1. The call history shows but phone does not ring.2. There is no option to toggle "Accept Queue Calls" on or off where it normally would be in the app.3. I have attempted to changed the incoming call settings to make it work but any change made only seems to affect direct calls to my extension.

This question was apparently asked a long time ago without any response so I am going to post it again. Is there a way to set up a line to go straight to voicemail when a new call comes in and the user is already on a call?

I recently was told to uninstal my RC PHONE desktop app and install the newer RC Classic app. When I did this, by contacts did not merge. I had dozens of business phone and fax numbers saved that did not merge. Can the old contacts with names and faxes please be merged?Thank you.

Hello,I would like all incoming business calls to simply hear our greeting and leave a message. As simple as it is, I cannot find straight answers on how to do this!

Scheduled meetings do not display in the new RingCentral Desktop App, as we cannot link to Office 365 or Google Services having Onsite Exchange and Local Outlook 2016.RC-Meetings displays Scheduled meetings correctly in the App as a list and from there you can start them. RC Desktop and Mobile Apps do not. Its is handicapping the users that have Onsite Exchange and Local Outlook 2016.The Outlook 2016 integration into Outlook 2016 doesn't do it either.What we could do with is by default all scheduled meetings appearing natively in the Meetings section of the RC Desktop App and then if you want to Integrate with Microsoft/Google, that takes over.The native functionality is essential.

Restricting users to change caller ID from the app.

All of a sudden, incoming calls are going straight to voicemail without DND being enabled. The calls go to voicemail for a few seconds and then the line starts ringing even if the incoming call has hung up.... HELP! the boss is out of town.... lol

I am using RingCentral Office Standard. I would expect to be able to go into the online admin portal and control the outgoing caller ID via Users --> User List --> Users with Extensions, select a user and then administer their outgoing caller ID.But I don't see any such capability, the user's outgoing caller ID is always set to the main corporate number. Am I looking in the wrong place?

Hi RingCentral Community!We have a need to allow a Employee B to cover for Employee A while they are out on medical leave.We need all calls and voicemail destined for Employee A to end up with Employee B for a certain amount of time. Since Employee B is working from home and does not have the ability to have their Polycom phone with them, they need to use the Apps (both desktop and mobile). As I understand it, RC cannot forward calls to the apps directly (seems odd) so we need to set up a call queue for Employee B. I have done this and created a custom rule but just cannot get it to work.Calls made to Employee A do go to the Employee B Call Queue but the voicemails are left in the Call Queue voicemail and no notifications go out.

I have a problem where when answering with a headset the caller hears them self but the recipient does not hear the echo. It makes it hard for the caller to speak because they have to speak over their own echo.

I was experiencing some strange call behavior. Calls to my main extension were going to other phone numbers which I had used in the past. Turns out that ALL of my old forwarding numbers, which were toggled off in Call Handling, had been toggled back on. Calls to my RC extension where ringing all ten of the numbers in my ring group. I still use those other forwarding rules from time to time but I had NOT toggled them on. This was something which RingCentral did. In talking with another company which uses RC, they experienced the SAME problem within the past few weeks where all numbers in their ring group were inexplicably toggled on.

I successfully ported one of my phone numbers from Ring Central to 8X8The VoiP works but messages still arrive at Ring Central.

I am supposed to have a dedicated fax number, but when you call, it gives a message with options. How to eliminate that and just accept the fax?

With Ring Central App people are getting network unstable messages and calls are dropping. This didn't happen with the RC Phone app. PLEASE FIX THIS.

We have a user utilizing the RingCentral app on her iPhone. When she tries to merge calls she receives this error. I have confirmed that she has the most up to date iOS software, the latest version of the RingCentral app, and has also uninstalled and re-installed the app with no luck. I spoke with Ahmad Bahauddin and he let me know this was a a bug issue with reference number COOPS-6859 .We have multiple users on iPhones who are not experiencing this error. Is there a reason this is only affecting one of our users? Additionally, is this something our other iPhone users should expect to experience in the near future?I was told that there is currently no work around for this solution. Please advise

Prompt says "connecting" but it never does connect

We are hoping to be able to use a custom cover page when using the Ring Central Phone app (Android). I know you can create a custom cover page using the RC Phone app on Windows desktop, but can't seem to find a way to do it on mobile (or at least attach the custom to the app). Basically - Have MD's that want to send prescriptions from taking a photo with their phone and sending it via fax with a custom, HIPAA approved cover sheet.

How do I permanently change my display name so that I don't have to edit every time I have a meeting?

Hi Team,We need that under live report we can identify1.Outbound calls and inbound calls2.caller id or phone number for incoming calls3.caller id or phone number for calls on wait4.Live call time as well . Currently it does not show live call time.5. DND feature where we can put agents on break from live report section.6.Agents Login and logout feature under admin profile. Right now and admin cannot logout an agent.

So I was prompted to update to the newest version of the Ring Central softphone application for my desktop (workstation) and believing it would be better I did so. Now I'm getting Error Code 0xc0000018 "The application was unable to start correctly" and am given only the option to click ok to close the dialog box. This after an hour and half of installing, uninstalling, and troubleshooting the application directly from the Ring Central Support page. Any one else have this problem and if so how did you resolve it?

We are aware of pressing transfer>blind>*0>ext# to send a call straight to another user's VM but this does not work with our BLF keys. Reception desk uses Polycom VVX450 with sidecar so we have many BLF keys and no need to memorize all user's 4 digit extensions.

We want to turn on the giphy feature, however, when we set the rating to "G" we still see a lot of inappropriate gifs. Is anyone else experiencing this? Its especially related around animated gifs.

With the newer version of Ring Central app, the developing team also included to show time stamps on every text that you send or receive. Which is annoying at times because me and my coworker text a lot for business and on my phone screen it only shows 3-4 msgs and 8 time stamps when those msgs were texted which is basically the same time i.e. less than within a min texting time.So ideally like how iPhone's iMessage has a feature of hiding the time stamp and slide left on the text message to see what time it was recd or sent will save a lot of space on screen for back in forth texters like me. If we cannot have the feature like iMessage , we can always go back to the previous texting time stamp patterns.To be honest - its the most annoying thing to see time stamps more than texts their(highlighted with red lines) - for more clarifications I've attached a text snapshot between 2 co-workers.

Need to have the ability to save entire text / SMS conversations.As a business, I need to be able to record entire conversations that I have with my customers. Heck, I'd be happy with being able to go to the web app, click a few buttons and save each conversation of interest manually and separately. But even this simple work around isn't there.
