Hello, We are trying to build an application for our account where users can see notifications (browser based) when there is a incoming call coming and we need to search for the incoming call phone number in our database and link the notification to the customer's page (if the phone number exists). I understand that there is a lot of work that would need to be done on our end (i.e. search for incoming phone number, send the actual push notification to the browser and all). My question: Does the ring central API system only work based off OAuth (authentication on a use level)? Or is there a developer Key or API that can be used to access data for all users/numbers within a RingCentral Business account? Also, are there any examples or use cases of the application similar to the above?

Hi Team, Does "Update Message ReadStatus" endpoint support batch request ? as i want to update multiple messages "ReadStatus" in one single request. if yes then can you please provide me sample code for c# sdk for the same ? i can see in API Explorer below line : Updates message(s) by ID(s). Batch request is supported. Currently, only the message read status updating is supported. but dont know how to do it. Hardik Joshi

I've been using the RingOut API described here to connect calls using a simple script. It works great for calls where the calling party is on a non-RingCentral number (a via RingOut) but it doesn't seem to work for connecting a call to a RingCentral number, for example if the caller is using the RingCentral soft phone app. Is there a similar, simple API to connect a call from a RingCentral number to an outside number? Ideally something with a simple HTTP GET command like the RingOut API?

I am having an issue with the ringout call api. When I put one of my direct phone numbers in my account as a Caller ID, I get the message that the caller ID should be one of company direct numbers which it is.

Hello Everyone, I am new to using web api, and I am new to using ringcentral. I want to use ringcentals web api to log in from a c# web application and retrieve call log information for both inbound and outbound logs. I have followed their steps on https://github.com/ringcentral/ringcentral-csharp-client but I just cannot or do not know what I am doing or how to do it. In my page_load I am doing the Initialization and Authorizations as in their steps but I don't get logged in. I know my credz are fine because I can get into my testing environment ect.. Can some one provide example code of how to log in and show call logs in a c# web page? Thanks,

I got a c# web app, which I am now getting call logs returned to me but how do I loop through the results and just get the name of the person who made the call and a count of how many calls they made. I need access to the EditAccounts permission. We are using the API to manage dynamically call queues and this is a required permission in order to do so. We wish to update the users in a call queue via our application.

I am pulling the call log via the API using: /restapi/v1.0/account/{accountId}/extension/{extensionId}/call-log I get the information requested except the Extension Number. It shows up in a very few calls, but in the majority of calls it returns undefined. I'm selecting both: record.from.extensionNumber record.to.extensionNumber I saw another post from two years ago that asked the same question: https://devcommunity.ringcentral.com/ringcentraldev/topics/extension-id-in-call-log The answer was that it would be fixed in January. Is there any resolution to this or is there a different way I should be requesting the information?

I have a sanbox set up, and I have 2 call logs in it both are missed calls, but I don't think that matters in my case. What I want to do is return all call logs for all users to display a count of how many Inbound and outbound calls were made by each user. I am looking for an app or a CRM that will enable me to make phone calls where the pin numbers, extension numbers etc are embedded with the phone number? With my disability, I'm not able to use the keypad fast enough to dial these numbers after the connection is made. Will RingCentral do that? If not, do you know which app or CRM might have that feature?

we basically need to implement fax services into our web based product(Made using c# and javascript) and we are having multiple customers. If we want to write the app once and use it for multiple customers, does each customer have to register for a developer account and get a unique app key and app secret or can we use the same ones generated for our app under our developer account? there should be different fax number for each customer that is what we want. so do i need create separate application for each customer to have separate fax number for them or anything else i need to do ?

Sorry for such a simple question. I'm retrieving detailed call log data and trying to determine which RC user picked up the inbound call. I'd thought I could just look at each Call where call result= "Accepted" and final leg result = "Accepted" and the call recipient would be the 'to' of the receiving RC user. Instead, I'm mostly seeing the 'to' number as something I don't recognise, but the 'from' is an RC user. last Leg from call where Call 'from' was a customer phoning in, eg: "result": "Accepted", "to": { "phoneNumber": "+440000000005" <-- no idea about this (example) number }, "from": { "name": "Bob Dobbs", <!-- Bob is an RC User What should I be looking at to determine which user picked up an Incoming call? Sorry if I'm not being clear. I don't actually use RC, I'm just accessing the API. Thanks

I need to tie each phone call in the call log to the corresponding extension id. Currently there is no way to do that when I am querying the call log at the account level. Am I out of luck? -Dan

We need to create a monitor that will show any income calls in our extranet in live time. We were able to show active calls by using "/account/~/extension/~/active-calls", however, to achieve what we need we would need to make a request each second which I guess will be blocked by rate limits. Is there a better solution for it? Thanks

I need to get RC call logs in a csv format every 15 minutes or less to my CRM can someone help with this?

Sometimes if users don't use the mobile app for awhile they get logged out and then the app doesn't ring. It makes the app completely unreliable because we never know for sure if it's even ringing when someone doesn't answer. For now I'm just forwarding all calls to the users' cell numbers because that always works, but then they don't get any of the features of the mobile app. Is there any way to ensure users stay logged into the app and receive calls at all times?

I am using https://github.com/ringcentral/ringcentral-web-widget and I am looking to see if I can integrate the Plantronics headset into the application. Currently we have the Windows Desktop Softphone installed and that currently has controls integrated into it to control the Plantronics base unit. I am looking do do these things When an inbound call comes in, I want the headset to beep in the clients ear to let them know a call is coming When you click the button on the headset to pickup/hangup the call to actually pickup or hang up the call Some type of volume control that is separate from the windows sound.
