If I record a call in the UI, am I able to transcribe that recorded call afterwards?  In other words, if I don’t click transcription during the call, could RC’s AI transcribe the recorded call afterwards?  Thanks

Lets discuss RingCentral’s ongoing SCAM to STEAL as much many as they can from its RingEx Customers.First, a couple of Facts… Voicemails are capped at 3 minutes before disconnection...per RingCentral   RingCentral has a setting in Admin to turn off Robocalls to Toll Free NumbersTaking the above two facts into account… Can any one explain how our Toll Free Numbers can be bombarded with RoboCalls at all hours when that setting is activated?Can anyone explain how the above calls can be leaving 10-15 minute Voicemails when the limit is supposed to be 3 minutes?  These extra long Voicemails are ALWAYS blank.  Again, only RingCentral benefits from this activity as it allows them to bill us more.Conclusion….  RingCentral is deliberately fabricating the calls and the voicemails in order to steal as much money as possible from its Customers.  They are the only party that benefits from such activit

When forwarding an outside call to a specific extension we like to let the receiver know who's calling prior to transfer so they can decide to answer the call or let it go to voicemail. What we always did was hit transfer the extension and hang-up. It now put the call on hold???? any suggestions????

New to using RingCentral. I am trying to do the following:Caller calls in, gets the voice greeting on our line, after the message plays it rings the phones associated with that store. This works. What we are trying to do is when caller calls in, the greeting starts playing, but if they want, they can press 0 to skip the rest of the message and then the phones will ring with the caller.  We have several stores (each with their own phone device and phone number tied to it, as well as an extension that we setup for each user/store) that we want this to work for. I have looked but the only option I see would be making an IVR for each store, then having to reassign the phone number for each store to the correct IVR (store A to IVR A). Trying to get SMS setup. We only use it if a customer sends us a message first. The usual” do you sell this” or “did my stuff ship” type of messages. We have tried registering 5 times now and it always fails.EIN/TaxID doesn’t match is the error we get. We setup our account and phone number over 10 years ago and I can not find anywhere in our profile or billing what info is not matching up since I don’t know what Ring Central is trying to match my registration up to. The address on my monthly billing statement is correct.The chatbot “escalated” me to email support, but the email I got is just a screen shot of our latest failure. I’ve tried phone support, but have gotten disconnected everytime before getting a human. Anyone have any advice on what/where I need to find out what doesn’t match on their end? 

Hello,We have a voip phone with an extension who belonged to a former employee. A current employee moved to that desk and I am trying to reassign that phone/extension to that current employee. I changed their display name but when I try to change the email to send the current employee the invite to set up their account I get the duplicate email association. How can i assign the extension to that user?

How do I set up for faxes to automatically forward to one or more emails?

My team is constantly having issues with the agent leg not connecting and auto refusing calls.  Is there a way to correct this? Please help !  Its almost a daily issue. 

Hi all,I’ve been running into persistent issues with the RingCentral Android app and wondering if others are experiencing the same — or have found a fix.❗ The Errors I'm Seeing: Every time I open the Phone tab in the app, I get this popup: "Phone calls only" Sorry, we are having a temporary server issue. You can continue to make and receive phone calls, but cannot use other features. Occasionally, I also get: "Cannot recover" Sorry, we're having trouble recovering your app. ✅ What Works: I can make and receive calls Voicemail and fax features work fine 🛠️ What I've Tried: Reinstalled the app Cleared storage/cache Granted all app

New User, New account, Not yet set up.  What new # should I assign my cell phone I just bought?  Do I use “my calls #,” “Company calls #,” or another number I choose? 

I hope I can explain this in a way that makes sense:We have a user who manages and makes calls for multiple offices. Is there a way to grant this 1 user access to several other phone numbers/accounts so that if someone in Office A is out, their calls automatically ring thru to our User and they can manage them? And if 5 people are out in 5 different offices, can their calls all can also be answered by our User?We can’t create call queues for all of this and we know we can add users to accounts, but I am not sure how the call routing is handled in that situation.These may be in cases where it’s only for an hour or multiple days, so to go in and set up forwarding each time, and to do this for multiple people would be too much to manage for one person (me).

We use Yealink T43U phones in our environment. When they provision through RingCentral the upper three buttons display the users name, and I’d like them to display the user's extension number. RingCentral can apply a custom config to the phones through professional services, but I’d need to do this everytime I added a new phone. Is there another way to accomplish this ?  Without changing the users name to ext in profile. 

