client may text and request representation/legal services. Does RC want a sample of these types of texts in order to authorize my continued use of Ring Central SMS?

All inbound calls are greeted with "thank you for calling (business name), one of our agents will be with you momentarily". How do I change it so that inbound callers only hear a conventional ring tone? We are a 3-person family business rather than some mega corp.

Can we play a hold message to a caller in queue, and allow the caller to dial a digit to transfer out of the queue ?

With a previous phone system we could dial an extension, leave a VM, then add additional extensions as recipients to the VM. Is there a way to do this with RIngCentral?

Clients are contacting us indicating they left messages for various users (we have 30 users and this has been conveyed to me for 2 users). Nothing present in the mobile app, desktop app nor have we received those voicemails. Those two lines are receiving other calls and voicemails that are being delivered without issue. Settings are configured to deliver by email and email address is valid. Any suggestions?

Uploading Personal Contacts via CSV is producing wildly inconsistent results (read that as "frustrating failures...") Might there be some undocumented field specifications? I cannot get more than 10-20 records uploaded at a time, and sometimes even those few records will fail to upload. No error messages. We've utilized all the known guidance on this task -- downloading and re-using the specific file format/headers; ensuring CSV is UTF-8; ensuring no forbidden characters in names; using different file names in consecutive uploads; etc. Just trying to get 350 Personal Contacts uploaded. Any known good solutions out there, please?

When will this be fixed: This is hurting my business.... Verizon, AT&T and Xifinty so far have not been sending text which is detrimental to my ability to perform. PLEASE FIX ASAP as this is not acceptable.

Hi, I'm looking to try to develop a standard practice or policy of what to do when an employee goes on any type of leave (medical, paternity, ect). Typically our business will higher a temp employee to fill in the gap while the employee takes leave. We would like this experience to be as seamless as possible for our customers without having to change phone numbers and call trees. We would also like to make it easy for the employees and make sure temps can get old voicemails, and when the employee returns to transition everything back to them.Is there an easy way to handle these transitions? Do we need spare licenses for these purposes? Would it be best to create the temp employee their own account and forward all calls to the temp employee? Then what about voicemail sharing. Or is it easier just to change the email address on the backend to the temp employee's email and let them log in like that.Just wanted to see what other businesses

Hello,I don't want Ring Central to start up automatically on my Windows 11 PC, so I removed it from the startup app settings. Yet every time I use Ring Central, it seems to put itself back in the startup settings.Normally, I'd chalk this up to a Windows problem, but Ring Central is the only app I have this problem with. How to I keep it out of my startup apps?Thanks

I currently forward all my calls to my cell phone number. when I dont answer a call it goes to my cell phone voicemail. How can I make it go back to my RingCentral voicemail when I deny a call and or when I dont answer a call? Please explain the process of how to set this up. Thank you So much!

We are having problems with the phones also, some of our calls are not coming in but will show on the app they just called.

I have been trying for a month to get help with this and RC Support either acts like they don't understand or doesn't call back and I'm very frustrated so sorry if this comes off super complainy. I need some help!I manage a doctor's office. Our doctors rotate who is "on call" overnight. We are set up so there is a dummy user that receives all after hours calls from the IVR and custom rules set up to forward any calls to the doctor that is designated ON CALL for that specific day. Since 2/10, we no longer see the number of the person that is calling, only that the dummy user has forwarded a call. My docs need to be able to quickly see who is calling (is it the hospital? the lab? a patient?) so if they are in surgery, they can opt to answer something urgent or if it is a known call they are waiting on that has priority over another. I have emailed back and forth with support, done the chat, requested multiple phone calls, sat on eternal hold and nothin

My office has been using Ring Central for years. Whatever the latest update had in it, has totally corrupted the desktop app. It's slow to load, rejects texts, won't let me pick up calls and has crashed my business which survives on the phone. Please investigate this and send a better update.

When we visit the TCR website the first registration option is to get setup with TCR as a CSP. This also requires that we pay a $200 registration fee. Neither registration as a CSP nor the required fee were specified in the RingCentral documentation for this process.We are a freight forwarding company...not a communications service provider. It seems to us that RingCentral should be registering our business and providing a portal for us to register any campaigns we wish to undertake.Would someone kindly shed a bit more light on this process and why RingCentral is passing the cost of registering RingCentral phone numbers to their customers?

We use 3rdy party companies to send text to customers for most of our text messaging. Our employees communicate with the customers through the websites of these companies. We do use RingCentral for texting as well, just not nearly as much. I realize I will have to setup TCR for our use with RingCentral. My question is about these 3rd party companies. Are we responsible for setting them up in TCR as well, or is that something the are responsible for? I'm not sure how to approach this since it's not through RingCentral, but they are sending them on behalf of our company.

SMS is the same thing as a text message, isn't it? We communicate with clients via text messages for their convenience. They usually initiate the text message. We never use text messages for advertising, and we do not ask our clients permission to send text messages, since th client is almost always the one who initiates the exchange via text messages. In my opinion, this whole thing is pointless, but I am willing to do it up to a point. However, I really do not want to bother all my clients with a form to give me permission to respond to their text messages. Do you have any suggestion other than to forego this means of communication?

This won't get picked up, nothing seems to get picked up with RingCentral ideas.An admin should be able to save contacts for all users. Having each user import a CSV is not the best way to do this. I would have to go to over 40 users computers to ensure it's done right. Global contacts IS A MUST.

After turning off HV SMS, the standard SMS sending function in the RingCentral APP is back, but the SMS cannot be delivered. When I sent a test SMS a few seconds later, it said "

as of this morning, i can no longer send sms messages

In call queue, is there a way to set up the Primary and Overflow Members without changing the call handling preference to Rotational of Sequential? If my front line staff are not available to answer the call I would like for it to ring to another group at the same time for any of them to pick up. Trying to prevent our customers from waiting for someone to answer.
