One of my colleagues left the company and didn't delete a recurring meeting he had organized. Even though I've declined all instances of the meeting in Google Calendar,it's still appearing in Ring Central Video meetings.I've tried disconnecting my Ring Central account from my Google Calendar and then re-connecting it, but the problem persists. I don't see any way to remove meetings from Ring Central; it appears to show all the meetings in my calendar, but it also includes this meeting which I've declined.I'm stumped

Hello, I downloaded the latest RingCentral app for Win10 and am experiencing an odd issue.This software has to re-install itself every time I click to open it. After the installation, I can use it perfectly. But then I shut down my PC overnight and the next day, It has to re-install itself again to be used. Does this software no longer install permanently into windows like any other standard software package? This is odd behavior. It is frustrating because of how long it takes to re-install every time I turn on the PC. I havent had anything give me this kind of issue since the Windows XP days.Thank you

hello, i'm working with Observe.ai, they are helping us analyze recorded calls. we're required to provide them with call recordings and metadata related to each call. 1 of their requirements is that we have to provide a unique call ID for each recorded call. is there a way to do this?i do see that i'm able to download all recorded calls for a date range and also view the call log. However, the call log does not indicate which record corresponds to the mp3 file of the recorded call. please help

Is there any way to get incoming calls to show Salesforce contact information within the RC App itself?

I got an email today informing me that due to "industry changes" my SMS have been categories as A2P and "to continue sending SMS messages, you will need to transition to one of our A2P compliant solutions, such as toll-free SMS or High Volume SMS." This came as a surprise to me as 90% of my business is done via text messages (clients sending images for review, quotes, updates) and the ability to send SMS is key. Is anyone else dealing with this issue now and what options have you considered?

I'm seeing a discrepancy between the number of inbound calls in the performance report and what is in the call log. For example, in looking at a particular day, the call log shows 69 inbound calls whereas the performance report is 58. There is a 8-15 call discrepancy for each day that I've looked at.I've looked at the call logs to see if I can isolate what calls aren't being included, but the performance report for the queue don't provide enough detail to figure out which calls are being filtered out.

Is there a way to map from RC to SFDC, the number that someone dialed to reach our RC system? We have a few different numbers we have for marketing purposes, and would like to track in Salesforce which specific numbers our inbound contacts are dialing to reach us.We seem to have a field for it in SF, but no way of mapping that data from RC.. has anyone else wanted/been able to accomplish this?

Hi All,Due to a malfunctioning synchronization, my RingCentral account now has about 8,000 contacts consisting mostly of duplicated entries. I am unable to figure out how to reset the contacts. I checked with RingCentral support and they did not have a way to delete all contacts. It is not possible for me to do this one at a time. Even a screen macro would not work because RingCentral does not show the delete button in the same place for every contact.Does anyone have a script I can use to delete all contacts so I can start over?Thank you in advance.

I'd like to port our current xfintity # to ringcentral. We are just 1 user but when asked to map the number it shows I have 2 ringcentral numbers. The main number and an ext number with my name as the user. I would assume I would map it to the main number? I dont need the second ext number. Did I set something up wrong and how do I get rid of it?

Multiple tasks across multiple teams in our organization are losing messages in the conversations of task. We are also losing the updates that crossposted into the corresponding posts in the appropriate teams.Are there expiration periods on the posts in a task's conversation or is there a known bug where these disappear? We had been using the conversation panel or tasks extensively so it would be a big issue to have to switch to attachments or some other workaround.Example here. The red line represents an area where originally the task had a posted update, but the text is now missing both from this area AND from the team chat.Thank you,

I need to know when a call coming to my cell is from ring central/my business. How do I set it up so it shows that it is a business call being forwarded?

Primarily in our office, all users are on desk phones. However a few employees are in and out of the office enough, that they have both a desk phone and a softphone (via the app on their smart phone). That way they can answer on either device, the desk phone when they are in the office and the app when they are out of the office.While this is very convenient it does lead to some frustrations and usability issues. If a call is picked up on the softphone, it shows up as a missed call on the desk phone and visa versa. Also, if an employee is on a call on the softphone, the desk phone doesn't show up as busy and calls still come through on it.Is there any way to link or sync the softphone to the desk phone? Ideally, we want a call to only show up as missed if the employee doesnt pick it up on either device. Also, if an employee is on a call on either device they should be considered busy on all devices. Anyone else run into this issue and know if there is any way to ad

I have a user with multiple desks and that will be performing different functions at each desk. At one desk he will be included in a few different call queues, at another he will only be included in one.Is it possible for me to set him up with multiple phones and accomplish this behavior while only having one internal extension for everyone to call?

We have situations where someone needs to find someone in a specific department or based on their job title. In the Ring Central desktop app, when you go to Contacts --> All Contacts, you're only able to search and filter by name. We have loaded locations, job titles and department information into the system but it isn't something that we can use to help find people in the organization. It would be great if that feature could be added in to make it easier to find people without knowing their names.

My company using Ring Central messaging all day long, which is great, however it would be really nice if folx could flag a message they're posting in Glip to be urgent/important. Ideally, that would make the icon in the tray flash or pop-up and trigger an automatic email if the message isn't responded to within a minute or so. I know this is a feature you can do with Teams and we're struggling to make the case for using RC instead of teams. This would go a long way for our users adopting the tool.

My client uses RC as my company does. We make on-hold programs, MOH. My client says only the first 30 seconds of the message is being heard. a) can that be true? and b) how do I change that? I'd like to know the limit, preferably to be whatever the MOH program length happens to be.

Hi all, I have attempted to discuss this with RingCentral support but haven't gotten very far. I have a PolyCom SoundStation IP 6000 that seems to be stuck in a boot loop due to the RC software on the phone. I have read from another post that the firmware version 4.0.9.1191 should resolve this, but my phone is already running that version. This phone has been working perfectly fine for quite some time but has now had this issue for a little over a month. Issue:1) Phone system boots and loads up the main screen2) After 20-40 seconds the phone will shutdown and reboot and go through the loading process again3) This continues for as long as the phone is powered onI have heard this is due to phones being purchased from a third party and not directly through RC. With phones being 1/2 the cost or better elsewhere, is this RC's way of forcing customers to buy through them?

Has anyone else experienced issues with delayed audio or choppy calls when a call has been transferred to your extension? We have had this issue with RC since the very beginning. We have been with them about a year now. I have reached out to support many times regarding this, but typically get told there is nothing they can do or that it is being escalated. I have never heard back from the escalation team. If you have experienced this issue, can you please let me know if there is anything that you have done to help with this situation? We have tried switching out handsets, uninstalling and reinstalling apps, and even had our internet company come out to check our lines. We have well over the recommended internet speed needed to support VoIP. Nothing has seemed to help.

Can a limited extension be a member of a call queue?My specific situation involves a medical practice with two physical desktop phones at the front desk. There can be any of 4 people sitting there. All four people have RC extensions assigned to them by name, so that they can use messaging and the mobile phone app. If the two physical desktop phones are assigned to limited extensions (because those are cheaper), can those limited extensions be members of the "Front Desk" call queue? There can be several personnel changes throughout the day so I don't want to be constantly swapping desk phones to different users.Thanks,

What options to I have for Connecting Ringcentral to on-prem Call manager (IP PBX)?can we run both solutions at the same time and move to the cloud completely by time. for example is that an option to have a direct sip trunk between ringcentral and my PBX or maybe doing this using Local GW same as what Microsoft teams offer?
