Hi Guys,I've successfully got inbound call call connected events coming through to my WebHook when a call is picked up by an extension which is fantastic.I also need to know though what the number is that the caller actually dialled initially (not the extension but the actual original calling number) ... how do I find that out? It isn't in the json blob that the WebHook receives.Thanks for the help

Fax API is very slow and appears to miss random pages. A 5 page document may be received in random order and over the course of 3 hours.

For some reason, when I try to add an embedded video inside a Note in Glip, after saving it simply disappears. As if I never put it in at all. I'm even using the video embed icon in the toolbar of the text editor of the Note. Once I insert it, I can see it show up. But once I save the note, close it, then re-open it, the video disappears and nobody else in the company can see it either.What am I doing wrong (which I know is nothing)? What is the problem?

Hi all,I'm getting login issues when using Ringcentral phone app and my role type is "Super admin". I cross checked every thing , but I don't know where I done the mistake. And I'm unable to make a calls with chrome extension. It shows that my email is not registered and my account has no permissions to access the service. Below I attached the screenshots of my issues. If anybody knows about my issues, kindly let me know the solution.

Admins should know how long an agent has been on a live call for. Or how long they have been waiting for a call for.

RingCentral Salesforce Plugin 6.0 is flipping tags for outbound and inbound calls. Outbound calls are titled inbound and inbound calls are titled outbound.Our Salesforce users are reporting that the call titles for logged calls via the RingCentral plugin for Salesforce is flipping the titles for inbound and outbound calls. This is causing some confusion for our sales manager because we score on how many outbound calls sales reps make. Is anyone aware of this bug. Running newest 6.0 version of plugin. Appears to have started happening with we upgraded to 6.0.

While investigating significant data loss that recently occurred within our RingCentral business account (e.g., the loss of 3+ years of SMS correspondence with our customers per Case Number 08276193), we've just learned from RingCentral technical support staff that RingCentral's development team, needing to "improve" SMS system performance, recently imposed hard limits without providing prior specific notice to all RingCentral customers and without providing recourse before enforcing these new data caps. In the course of rolling out this service "improvement", it appears that we (among many other RingCentral customers) have experienced significant SMS data loss.While this change was made to improve on-going service (which we, of course, should/would appreciate had it not caused grievous harm), RingCentral's failure to give notice and provide recourse before enforcing its new data caps is a serious dereliction of duty in safe-guarding its customer data. Hi,My account is in the UK.I am a small one man business and have been using ring central for a few years now. I have 3 different numbers coming into the system all set up the same, coming through to either my yealink on my desk or through to my mobile (cell) using the app.What I am looking to do is set my system up so that during the day, say from 09.00 to 19.00, the phones will ring and if nobody answers then it goes to answer machine, like it does already. After this time, I dont want the phones to ring and go directly to the same answer machine message. Basically out of hours I just want the answer machine to kick in without it waking us up in the house, where I have my office.Im sure this can be done but I just cant find an idiots guide to it without me making a complete mess.If anybody can help it would be really appreciated.ThanksNick

Hi, I am trying to send fax using curl. I can send it via my localhost. Customer is requesting for an integration feature of truckstop.com and the RingCentral Mobile application to make outbound calls. It's currently working properly using the desktop app. but customer wants to bypass the desktop app and to use only the mobile app. to do the outbound calls.

Since I later want to graduate this to looking at multiple extensions in the company I am looking at this event filter for my subscription:/restapi/v1.0/account/~/extension/[extension_id]/presencebut since I am wanting to pull in detailed information about each individual call (specifically the session id) I am needing to scribe to the event with this filter:/restapi/v1.0/account/~/extension/[extension_id]/presence?detailedTelephonyState=trueI can get the subscription to work when I don't filter to get the detailed information, but when I provide the detailedTelephonyState=true I get an error when receiving the notification. how Many people purchased X number of pages to fax only to find your not billed for pages but for minutes. As I found if a document takes 10 minutes to fax for whatever reason you are chargers 10 pages even though you only really sent one page. Also I was charged for faxes that went to a fax that did not answer this week I was billed for for over 1300 pages. The kicker is 80% of what I was billed was sent to a number that did not answer and I only attempted send a total of 64 pages. Also, when I talked to customer support I was told they were valid charges because they were sent. My question, (that no one has been able to answer) is how were they sent to a fax that did not answer! In addition, the mobile application allows you to attach more than whats able to be sent. Tech support and I found this is why there were no answers because the ring central app. Was too full. We are aware of the request limit which is 50req/min in this situation. We need to find a way to fetch the statuses without exceeding the request limit.For instance: We have a grid that contains a list of users and need to monitor at least one hundred users at once.Even if we can set a pagination logic in the grid, it is very easy to exceed the request limit with the current setup. I'm based in the UK and have just got a load of Polycom VVX600 phones to replace the desktop app, mainly as they are supported on RingCentral and our Bluetooth headphone work seamlessly with them.The problem I have, is that none work guide the assisted provision steps. I have to use the manual process.I have upgraded one phone to the very latest Polycom Firmware and still no joy.Does the assisted process provide additional features/integration with the RingCentral server, that you do not get when manually provisioning them?

Disabe email uniqueness requirement please. I'm at a nonprofit that has people come and go fairly regularly. So in between them we need to return the their extensions to a generic email address. Like when the extension was created. However ringcetnral doesn't allow that once the extension has been configured. Please add this new feature! I do not want to have to keep extensions attached to nonexistent employees and don't have that enough emails use for this purpose.

I have a program that I'm trying to build that is intended to send out SMS messages. This program has multiple users, and they need to send out things like reminders to various clients. Thus the program needs to make connections to the RingCentral API to send out these SMS/MMS messages.I'm working with a co-worker, who had some credentials he had been using in earlier tests. We got things working from his machine, but then I tried to do some testing from my machine. I received errors using the same process that he had used. This program executes from the context of the machine that it is running on - not from a centralized server context - so when I'm running it, the requests are being sent from my machine, vs. when my coworker runs things they are sent from his machine.The error is "PBX not registered". When my coworker messes up his credentials, he gets a different error, so it doesn't seem to be an issue with the UN/PW combination.Does RingCentral only allo

We have 5 users, we have our main number forwarded to each person's extension simultaneously for all to answer at their desks during the day. If no one answers we would like that to be forwarded directly to the main phone voicemail... not each person's individual forwarding list. How do we separate where the main number forwards from where the individual extension calls get forwarded?

Hi, I received two faxes. Logged into my RingCentral account to view the fax. When I click on the icon to open the fax, it does not open as a .PDF. I get an error message because it is trying to open as as a .TIF. RingCentral no longer allows me to get customer service over the phone (they have a number, but when you go through IVR prompts, it eventually tells you that you need to go online to get Chat support and that it is it, it just dead ends). So I went on Chat. After more than 1 hour later and rep still had not idea how to solve the problem (actually very little progress had been made as there was just delay after delay in the reps response). They told me this had to go to level 2 and that they would get back to me within 24 to 48 hours. I cant wait that long. A supervisor did call me back after a while, but he told me he could not help me. He also told me that they would send to level 2. I see an initial notification that someone sent a message, but if I miss that initial pop up I have no way of knowing that I received a chat message. Email notifications are not preferred or I would just use email for my communication. It would be nice if there was some kind of notification in the task bar indicating a message awaits.
