I wish RingCentral could allow me to make outbound calls from my computer. I have a wireless headset and that would be so cool.

RC desktop apps can be used to receive incoming calls and SMS.But can we use it for outbound call? It seems outbound calls are not supported

How can sms facility for a particular user can be stopped.From where can it be disabled?

We have multiple users and need to be able to review all of their outgoing sms messages to clients. Is this functionality available?

My incoming calls are not coming through, I only receive an email notification when I miss a call. My laptop doesn't ring when someone calls.

When setting account up, typo in contact number. I'm an admin, simply want to fix the typo but the 'edit' icon doesn't go to that field.

When making outbound calls from my direct extension the callerID doesn't populate with our company name. I have our company name setup on our admin account for the callerID field. I am aware that the callerID should not show up when calling from our Toll-Free number. Not sure why it doesn't display when dialing from a direct extension when calling outbound.

We switched to the multi-site setting hoping that each user, in our case it's a different location, would be able to show unique ID when making the outbound calls. We were very disappointed when we learned that in order to accomplish it, the user need to have a virtual number, and not the digital one. It's not possible if you have a desktop phone and you want your phone to show your location number as well as your location name, and not the company name. Are we missing something here? We thought the whole idea of the multi-site version was to make every site customized.

Using Ringcentral Video ( not meeting by Zoom ).I can name the video mtg if I Schedule, but if I just Start one it always gets tagged with "my name RingCentral Video meeting". I am recording the meeting and would like to rename it so when I look online at my recordings I can tell what it is without opening and playing some of it.My work-around is to Schedule the mtg NOW by changing the time to current time and name the video mtg to what I want.Also - the record button is in a great place if you are not sharing your screen. But sharing your screen moves the record / pause under settings and is difficult to navigate to for a quick pause.

RingCentral App Feature request: When using multiple speaker and microphone devices on a given system, callers can be unsure of whether their microphone is working, especially when leaving a voice mail to which the call recipient cannot verify the caller is being heard, perhaps if they have not selected the appropriate microphone device. In a similar case, a caller cannot hear a call recipient after placing a call if they have not selected the proper playback device.To assist with this confusion, display the selected audio devices (speakers and microphone) within the dialpad on every call, and show a vertical or horizontal bar-style indicator of audio activity and its intensity (similar to what's found in Audio Settings in the RC Meetings app) as the caller or the call recipient are speaking. We are having the same problem as other users about the delay in audio calls.All out team has the same problem and they are all in different locations, so is not a network issue. All of them have access to high-speed internet and use their phones connected to the WiFi. What can we do to solve this?It's really annoying for the clients and the delay is getting worse since the last month.Thanks in advance for your response.

Is there a way to pick up a transfered call back to you if the person is not there.

I attached a custom hold music piece to department> call handling>audio while connecting. Clients are stating that the custom music is too loud. When it was rendered, it was rendered at a normalized decibel level. Uploaded as 16 bit pcm .wav at 8khz mono. Anyone know how to reduce the playback volume on the RingCentral side?

I filtered calls to/from a specific number for the last 7 days. I used the check box to select the calls to and from that phone number. I clicked on "Delete Calls". It asked me if I wanted to delete "All Calls" and of course, since I had selected only the calls I wanted to delete and filtered them by 1 phone number so only a handful of calls came up in the search, I said "yes". The next thing I did is go back to all the calls to the main call log with no filters. There was nothing there... except for existing calls that were in progress. All calls had been deleted. The recordings are very important to our business and we refer back to them and/or send them to customers when something comes up. We also use the call log for training purposes. To have the entire call log deleted in this way is very deflating, although I did delete it myself, I'm not sure how. I think the worst part about all of this is that customer service is not able to help me recov

I can make calls on the RC softphone for mobile and desktop but I don't get any ringing when someone calls (in). I also have a Cisco IP phone SPA525G which works as expected (Probably not relevant). We have switched to remote work so now we need the softphone to receive calls in addition to IP phones. I don't mind if they all ring at once or in sequence. Some of my colleagues are having the same problem and I have been tasked with fixing the issue. Thank you in advance.

Previous to about a week ago, participants on Chrome OS were able to screen share without issue. Today when attempting to have a participant screen share from Chrome OS, the OS notified the participant that screen sharing had started, but all others in the meeting could not see what was being shared.This has been tested on Google Pixelbook and ACER Chromebase.

It appears that incoming faxes that remain in progress for an extended amount of time are preventing incoming calls from ringing through. The incoming calls subsequent to the In Progress fax show as missed calls, but they never ring on our phones. Any idea what's going on here?

What router works best with ringcentral and Verizon Fios?

We are currently using a Yealink 56P as our cordless phone along with several other Polycom corded phones. With our phone system setup, in order to transfer a call to another phone, it has to be parked first. We have softkeys on the desktop phones setup for this, but not for the cordless There is a sequence of keys that can be used, but for all practical purposes no one is going to do that from the cordless phone as it is just too difficult. Does anyone know a way to EASILY send a call to one of two predefined parking spots from the Yealink cordless phones?Is there another compatible cordless phone that might work better? I have read through the manuals for several other non-supported cordless models and haven't been able to find anything.Would using a cell phone with the mobile app potentially provide a better solution?Any help would be appreciated.

RingCentral works fine for my own incoming calls. But monitor via the HUD (RingCentral Phone) I see the call coming in but no window displays to pickup the call. Like others.We using this to monitor the reception phone number.Using the latest version, in terms of the settings all configured the same as others that work windows 10.Is there any reason why I can see incoming call (HUD) but not answer it?

How do I see a scheduled video call? I've received the acceptance/confirmation from the client, but I can't see it anywhere in RingCentral?

I am trying to add extensions without an actual phone. I get stuck because these extensions require an e-mail address which is not available either. Any thoughts?