We are about to switch computers where our phones are connected. Our goal is to transfer the information to a different computer so our landline will work again (every time we shut off our desktop the landline shuts off and we have no dial tone). The calls are being forwarded to another cellphone so we can still accept calls but we can no longer call out on our landline (231-767-1181). Please advise us how to transfer to another computer so our landline turns back on. We have already downloaded the software onto another computer and logged into the portal on the software, but it did not help the issue. As soon as we shut down the old desktop the landline went down again. How do I send a fax from my desktop

It's very very tacky and annoying RC still insists on uploading it's horrendous logo to our phones that we own. I've been a customer for a few years, this was promised to be fixed, I've seen that the professional services group can initiate this with my account manager, who honestly doesn't seem to care about me asking about this issue or telling me what can't be done..It's one section of a provisioning file. I could easily override it, but I don't feel the need to have to add fancy tricks for something that should be enabled by default. Manual provisioning makes the phones utterly useless, especially since these are cisco 525g2....The service works flawlessly or I'd be changing but this really urks me we are forced to advertise for your service when we are already paying a good amount of money and we own the devices.

We ony use it for internal company communication, but got registered anyway and were able to send SMS until July 9th.  Since then we have the block that states we can’t send, only receive.  All efforts to get it resolved have been met with silence, meaning that RC says it is in the hands of TCR and there is no way to get any update. However, we do not know the reason it stopped, what to do, or if there is something we have to submit to them to get it resolved. Our tech people say that they cannot get anywhere, so I thought of trying this forum to find avenues that could help. Right now company wide texting is shut down, which is a significant problem.

Not sure what happened, but my last post was removed. Same question. Is there a guide on how to offboard RC from routing our calls through their system. The onboard is pretty much automated, so not entirely sure what was done by RC to our env. We are trying to exempt some users from having to use RC and just use teams calling and sms instead, and eventually looking at canceling service and moving back to teams calling - a much more attractive option given the pricing and pay-as-you-go billing. As ofr reasons why, the sms setup was like trying to squeeze water from a stone to get RC support to assist with. This was the defining feature that made us migrate to RC in the first place, and we are more than a year into it, and finally got the TCR stuff approved. The whole experience has very much soured the relationship. Is there a guide on the changes that were made inside a tenant, and how to reverse, or at least, exempt some users? 

Looking into replacing RC and moving back to Teams calling. I won’t go into details as to why, but we haven’t been super satisfied with the product and support. Now that MS offers pay-as-you-go SMS, it’s become a much better option for us. There doesn’t seem to be any information or KBs on how to properly offboard Ringcentrals integration for direct calling within teams. I would love some information pertaining to this. 

We just switched to RingCentral and are trying to utilize the intercom system with the Yealink T48s and Expansion docks. We have gotten the intercom to work by pressing Intercom on the Yealink T48 then entering the Extension Number we wish to use. However when we add someone to the expansion hotkey and setting it up with Intercom to a specific user it just rings the user.How do we get this to work on the Yealink T48s with Expansions?

Unable to make/receive calls on a specific computer in both RC desktop app and browser. The dial button is greyed out with a message saying there is something wrong with RingCentral service. But when I sign in on another computer, everything works fine. Please assist.

When checked the RingCentral Analytics can see the Client to server Ip starting with 205.xx.xx.xx but in the RingCentral article stating advertised IP supernets 205 ip is not in the list. So wanted to understand the exact RC call Routing. IF anyone can help then that would be great.

We have hundreds of phones and users and are in a transition to go with RC from our old on prem Mitel equipment.. Our front desks currently use a generic user for their extension i.e. Admit 1, 2 ,3 etc. occasionally someone is out sick and a floating personnel is put in their place and currently has no issue being on the generic account using “front desk 1”’s extension and mitel app.going forward we need to phase out the generic account for accountability reasons. is there a RC feature or set up that allows a temp person to sit down at a shared desk and use the “front desk 1” extension but with their own personal account log in on a connected app so we can keep track of who is doing what? (beyond manually swapping user extensions every time they move someone around to cover). the important factor is the extension number stays the same since it’s in a directory.

I have 4 x accounts all linked. In the RingCentral Desktop app under contacts the user sees all users as contacts from all 4 accounts. Is there any way to restrict it to just see the users from the account that the user belongs to?
