Shared Lines. Can another user join an ACTIVE call on a shared line?Like the AB Shared Line is called. User A answers. Can User B also join the line while the call is active?If so, how?

How do I change the main phone number for our RingCentral since we moved our office to a different county and want a local presence?

Hi, We had this pop up two weeks ago but only on our T46U phones. Whenever we try to view a missed call or view call history in the menu, we get an error message that Authentication Failed. Please Try Again. This is across our entire organization. I put in a support ticket, and within a couple of days, I received two phone calls and an email from Ring Central telling me that it was a known issue affecting several of their customers, they had re-created the issue, but didn’t have a resolution yet. A few days later, Ring Central closed the support ticket as resolved, but we’re still having the issue. I re-opened the ticket and tried to escalate it, but I’ve not heard back from anyone at Ring Central. This is causing significant issues in our workplace, so I’m trying to find a solution.Thanks, Mike Camden  

We communicate with our clients on a one to one basis.  We NEVER broadcast texts or sms messages.  We have completed the TCR form 3 x and failed each.  We have had4-5 conversations with RC TCR “specialists” and recently forwarded a copy to RC at their request of our privacy policy that is on the web site and still no one seems to be able to explain to us what we need to do to be compliant.  I tried to explore Textbot on the RC applications page and the appears to no longer be available.   We are a very compliant company … yet this situation baffles us.  I would never recommend Ring Central to someone who intends to use their system for texting. Can anyone suggest next steps? Thx,

When I receive a .vcf or vcard file (i.e. someone shares a contact record from their cell phone) via an inbound text message to my RingCentral number, I can't open the file or directly add that contact, without going to a desktop and opening via another software. For example, with my iphone, if someone sent me a text with a person's contact record (as a .vcf file), I could open the contact record right from the text message application and add the newly received contact record directly to my iphone contacts. Now, when someone sends that exact same message to me via my RingCentral number, I can't open the file on my phone, can't add it to my RingCentral contacts, or do anything else useful with it until I log into RingCentral.com, download the file to my computer, then open via 3rd party application and manually type it into my contact list on RingCentral. That seems like a major step backward in technology! Am I missing something here? If not, w

We have a seasoned employee that has been using ring central desktop app for a long time.  Her Polycom vvx 410 phones red light stays on even after she has deleted all the messages, faxes, and etc .  We tried a couple of things like restarting the phone.  This will work until someone calls, then it stays on until we reboot the phone.   We also did a update that was inside the app but that didn’t fix the issue.  Please help.

How to schedule a recurring fax in RingCentral? as an example, we would like to send a fax out to the same (fax) phone number everyday? it is to test our fax server ever morning it is internal to the company, can this be done without having to set up a fax using send later in a profile for each day it is to be sent?  

I have revised my tcr and my privacy policy on my website was written by my lawyer. Still was acceptable by tcr registration. What else can I do to get texts working for my company? This is important for my business to communicate with customers. Thanks for looking into this

Is there a way to get RinCentral to automatically activate DND mode when a call handler is in a call or meeting on another app? For example a Google Meet or MS Teams meeting? I have been looking through the admin portal settings and online articles but have not been able to find a way to set this up. Thanks!

I don't want to buy a Plantronics or Jabra headset. Is there a way to make other wireless headsets/ear buds fully functional when using the RC Desktop phone app on computers running Windows 11?

I am using the Ring Central CTI for Salesforce.but I cannot make an Outbound call; it throws an error.Can anyone tell me why I am not able to make outbound call?

several employees have reported to me that after installing the ringcentral app on their iphones, they get a notification: “Allow App and Book assignment”. you have either the option to cancel or continue, both options will only make the app pop the notification again after a few minutes. it can last for days. all devices are on the latest IOS. 

We have a couple of Yealink T58W Pro phones with the camera, and I cannot for the life of me figure out how to do a video call with another person with the same phone. Not trying to do anything fancy. I know the camera works because I can see it working on the camera app.

The old RingCentral Softphone would mute (and pause) podcasts, Spotify, etc. when answering a call. There's an option to choose this here: https://support.ringcentral.com.au/s/article/RingCentral-Phone-Desktop-Reduce-Mute-Other-Sounds-Windows-During-Call But it got dropped out of the new release of the "RingCentral app".

Anyone else have issues with firmware update crashing their phones?  We can no longer receive calls for our business, everything goes to voicemail.  After spending 5+ hours this afternoon, they agreed that we need new hardware agreed to replace all of our devices.  However, a few hours later, I received an email saying that we were outside of our warranty and to please call them about purchasing new hardware because they wouldn’t replace.  I’m sure we’re not the only business with this issue and am thinking this might be grounds for a class action lawsuit.  We paid a lot of money for this hardware and I never received an option for an extended warranty.  I also didn’t expect all of the phones to go out at the same time.

I’m thinking it will help if I explain our use case and then ask the question:We’ve purchased RingCentral and Yealink phones that I’ve installed into a daycare facility our church is starting. I’ve installed a Yealink T33G in each classroom to be used solely as intercom devices (to and from the main office) and to make emergency calls to 911 if necessary. When I did the Ringcentral onboarding, they had me set each of those up as a common area phone with a limited extension. We have a Yealink T46U with an external keypad in the main office. That phone will make and receive calls as well as serve as the “switchboard” for the intercom system - paging classrooms individually and hopefully in groups if there are any announcements that need to be made. When the T46U in the main office pages a T33G in a classroom, I don’t want it to ring and the receiver need to be picked up (like is what happens when I try to use the Intercom Key in the admin panel for the T46U (see screenshot

My company uses RC phone lines for calls and texting conversational messages. While we use Sensehq to send mass text messages on the RC lines. However, once our TCR campaign was approved, our texting ability on RC is no longer available, Sense is fine and we can text on Sense. I was told that we should not be able to text from both RC and Sensehq on the same phone line. Has anyone else run into this problem and is that statement true? Thanks. 

When using the conference feature, there's a 3-second delay when speaking, regardless of the number of participants. How can we fix this? This issue doesn't occur with simple transfers but always happens during conferencing, causing people to talk over each other.

On a Poly VVX450, can you assign a delegate line to be the primary (outgoing) calling line?  Specifically, if the user just picks up the phone to dial a number, their main extension (the upper left corner of phone, position 1) lights up.  The user has 3 delegate lines on positions 10,11,12 on the phone.  Can we default the outgoing call to use one of the delegate lines instead of the primary extension for the user?The user can manually press one of the delegate buttons to make the call, but we are trying to simplify for them so they can just dial-out and it will be on the delegate line.NOTE: We have Caller-ID for both their primary line and the delegate line to use the same #.

About 85% of the time, when I answer a call using the Ring Central App on my PC, and then transfer the call, I get a window “Transfer failed”. If I then go over to the desk phone and transfer that call it works fine. any ideas? Once in a while it works. Its a brand new PC, latest software, brand new network cables on fiber optics connection.

I have asked this in the past - but thought I’d bring it up again.Does anyone know, if RC has any plans of introducing the opinion for:Callers to dial zero when they reach a voice mail to be transferred to another (pre-determined) extension? Employees dial zero internally and reach the ‘operator’, (the operator ext. would be pre-determined).

We use Sensehq along side RC as our primary application for texting, but after TCR registration we are unable to send text messages. Sense is requesting we send over a LOA to RC, but we do not know who to send it to and need this fixed urgently.

We're having an issue where someone is trying to send us a fax and RC is flagging the number as a potential RoboCall which it is NOT. How can I whitelist this incoming fax number? I've searched high and low within the admin portal and found nothing to allow for this.
