I have been trying for a month to get help with this and RC Support either acts like they don't understand or doesn't call back and I'm very frustrated so sorry if this comes off super complainy. I need some help!I manage a doctor's office. Our doctors rotate who is "on call" overnight. We are set up so there is a dummy user that receives all after hours calls from the IVR and custom rules set up to forward any calls to the doctor that is designated ON CALL for that specific day. Since 2/10, we no longer see the number of the person that is calling, only that the dummy user has forwarded a call. My docs need to be able to quickly see who is calling (is it the hospital? the lab? a patient?) so if they are in surgery, they can opt to answer something urgent or if it is a known call they are waiting on that has priority over another. My office has been using Ring Central for years. Whatever the latest update had in it, has totally corrupted the desktop app. It's slow to load, rejects texts, won't let me pick up calls and has crashed my business which survives on the phone. Please investigate this and send a better update.

When we visit the TCR website the first registration option is to get setup with TCR as a CSP. This also requires that we pay a $200 registration fee. Neither registration as a CSP nor the required fee were specified in the RingCentral documentation for this process.We are a freight forwarding company...not a communications service provider. It seems to us that RingCentral should be registering our business and providing a portal for us to register any campaigns we wish to undertake.Would someone kindly shed a bit more light on this process and why RingCentral is passing the cost of registering RingCentral phone numbers to their customers?

We use 3rdy party companies to send text to customers for most of our text messaging. Our employees communicate with the customers through the websites of these companies. We do use RingCentral for texting as well, just not nearly as much. I realize I will have to setup TCR for our use with RingCentral. My question is about these 3rd party companies. Are we responsible for setting them up in TCR as well, or is that something the are responsible for? I'm not sure how to approach this since it's not through RingCentral, but they are sending them on behalf of our company.

SMS is the same thing as a text message, isn't it? We communicate with clients via text messages for their convenience. They usually initiate the text message. We never use text messages for advertising, and we do not ask our clients permission to send text messages, since th client is almost always the one who initiates the exchange via text messages. In my opinion, this whole thing is pointless, but I am willing to do it up to a point. However, I really do not want to bother all my clients with a form to give me permission to respond to their text messages. Do you have any suggestion other than to forego this means of communication?

This won't get picked up, nothing seems to get picked up with RingCentral ideas.An admin should be able to save contacts for all users. Having each user import a CSV is not the best way to do this. I would have to go to over 40 users computers to ensure it's done right. Global contacts IS A MUST.

After turning off HV SMS, the standard SMS sending function in the RingCentral APP is back, but the SMS cannot be delivered. When I sent a test SMS a few seconds later, it said "

In call queue, is there a way to set up the Primary and Overflow Members without changing the call handling preference to Rotational of Sequential? If my front line staff are not available to answer the call I would like for it to ring to another group at the same time for any of them to pick up. Trying to prevent our customers from waiting for someone to answer.

After adding a monitored extension to my phone and enabling my phone to ring when that extension is dialed, their is only 1 audible ringm then the line extension just flashes. (Actually, just a half of a ring). Can the number of audible rings be increased?

How can my mobile users see the entire company call log through the mobile app?

Due to each department having different hours our "Business Hours" are set to 24 hours. We utilize IVR's to manage call routing for business hours and after hours. I'm in the process of reworking a few of them and was wondering how is it determined what IVR takes precedence over another? Are there certain key aspects of each IVR that dictate this?

We are using the Windows version of the RingCentral app (version 22.4.34.6382 Windows).On the main call log screen, it shows the Caller's Name that we add on the Contact Card, but it'd be nice if we could also see the Company Name field that is on their contact card.

We have several Azure joined devices that are used by multiple staff members (receptionists) and found that RingCentral phone is installed on each individuals user profile " C:Users**User**AppDataLocalProgramsRingCentral.exe" as opposed to a true installation. The problem is that each time a new user sits at one of these pc's we are having to reinstall the RingCentral phone app. This position has quite a bit of turnover and are constantly going through the install process.Is anyone else running into this issue? If so how did you make is less cumbersome?

I have a client who claims to have left multiple voicemails over the last couple of weeks. I see the missed call in my log but no voicemail (not on the phone app, desktop app and I'm not getting an email). This client has a tendency to ramble in messages and I'm wondering if she's hitting the time limit for messages and for some reason it's not saving? Is there any way to fix this?

We are wanting to expand our ring central service to our additional location. But we don't want or need an IVR menu. I just need one main line to go to a call queue and the other main line to go to another call queue but when enabling Multi-Site service is requires you to use a multi-level IVR menu?

I do not want RingCentral to launch on startup of my computer. I've removed the shortcut from my startup folder and it keeps reinstalling itself every couple of days. I want this to stop. I've look all through the setting of RC and looked at settings, apps, startup and it's not in there. So why does it keep doing this? Make it stop! I want to turn it on when I need it, and not be on when I don't need it.

I live in Canada and plan a trip to the USA. Does RingCentral use the cellular function of my cell phone and I will therefore be charged for roaming by my provider?

When a user is out of the office and they turn on their DND, can their calls be sent to another extension? (Only while their extension is on Do Not Disturb.)

Hello allcould you tell me, why scheduled meetings in ringcentral Outlook plugin are not running over Teams? I have windows 11.workaround addin rincentral scheduler for OWA outlook has option "teams Meeting" after activated it ringcentral meeting will be automaticlly carried out in teams. In the past I've used MacOS automator workflows that receive text from the RingCentral/Glip desktop app. I just created a new one today and was surprised that when I went to use it the entire "Services" menu was missing from the RingCentral menu. I didn't even know it was possible for a Mac application to not have that submenu. Would it be possible to have that added back? Or is there a way of showing it that I'm not finding?For context, a recent Google drive desktop update has made sharing paths with teammates much harder, I was trying to set up an automator workflow to streamline that.

I see Zoom has announced support for Apple M1 processors today. With RC's underlying tech being "powered by Zoom", should we expect a native Apple Silicon macOS desktop app soon? I'd love to enroll in beta program for this if there is such a thing. Thanks!

I have a phone in a common area and I need to have it automatically dial the receptionist when the handset is picked up. This is a pretty common feature among phone systems, however I have not been able to figure out how to accomplish this. Can someone point me in the right direction?

HiFirst issue:We have the numbers for 3 businesses coming into our RingCentral account. We need these to route initially to users who will only be using the desktop app - when I add the user under the 'call handling' settings and test it, the call goes straight to voicemail.However, if I set the call handling to route the call to a mobile phone number, rather than a RingCentral extension, it routes the call correctly.To work around this, I did manage to get the call to route correctly to RingCentral extensions, by creating a Call Queue - however when the system routes a call via the Call Queue, it does not manage the incoming call announcement correctly, which brings me to my second issue!Second issue:As we have calls for 3 businesses being routed to the same individuals, they need to know which business the caller is trying to reach so they answer the call correctly. I am currently a Super Admin, and am taking over the role of a former employee who is also a Super Admin. How can we merge the two accounts, but keep my direct dial with their extension. I am physically moving offices as well.The position I am vacating does NOT need to be a Super Admin.
