After April 1st when the new regulations go into effect for texting, can we send a text to clients to get their consent to text. Or can we only get consent through email, a form to fill out etc?

I registered for TCR and am at the point where it's asking to create a campaign. Is there an option to send out mass texting with the campaigns? Ex. I want to send 5,000 texts at once to my database about a promo. I didn't think RingCentral had this optin but am not sure now. Please advise thanks!

Is there a way to tell what number an incoming call dialed?For example, if some one dials our -8155 number but its set to forward to two other numbers simultaneously, is there a way to tell that the incoming call was dialed to -8155 and not the other two?

Good morning, Looking to forward one of my numbers to an external number on a permanent basis that has an extension. Is there a way to create a pause/break after the number has been dialed to accommodate this?TIAAdam

Regarding getting my customers opted to the text registry. I have 1000 customers and I don't want to email or text each customer one at a time to get approval. How can send them all messages and upload the responses all at the same time. Also who and where do I upload the approvals. What does the accepted approval look like. Can it be email or a text thread asking the opt in quesiton then having the answer? How and where do we upload this opt in form to. Do we do it directly to the TCR or though ring central.?

We the registered the TCR though ring central. 1) Can and should we also register with the website www.campaignregistry.com 2) Is there like a customer portal with the TCR to show you if there any any complaints or fines on your account. What happens in the future if there are fines or issues with your compliancy where do we handle these matter. Though ring central or directly on TCR websites?

We are using our texting to communicate with our clients about the status of their tax return. Since they are communiation texts we send. When we send a text to a client after April 1st. Can we imply that we have their consent because we have texted them in the past? Do we only need to get consent from new clients we have never texted?

First off, this has been the most unprofessional and disappoiinting service I have ever experienced from a compsany of this size.We got 2 of our 3 numbers finally working with text after a month of trying, but our main number is still in "provisioning" status. Who do I call, text, email about this? I have tried every channel available and not a single person was of any use.

We just need a way to remind our customers of their appointments.

Once numbers have been linked to a campaign and you click Done can the list of numbers be modified?

I do not understand why we need to ask for our customer permission to text them, then ask the next time they text us permission to continue to text them. Why can't we just ask in the first opt in the question if its ok if we continue to text them per scheduling service invites things related to our company services

We are unable to send text messages from any new number that is added to our account. We have reached out to support several times and have also filled out the TCR form more than once. It has been over 30 days and we have not heard back from anyone. I have also tried reaching out to our account rep and received no answer. Has anyone been able to get this resolved on their account? We use this feature daily for our business and none of our new employees can text our customers.

Is it necessary to create a campaign for employees to text customers from their personal cell numbers that are not RingCentral numbers & they are not registered to our business? We have some parts employees who text customers to let them know that a part has arrived.

We currently only use SMS to remind current employees that their timecards are due or if there are questions regarding their timecards. We do not currently have an "opt-in" procedure.1. Do current employees who are already texting us need to opt-in?2. Are we able to send them a text message asking if they would like to receive timesheet reminders or not and count this as their opt-in or out response?

Can someone explain how to downgrade the Ringcentral phone app to a previous version.I downloaded the most recent one and its not working properly, its been 1 week already and nothing.Need to figure it out while they release a new version.

I am reading through the TCR requirements for SMS and see that without registration, SMS will be disabled. Honestly, I am not doing ANY outbound SMS with RC, as I only have it on to catch texts from customers who text the wrong number (having it sent to email and I respond with my regular cell text). So my feeling is to skip the TCR and let the SMS be disabled. But I would like to know what outside folks would see if they try to text my RC number AFTER SMS is disabled. Do they get the "this is a landline" notice, or do they just get nothing and not know that I didn't see it? ANy help would be appreciated. Thank you!

My company is small, and we primarily use Glips for messaging; we never use SMS text. Do we still need to create a campaign? According to what I read, if we register/create a campaign, but don't use text periodically, we could (and probably) will be fined. Seems silly.

I have created Brand (Brand ID BCJXZQ1). Its says it registered within couple of minutes. It is almost 24hrs. How much time it will take to register.

We submitted our W9 with a ring central transaction coordinator and they advised the brand was unable to be verified due to the W-9. At this point we have been trying to comply with the TCR since January and have had no luck or someone willing to talk and advise why we are failing. Is there someone we can get to better explain why a W-9 provided to Ring Central would be unable to be verified? We are at a severe risk of losing texting, something that is a direct result of a broken system rather than us as a customer not providing everything required.

Having read the notices that we had until 3/31 to register, I began the registration process 2 weeks ago. Once I started the process, we intermittently had issues with newly provisioned numbers being unable to use SMS. Once my registration was complete but before my campaigns could be set up and accepted, SMS across our entire company became intermittent (per user not per message). Now that our first campaign is registered and I have added 40+ numbers to it, not one single number from our account can send SMS. After contacting support, we have been informed that it may take 3 business days for the campaign to be completely registered with the numbers. In the meantime, we are completely unable to send messages. Seems like RingCentral could stick to the 3/31 date and not start turning off SMS in the interim since we have no control over how fast this happens. Or at least warn that you will lose all ability to send messages while the process is pending.

I originally submitted the PDF version of the TCR Registration form on 1/26, and the form has been stuck in pre-approval since. I re-sumbitted through the admin portal on 3/05, and my Brand was approved, but now my Campaign is stuck in Pending. RingCentral support says I need to wait and additional 20-30 business days again? Completely over the edge frustrated that the only answer that is available is waiting. Is there anyone who is in a similar situation? I will be waiting for FOUR months to get texting set up, which was not advertised when I signed up for the service back in January.

Help, I created a support ticket, but the TCR registration menu is not showing up. Anyone else have this issue? Logged in as the admin.

As others have noted, we only communicate via SMS with clients of our business. The registration from doesn't allow for basic SMS texting. But yet we are to provide opt-in and opt-out words and sample communications. How can you say you will follow the requirements when the requirements to match the business practice?
