system appears to be completely down to external calls, no in or out

i want to return phones i am  not using 

We've been RC users for 12+ years. We have always used the 'press 1 to connect, press 2 to send to voicemail, etc' feature on both extensions, and more recently on call queue's, so when RC dials our landline # (NOT VOIP connection), and we answer the phone, it prompts us to 'press 1 to connect'.Recently, randomly and only sometimes, RC does not recognize when we press DTMF tones, like '1' to connect. It just doesn't 'hear' the sounds, RC keeps repeating itself. Caller enviably sent to voicemail.In the past, maybe twice in the past 12 years or so of being a customer, we found the issue to be some sort of inter-carrier switch issue. Something in RC's switches or the telephone network switches or whatever, was not relaying the DTMF signals. Only the voice. We use Ring Central integrated with MS Teams through CloudPBX. All of a sudden, I have some users that can successfully place outbound calls through Teams, while others can’t. We all have the same setup. The Ring Central app allows the users who cannot call out in Teams to call out through the RC app. Has anyone else experienced this?

Today we organized an “all hands meeting” leveraging the “start a conference call” feature in ring central app. I called Tech Support twice before the conference and they assured me that 1,000 participants won’t be a problem.During the conference call we reached the limit @ 200 participants. The website says 1,000 participants can join. I would always like to be reachable by phone via the RC mobile app. However, when I'm travelling and don't have a desktop app open and my smartphone is locked, my status is automatically set to ‘offline’. However, the status should still be set to ‘available’ so that I can always be reached. Is it possible to configure RC in this way or can you really only be reachable when an app is actively open and status set to available? 

Question about porting a # away from ringcentral

Is it possible to setup the Ringcentral app as the default dialer and SMS app on iPhones? When my technicians are in the field click a call or text button in our CRM app it launches the native dialer and SMS. Can that be changed to Ringcentral?

Good morning,We just noticed in adding a new staff member to RC that there’s now a third option in the Call Recording area of User Details.  No Blog entry, no documentation, no news from RC - it just popped up.Anyone from RC want to take a stab at it and let us know what it is, how it functions, how its triggered, and what it says?!?  I enabled it on my extension, and California being a 2-party notification state - would think I would hear something on the callers side.  Nope.  Just silence. (calling to/from my personal cell)Just curious. 

The RingCentral Windows app tends to "follow" the default speaker and microphone devices, even when we manually set them in the app.Is there a way to prevent the app from changing devices unless specifically instructed to do so? We frequently change audio devices and other apps keep their existing preferences, but with RC we have to go into the settings every time we change an audio device to pick the correct mic/speaker combo again.

clicking call after inputting a call out number, but the app will not acknowledge that I am pressing call. computer desk top app - not allowing call out. HELPPLEASE  

When a customer is on hold I want to give them the option to hang up but retain their position in the queue and call them back automatically when a representative is available for them. is that possible with Ring Central?

I have ring central app installed on my Samsung Galaxy S8 and all of my notification for my phone flow through my Asus ZenWatch 2 except when I get a Ring Central phone call through the app. All of my other notifications for my phone are set to silent because I get my notification through my watch, except Ring Central calls which cause my cellphone to vibrate.

Literally every single time my MacBook goes to sleep the ring central Phone app freezes (abnormal termination per the bajillion reports I've bothered to click yes to send). The Ring Central app (as opposed to the Ring Central Phone App) (boy that never gets confusing) doesn't seem to have the same issues, however I hate the Ring Central app, it's cumbersome and filled with features that none of my clients will ever agree to start using, whereas the phone app is clean and simple and basically a phone fax text app. Phone App is 23.1.1.45971, M1 Mac is running Ventura 13.3, everything is up to date. I'm curious if anyone else is having issues, wonder if anyone has a working solution (aside from the generic and does not fix the issue uninstall reinstall), and generally just hope this gets seen by RC tech support.

