I’m trying to use this to update a phone, and have been struggling with my automation to get it to work. It keeps giving me “Parameter [phoneLines] value is invalid”, so I decided to try it through that website with the same exact data - it also gave me the same error.  Where can I retrieve the proper phoneLine ID? What I’ve been using is the same as what’s in the URL when looking at the phone number at service.ringcentral.com, for example: service.ringcentral.com/application/company/numberDetail/[THISNUMBER] That number is also the ID under “phoneInfo” on “List Extension Devices”, which is what my automation is using.   Thank you!

What exactly happens when I change Softphone’s device type to OtherPhone and what side effects I might expect ?I’m building a feature which only works with OtherPhone devices but most of my clients has only SoftPhone device, I’m asking to change their device type to OtherPhone, but some of them worried and refusing, I did some research to know its side effects but wanted to learn more from community as well!Thanks in advance!

Hi folks!I’ve tried to make 5 calls using https://github.com/ringcentral/ringcentral-softphone-ts from a single number at the same, it worked very well, but when I add 1 more, I didn’t receive any message from TLS connection.Is there any limit or something there ?

Hey there!Is there a way to sort call recordings by call duration?For example, in the admin portal’s detailed view, I can filter by inbound or outbound calls for a specific extension within a given time frame—but I don’t see an option to filter or sort by call length (e.g., calls between X and Y minutes in length). Is that possible?Any help would be much appreciated.Thank you! 

I have a Toll Free number for my Contact Center. I'm sure you already know, that with RingCentral you need to purchase Toll Free minute bundles for the Contact Center. Since our call volume is seasonal the bundle will be different for each month so I need to predict the volume ahead of time, or at least before the billing cycle ends.Can someone help me put together a report that can help me calculate the Toll Free minute usage? I figure it's something where I can filter on Toll Free DNIS number and then sum up the minutes.I've tried building a report with Contact Duration, but I think the Callback skews everything.I'm assuming that I should be summing up InBound Phone Calls that never used the Callback. For the InBound Phone Calls that used a CallBack, I should probably only sum up the PreQueue Time, and InQueue Time? I'm assuming that when the system calls the customer back, it's not using my TF minutes therefore I shouldn't count that time.Any help would b

Where can I listen to call recordings on incoming calls taken by different employees.Can I download the call?I can see the calls in my admin page but can not download or listen to the call if I didn’t make the call.The user who took the call does not have the feature to listen to recordings.

Hi RC team and fellow users,I’m writing to flag a persistent UX flaw in the RingCentral web app that slows down high-volume SMS workflows.When I click the “Send New Text” icon (speech bubble + icon on the left pane), the modal that appears defaults cursor focus to the “Text From” field instead of the “To” field. This is counterintuitive. I rarely change the sending number and would argue most users don’t. The natural first step is to enter the recipient, yet I’m forced to manually click or use keyboard navigation to get where the focus should’ve been in the first place.This adds friction, especially when sending dozens of texts daily. It’s a small detail with a compounding cost in productivity.Feature request: Either change the default behavior so that focus is placed on the “To” field upon opening the modal, or better yet, add a user preference to set default cursor focus between fields.If there’s an existing workaround or custom script others have used to fix this, I’m all ears. I have one Yealink phone already set up with a phone number and would like to have another Yealink phone (not the app or softphone, but physical phone) at home to use when working remotely ring with the same phone number. Is it possible to have one phone number set up to ring on two different phones?

Anyone know if it’s possible to do on-demand call recording on a Yealink T54W (or other model) desk phone, and if so, how? 

Hello,We are using API’s to send SMS to our customers? We also need to see the SMS that customers are sending to us. I don’t any API or webhook details to achieve this task. We setup call park groups and they have always worked. Now, we are seeing most calls are able to be parked but then we cannot pick them up on the desk phones and receive a message that the call is no longer available even though park button is still flashing and person who parked the call can still pick it back up so we know the caller did not hang up. HELP!

How can I block robocalls from routing though my auto-receptionists? We are getting hundreds of robocall per week that call into one out our auto-receptionist numbers and just press “0”. I know how to block robocalls at a user level, but I need to block them at a company / auto-receptionist level.

Hello, trying to find an answer to a question here about whisper messages in RingCentral. I don’t mean whispers as in those used for live call monitoring/coaching. We use Callrail for numbers that forward to our RingCentral numbers for each of our different businesses. Example: Callrail #1 (Google) → RC Business A NumberCallrail #2 (Social Media) → RC Business A NumberCallrail #3 (Social Media) → RC Business B NumberI’ve messed with display settings for the call queues to display the proper information (with the help of the community already) but the issue now is that we are missing the whisper message once the call is forwarded to the RC Number. Since Callrail numbers #1 and #2 both forward to the Business A number, we are losing the ability to correctly attribute the lead to a source. I’ve spoken with Callrail, according to them the whisper message is still being played. That would indicate that the whisper message is playing before the scheduler can pick up the call on the RC side.

Hi there,I’m trying to work with the RingCentral API for Call Control and have the following snippet of code:answer_path = (f"/restapi/v1.0/account/~/telephony/sessions/{session_id}/parties/{party_id}/answer")answer_body = {"deviceId": RC_DEVICE_ID}ans_resp = platform_rc.post(answer_path, answer_body)Unfortunately, I get an HTTP403 error with the message TAS-106 “Operation is not allowed”.  I made sure that I have Call Control selected in my Application Scopes and that the JWT I created included that scope. Does anyone have any thoughts on how I can get to the bottom of this issue?  Are there other tests I can run or settings to check? Thank you, Jeremy.

Hi, we have set up a call queue with several agents. Even if an agent answers a call, the other agents in the queue show the same call as missed. Is there a setting that can be activated so all of the call queue agents show the call as answered?

How do I stop getting Ring Central calls when I'm not working? I've tried putting my phone on "do not disturb”, turning Ring Central notifications off in my phone settings, and creating focus groups on my iPhone to not have Ring Central notifications come on. Nothing works what do I do??
