remote support requiring admin credentials

When I Request Control of Desktop using the Remote Support feature our users are being asked to enter in admin credentials. This entirely defeats the purpose of this tool for us. Is there a way to fix this?

I want to play a video during ringcentral webinar but when i do the participants cant hear the sound in the video. how can this be fixed?

I have a question about the 'MEETING" feature. We're hoping to use it as a counseling tactic because t's similar to Skype. Is this feature HIPPA compliant??

RingCentral Meetings - Scheduling Issues

This information does not help because this does not work. When you go into schedule for someone else (who you have permission to schedule for), the name is not there, or you click on the name but the wrong name gets scheduled instead of the name you clicked on. Some names don't even show up as real names. They show up as random numbers. We will have to use Zoom now instead of Ringcentral, because this problem is causing so much trouble. Chromebook users having issues with Recording meetings & Meeting Settings

When some of our Chromebook users launch a scheduled meeting via the Ring Central Glip Meetings app the record button is missing. When they go to their Admin RC account, choose Meetings, then choose Meeting Settings, they are unable to click on the Recordings tab to review their settings, it just reloads the Meeting tab.Other Chromebook users report they aren't being recognized as the host even though the meeting indicates that they are the one that scheduled the meeting. Again they are unable to record. They are also unable to use End Meeting, their only option is to Leave Meeting.All of these things happen intermittently. We're unable to pinpoint the cause.All users have the same chromebook model.

Specific number for video meetings.

Forgive me, I am new to RingCentral. I have just bought a couple of tablets and want to use them for video calls. I would like to have a separate number/log in for each tablet (they will be at two different locations). I do not want them to be associated with any of the other lines we have. Can anyone talk me through how to set this up as I wasn't able to find anything this specific? Should i use the meeting app as opposed to the generic RingCnetral App?We are RingCentral UK.Thank you.

Not able to click the mouse using Remote Control

Had a RingCentral meeting with a client where we were successfully able to remote control the user's computer, but nothing responded to mouse clicks. We could move the mouse, but clicks would not do anything. It was a Windows 10 computer.

Scheduling Meeting Time (with clock icon) in RingCentral for Outlook

In RingCentral for Outook, when I am scheduling a meeting, I can click on the calendar icon and it works as shown below. If I click on the clock icon it does ... nothing.I can manually enter the time but I am wondering if that clock icon that I highlighted in yellow is/or should be functional.

Is it possible to join audio from computer in ringcentral meetings from web browser?

Sharing PowerPoint presentation from iOS in a RingCentral Meeting doesn't display properly?

Here's the situation:First, I start a RingCentral Meeting from my Windows 10 laptop.Customer Joins the Meeting from an iPhone 11 Pro Max using the Meetings app.Customer then attempts to share a PowerPoint presentation.At that point, a bunch of problems start:The slide is not shown full screen to those viewing the share.The text becomes garbled. In other words, the file isn't rendering properly.Can't do anything to go from slide to slide. Just have to pinch/zoom, etc. to move the view around the screen.Some other related notes:Tried this same thing with sharing a Google Slides slide deck and it works perfectly.Can jump through hoops to share the whole screen of the iPhone and then share that way but it only seems to share in presentation mode.Saving the PPTX file as a PDF seems to be a good workaround. But hard to ask customer to do that every time.Any ideas on how to fix this?

An executive assistant in my office has a Ring Central Account and her Vice President has a Ring Central Account. She wants to be able to select between the two accounts when creating meetings, is this possible? Outlook is the email client.

Why does the "screen share" never work??

When in a meeting, our "screen share" option rarely works. We are forced to end the meeting 2 or 3 times before the screen share works. This has been happening for several months. I am losing my patience with this!

Invalid Meeting ID from Google Calendar

My recurring meeting ID on one of my meetings is suddenly invalid. This is a meeting I host twice a month. January, the meeting link was fine. I cancelled the meeting occurrence earlier this month, but on yesterday's meeting, I clicked on my link as usual from my Google calendar and when it popped out into the browser, I got an "Invalid Meeting ID" message. I have other recurring meetings that seem to work fine--this is the only one where this happened.

Does the host have to be present to record meetings?

Many times in my role I get asked to set up meetings for our employees. This forces me to be the host of the call and many times I am not present. We learned that if I am not present for the call as the host, or if I jump on after the call started, it doesn't record. It only records when I am there. We used to use Zoom for our conference calls and it never mattered if I joined the meeting or not. Once it was set and the meeting ID was provided to the team they were able to just use the link and it would record. Am I missing something within RingCentral that would allow me to do this or is this yet another feature request I will need to submit?

Error code 104101

A software vendor I work with has recently started using RingCentral Meetings.  I was able to download and install the client, but each time I try to join a meeting I get an error code 104101.  I have a feeling it is a firewall issue with my employer but I wanted to reach out here first to attempt to better define the issue for our IT team.I use a Windows 7 PC.  RingCentral meetings version 19.4.23042.1217Is anyone familiar with this error code and its cause?

number of participants in meetings

The 4 person limit to video calls for a standard account means that we have been using skype for business instead. Now that Microsoft are launching Teams, which has many of the features of Ringcentral but has no limit on how many participants we can have on a video meeting and which is already paid for in our office 365 bundle, will Ringcentral relax this limit? Once we start using Teams for video meetings, I think we'll end up moving to using the full functionality and stop using Ringcentral for company messaging and file sharing.

Problems with RingCentral Meetings App

The RingCentral App is not allowing the video to be displayed from the recipient. The recipient states that they can see themselves, but I cannot see them. Seems to be a bug. Tried everything. This has been an ongoing issue with people during a video conference. I am now on with a client for 36 minutes trying to make the video work, it has been impossible. AND I pay for the upgraded system per month. Looks like I should consider cancelling and going back to ZOOM, it is probably a better system with less bugs. Sometimes if the recipient logs into the Meeting App via their mobile phone, the camera comes up and I can see them. No idea why, but this is NOT the first time this has occurred. Audio works fine, but video is non-existent and cannot figure out the reason why.

Can the host disconnect from a conference call without disconnecting other callers?

On the desk phones we can create a conference call, disconnect, and the two other callers remain connected. On RC for Windows if we disconnect then all calls disconnect. Why is the call behavior different? We need the ability to disconnect from a conference call on RC for Windows without disconnecting the other callers.

How do I disable the RingCentral meetings welcome message?

When I join a meeting, I hear a voice say "Welcome to RingCentral Meetings. You are in the RingCentral meeting now" and sometimes "There are <number> participants in the meeting."I hear this so many times in a day, and it's always *much* louder than any other audio on the call. When other teams start a meeting down the hall, I can't hear any of them talking, but I can hear the welcome message every time.Can I turn it off? Or play a short sound instead? Can't disable or lower the volume of bell that sounds when meeting attendees join the meeting

I have been using Ring Meetings for a few years now and I believe my hearing has been damaged due to the very loud bell that sounds when someone joins the ring meeting I am hosting.Problem: I cant find any settings to lower the volume of or disable the very loud bell that sounds when someone joins my meetings. I typically have to manually lower my computer headset volume before I start the meeting to prevent the loud bell sound from further damaging my ears. I can lower my computer / headset volume but then I can not hear the meeting attendees. If I raise the volume and someone joins the call late, then I am assaulted by that loud bell.I have used several different headsets, computers, Mac and PC and connected by calling as well as using computer audio. All had the same result, a too loud bell.I am hoping that i have overlooked the setting to fix this, or I am not aware of a good work around.Please assist.Thank you!