I'm trying to figure out what is causing this problem. When various of the phone team are taking calls from the callers through the call queue and have the calls forwarded to their cell phone, a call comes in and they are prompted to "press 1" to accept. This all worked great until about 2 weeks ago and now maybe about 1 out of 4 calls the system won't acknowledge that they pressed a number. Some are iPhone's and some are Androids. Thought maybe changing the DTMF tones to long instead of short might help but can't find that setting on my Galaxy S8....

I’m struggling with creating a custom rule for a user on our account, and wondering if I’ve misunderstood how it works.The user’s extension was originally set up to play a non-voicemail announcement for all calls. The intention was to try and keep this user’s extension open for internal employees while not allowing inbound calls from outside to ring their phone or leave a message.To that end, I tried creating a custom rule on his extension that would allow callers within our company account to bypass this call routing and leave a voicemail message - adding each of our company users manually to the Callers field. Still, regardless of who calls him, all users still get the announcement without voicemail.I’ve also tried this on my own extension with similar results, so I am curious if there’s a piece I’m missing.

Are calls initiated by the softclient also recorded in the call history of the ip desk phone?

Our business has been receiving a ton of robo calls from dead numbers over 25 in one day. I called customer service and a very nice young man recommended that I block the calls which I spent the better part of the afternoon doing, but I don't think this will help as all of calls are coming in from in invalid numbers. Is anyone else dealing with the same problem?

I’m switching a phone from one location to another. My problem is I can’t seem to change the Assigned type from a limited extension to a User phone. as well as change the name and extension.Has anyone else had this issue or done this same type of thing?

How to I block a customers phone number from being called by a memeber of my staff if the customer asks us to never call them again?   There has to be a way to put a customer on a Do Not Call list where if a memeber of my staff calls that number that it either automatically fails or gives them a message of some sort that it’s a blocked number.

Hello,I use an oldish but fantastic Plantronics headset C052A connected with a APU-76 USB adapter, on my W11 PC. I also use a Jabra desktop speaker on the same PC, USB connected.Both work 100% perfectly in Teams and Zoom. I can switch between them during a call and they both work reliably, and the headset never skips a beat.In Ringcentral (Desktop: 23.2.21.7380 Windows (x64) 2023-05-18 07:03:19) the Jabra works 100% OK. The Plantronics headset keeps cutting out. This is random and generally lasts for a few seconds, then sound is re-established. In a 5 min call this happens 4 or 5 times. When it cuts out, the headset "clicks" and both incoming and outgoing sound are muted. There isn't a repeatable pattern to this. This also happens when the Jabra is disconnected.I have tried downloading and using the Plantronics hub software (https://www.poly.com/gb/en/support/downloads-a

I have set RingCentral ringtone to “High Gong” but for some reason it is playing “Phone Ring.” I am using the RingCentral App. I tried using the web-version but still have the same issue. I have tried every possible solution I can think of, including:Updated the Application Clear App data as well as Application data from the Storage Logged out of App and logged in only to the browser Browser used Chrome No any rules setup for the ring tone Selected Help and reported the issue to Ring  Central with the details

We currently have an IVR system in place. During nonwork hours a caller is prompted with the following:Press 1 for English, Press 2 for Spanish. It will then bring them to the next IVR menu. The options for the next menu is the same just in different languages. Press 1 to go to live person, Press 2 to go voicemail. I’ve tested the IVR menu using the extension connected and it works perfectly. However, when implemented during nonwork hours, when the caller presses 2 on the second IVR menu instead of sending the call to a voicemail box, it loops the call back to the beginning menu.  Does anyone else have this issue or a workaround for why when it is implemeneted it does not funciton as it does during testing? 

Hello,All Android 15 users at our company that have installed the Dec ‘24 Pixel security patch are being logged out of the RC app when the app loses focus.For example, so long as the app is on screen, all is fine.  However, if the app is swiped away (closed) or another app is on screen for too long and an RC call comes in or the app is brought back up, the user is sent back to the sign in screen and the call is disconnected.Since I need my cell phone and desktop to ring simultaneously, this kills all calls on both devices.  So, the only workaround I’ve found is to forward all calls to my cell phone, which makes RC mostly useless.Support has been unable to fix or provide a better workaround.Is anyone else experiencing this?Thanks!
