SMS

As of February 5th, our outbound texting stopped working. We do not use this feature to advertise but to communicate with our customers regarding their service and to respond to questions. Having the ability to text on our store phone number was one of the reasons we chose Spectrum/Ring Central as a provider. Please advise as to the issue. Thank you.

Last week I started getting the “Message cannot be sent” message after I sent a text and my texts aren’t going through. Several others in my company are having the same issue. Is this due to this TCR/SMS Registration? Is this something only our Administrator can do so our company to be able to text again through Ring Central? How can I find out if our company has to do this or if we have done this already? This is really an inconvenience to not be able to text our clients or reply to incoming texts anymore. 

We are not able to send or receive texts from a variety of phone numbers and we recently redid all of our TCS/SMS as per RingCentrals first service failure.  This started with one line last night and is expanding to multiple numbers.  Is anyone else having this issue?

When using SMS messaging, is there a way to have the “OPT OUT” Language as a footer of every message sent?  I don’t want to add this as a template for every text..

I have been trying to get my TCR registration approved since Around September of last year.  I have  submitted the registration approx. 6 times.  Each time I call ringcentral and they tell me what to do and each time I have completed the task.  This has included everything from changing my website to resubmitting the form with specific language.  I have been told on at least three occasions that the inflation has been reviewed and everything is correct; only to have been denied again.  I have asked for supervisions or someone who has more knowledge that the agents I get on the phone or chat.  Either ringcentral does not have anyone who is a supervision or the agents are trained to never put one on the phone -- either way I still dont have the TCR registration complete.  I had no problem with my prior, and current text provider, getting this approved.  Does anyone have any suggestions, contacts, or other help that can be offered to get this set up.  Thanks.  

We were impacted by the outbound sms outage today. We followed the workaround provided by the status page, removed our numbers assigned to the approved campaign and tried to re-assign them. One of the numbers failed to be added immediately no matter what we tried. Support told us that we have to call TCR team in the morning. Any other suggestions? Side note, we received notice that there were SMS setup error white assigning number at 11:31AM today while no action was taken from our part. 

Our TCR for using SMS was approved a long time ago (early 2023) and lots of our staff have been able to send outgoing SMS messages, despite them not being listed in the TCR registration. Two questions:Why do we have a list of users registered when essentially everyone can send SMS messages via the RC Phone app?  When this service interruption is resolved, will our staff be able to resume their normal SMS activity? And by regular, I mean they randomly text individual customers about appointments. -John

Over the past several months, we’ve submitted 7-9 applications, each of which has been denied despite following all instructions provided by RingCentral agents. Our organization supports public safety and emergency services education, and we rely on these communications to provide critical updates for students taking EMT and paramedic refresher courses. This affects students and agencies working on the front lines of public service. Without successful registration, our ability to send essential messages could be completely disrupted, putting vital operations at risk. We’ve gone above and beyond to comply with requirements, including:• Working closely with RingCentral agents.• Adding more disclaimers and information to forms than is typically required.• Repeatedly

I’m on my 9th (yes ninth) in 7 months. How many submissions and subsequent “corrections” did you have to make before you were finally accepted and registered? Or are you like me and still sitting in purgatory?  If you finally got registered, please share your tips and tricks!

We want to keep our business numbers with Ring Central for voice but we also text with customers from our business number. Because we have several different businesses and because there's no easy way to tell which number a customer has 'texted' within the glip/rc phone interface - it doesn't work well for us. We'd much rather have texts go into our team inbox platform (FrontApp). We can do this using twilio but they were unsure if, when going through the verification process, if Ring Central would allow Twilio to handle the SMS portion while keeping the number for voice.

Our phone system is completely offline. No email from RingCentral, just the following message on service status. I am unable to contact customer support because their phones and chat are also down.  Has this ever happened to anyone before? If so, how long were they down? Is there a way we can send automated messages to people who have tried to call while Ring Central is down? I’d like to let our customers know that our phones are having difficulties and how to reach us. Thanks!

Hi ,When having a ring central premium account. Does SMS have limits within Australia (Global MVP APAC License) phone number ?

All I could find were answers from several years ago. I can’t imagine that this is still a missing feature. Am I missing something? My phone app works well but on desktop it's completely missing all my icloud contacts. 

I want to be able to send a text to my ringcentral account by sending an email to my phone number.I can do this to my Verizon phone. I can send an email to mynumber@vtext.comCan I do this with my RingCentral number?

looking to follow up on a case number our Sales representative sent us for a feature request to be completed. How do I follow up on that?

 We’re having a problem with all of our users this  this afternoon where text messages are  Intermittently not sent. The screenshot attached. All of the users are existing users, no one new.  Our TCR campaign has been set up and working for some months -  Nothing has been changed. Problem occurs whether you’re using the app or the browser. Problem with curves for users logged in in entirely different areas. We have one in Minnesota, one in Houston. And one in New Zealand. All are having the same problem. problem occurs if the text. Is going to a single person, or is going to multiple recipients and is turned into an MMS by ring central. Problem occurs when the recipients are on various networks, and even ring central to ring central.

I have been trying desperately to get my SMS working through the TCR Registration.  I have updated multiple times but apparently I am not doing it correctly.  Please someone help me. 

We're registered and approved with the new 10DLC regulations, but ever since this was implemented we've been having issues with T-Mobile customers. We can't receive their inbound SMS and our outbound SMS messages are intermittent and far from reliable. Has anyone else experienced issues with T-Mobile since 10DLC became the new norm?

Looking at the Automator, have you all thought about offering an automation based on a Set Status in the system? I work on a very small team that handles a large volume of leads. We do in person interviews so it would be great to be able to set ‘In a Meeting’ Status and have an auto-reply setup for anytime that status is in use. 

RingCentral refuses to unlock my phone number to port it to my new carrier and gives me no reason why and my account is in good standing and has always been current I am at a dead end with Ringcentral customer service  Do you think it would be worthwhile to contact RingCentrals  carrier AT&T and bypass them to get my phone number ported to my new carrier?This is my business line and important to me. Customer support now says my account has been locked by the Fraud Detection Department but but tell me I cannot contact them by phone it has to be done by email and I was given a email address which bounced back as undeliverable.I have spent a long time trying to get contact information for the Ringcentral Fraud Detection Department and it appears it does not exist and customer service just made the whole story up.No one has contacted me about any problems with my account or why I am blocked from porting my phone number it seems customer service is just a bunch o

How fast does the operator add the ability to send sms to numbers? It's been more than 3 days now, but I still can't send sms.
