At my old company, we had a feature where we could directly pick up someone's line by clicking the button next to their name on the sidecar/phone screen and join their conversation without anyone having to conference the lines.Is that feature available on RingCentral? We would like to use it at my new company.

We have RingCentral set up for our support department and are set up to receive notifications of afterhours voicemails. However, our issue right now is that the SMS messages are not sending to Verizon. According to many other forums Verizon disables the feature if it's being used for commercial purposes. Which RingCentral utilizing their ##########@vtext.com feature is a commercial purpose. When I have notifications set up on an ATT number it works fine. The issue is that our company phones are Verizon. Does anyone have a better solution for afterhours voicemail notifications? Our old phone service would call us for notifications and that would be preferable, except I've read where RC won't support that. Any assistance would be great.

When bulk sending SMS, we always want to send SMS as individual messages rather than to a group. To do so, we manually uncheck "Create group text". This works as expected.The issue we are running into is that the people sending bulk SMS tend to forget to uncheck "Create group text".Is there a setting or a workaround to set default "Create group text" as UNCHECKED?

Is there a way to extend the amount of time a user has to dial a number when using their desk phone? We have Polycom VVX311's and some folks have had trouble dialing a number especially one they are not familiar with before it times out.

My company just got new Poly VVX 450 phones, and our primary operators have the expansion module with 30 additional line keys. We each added 20-25 internal extensions using the Ring Central App (in the HUD menu), but the results were inconsistent.Some of our phones displayed contacts on the expansion module only (skipping line keys 3-12 on the phone screen) while others started on line key 3 (on the phone screen) before spilling over to the expansion module. I can't find any setting that controls this.Is it possible to skip those line keys on the phone itself and start the contacts on the expansion module (I assume it would be line key 13)?

Hello,We have 3 users with ring central. We are having an issuewith call log. If user 1 does not answer the call, if it gets answered by line 2 or 3; it still comes as missed call on user 1. Now the employee on user 1 sees it as missed call on her ring central app even though it is answered by other lines and calls the customer again.If the call is answered by either of the lines it should come as answered in call log instead of missed call.Please kindly fix this problem.. or guide us through the solution. Any help will be appreciated!

Although clearly this has been out there for some time, we weren't aware of the JWT requirements, so we have been trying in the last day to get this working for our client. We don't have our own RC account, and since it seems that the ability to send SMS has been removed, we can't try it on our own account. We are able to authenticate with JWT, just can't actually send an SMS message because the feature isn't available. We had the client create a new JWT application for production so that we wouldnt impact the existing password based application, but we can't even get that one to give an access token - we just get "Unauthorized for this grant type,Invalid Authorization header". I've seen other posts suggesting that it can take some time, but it's been over 3 hours and we still can't get it to work. What other options might we have to troubleshoot this? THE NEW APP UPDATE DOES NOT PROVIDE THE DETAILS TAHT WERE AVILABLE LAST WEEK. iT NO LONGER SHOWS THE DATE, TIME AND USER NUMBERS IN THE MSSG APP. THIS CHANGE IS DEFICIENT. THIS CHANGE IS NOT ACCEPTABLE. THE INFO IS NEEDED FOR TEXT MESSAGING CHRONOLGY. A TERRIBLE UPDATE!

We are using RingCentral app for Teams with the RingCentral for Teams Desktop Plugin. We have users when they receive a call their browser opens a new tab to www.goole.com. Just started today and it is happening to several users. I have verified they do not have RingCentral Desktop app installed, and the "Launch an external app or website for incoming calls" is not a setting in the Teams RC app. How do I resolve this for my users? Also, why was this turned on in the first place?

Hello,Is it possible to pair 4 Yealink cordless handsets to the same number (one user), so that they all 4 phones can simultaneously make outbound calls or receive inbound calls? Or would I need to purchase a user license for each handset?Thanks

My organization runs a small call center for one of our programs. I have set up a dashboard to monitor this call queue and I am trying to set a KPI for 'Unique Callers'. I have noticed that many callers will call 4+ times for a few seconds before waiting in a queue for a few minutes. I can filter out the calls that are 'x' amount of time but it would be nice to see total unique compared to total called. Curious if anyone has figured out a way to do this?

I have a client who bought Spectrum VoIP service. Spectrum partners with RingCentral to provide VoIP. RingCentral supports the Audiocodes MP504 analog telephone adapter. My client is experiencing momentary audio dropouts during calls that is directly impacting his business. (Also, he is not seeing Caller ID but this is a less significant problem.) When I contact Spectrum, they say they don't support third party devices (Audiocodes). When I contact Audiocodes, they won't help unless I pay $600 for support. When I contact RingCentral, they say my support request was "misrouted" and I need to contact Spectrum.The setup: Spectrum fiber:Ethernet bridge/media converter -> Audiocodes MP504 Gateway/analog telephone adapter -> NEC 2100 KSU. It's been suggested to see if the MP504 supports QoS but I can't find the correct username and password. How can I identify a Ring Central caller? My calls are forwarded to my cell phone. How can I tell if a call is a forwarded RC call and not a direct call to my cell?

How can two users see the incoming faxes? Or in the alternative how do we change who gets the faxes? I am the admin, but another user needs to receive the faxes.

Has anyone successfully deployed the Spectralink 84xx phones as a standalone (no server) with Ringcentral and if so, would you mind sharing the SIP and LINE configs from the handet. I am using https://github.com/ringcentral/ringcentral-softphone-js for one of my use case. How can I transfer call in this SDK. It seems to have message exchange with some command for voicemail. Do we have something similar for transfer?

We need to be able to block outbound phone numbers for people who have opted out of the system. Our previous system allowed us to have a list of blocked phone numbers that when we tried to call them, the call would disconnect. Does Ring Central have an option to enter phone numbers that users in the building can't call out?
