Hello!We have two users on Windows 11 who receive the following error message when attempting to make or answer calls in the RingCentral App:Access to your Microphone is blocked. Change your system settings to allow RingCentral to use your microphone.So far as I can tell, Windows Privacy settings permit the RingCentral App permission to access the microphone, the microphone settings themselves work well with other applications such as Teams without issue and RingCentral also works on the same devices through the Chrome browser.About information is as follows:

Hi team,I’ve been trying to get SMS registration approved for over six months now. I’ve been rejected 3 times, and each time your agents told me my form and website were fine. I even asked the last agent to triple-check before I submitted. Still rejected.To make matters worse, I was finally contacted today by a supervisor named Edgar — and he dropped the call mid-conversation and never followed up. That was incredibly unprofessional, especially after months of delay.I’ve spent $20 per submission, and no one has been able to tell me what’s wrong. I need this escalated properly with: A clear reason for the rejections Specific corrections required A contact person who will follow through Please don’t ask me to resubmit unless you’re 100% sure it will be approved.

The statement “may take up to 24 hours” has not held true for inbound sms i have had numbers for inbound sms put in for over a week that are still in progress i have tried reaching out to support staff to no avail. i will most probably be cancelling my company’s account and moving to another provider due to the incompetence of the staff assigned to me and unreasonable time it has taken to resolve the issue of numbers not sending but only receiving sms.Literally the dumbest way to lose a customer ever.does anyone have any bright ideas? 

I am trying to switch from wi-fi to Ethernet connection.  I have disabled the wi-fi and powered down the phone and backup; however, the phone does not work.  I have my computer plugged into the back of the phone, and it is working just fine.  Is there something I have to do to tell it to switch.

We just started using Ring Central. There are many times a day we need to call customers back. If the customer we are calling has an IVR Menu/Phone tree and we need to press a number to get to a certain department - their phone system is not recognizing the number press from the app dial pad. For example, "Press 1 for sales" 1 is selected on the app dial pad, the customers phone system acts like we didnt press a button. This is happening with all of our customers, not just 1 or 2. So I dont think the issue is on their end. Any help is appreciated

We recently migrated our entire company to RC. We have all Poly VVX350s. When the phones boot up the users name and ext show for every line button.I have followed all the instructions I can find on this relating to creating contacts, marking favorites and assigning index numbers to them Supposedly that is supposed to make the new contacts appear next to the line buttons in descending order.It does not.I found this 3yr old post that explains that I can go into the admin portal and go to Presence and assign an ext to the 3rd line button and that unlocks the other buttons, now the favorites in descending order appear as designed.The problem is, we don’t want to go assign a random ext to all 2500 users just so they can then program their own line speed dials.This looks like it was an unintended feature 3 YEARS a

We use the service for our law office, with 4 employees and a front desk/conference room phone.  I managed to set up the Call handling template that rings everyone’s desk phone when an outside caller calls into the office. But, in order to do so, I have one “main” phone line (which is attached to our front desk phone) to handle the routing. The problem then comes whenever I have an internal transfer from another office - going to the front desk - because then the call is routed back into my “ring all” instruction, causing all phones to ring. Is there a way to create a rule for internal transfers that will prioritize the transfer and not “ring all” or is there a way to add another “phone line” that is the main line and carries the “ring all” command but is not connected to a physical phone?   

I use the app instead of the phone but I still have a physical phone from the previous administive assistant that has about 75+ calls on it in her name. I have no idea what her sign on was or pin. Is there anyway I can delete these all on my physical phone. They do not show up in my app as it’s under my name not hers but the phone is still listing her name and all the messages. 

Can you schedule a text to be delivered later in the RingCentral App?

Has anyone ever connected a Snom PA1 SIP paging adapter to be used with an existing overhead paging system with their Ring Central account? Is the PA1 device compatible with RC and if so what type of license is required?

We recently updated some of our old Cisco phones with Yealink phones.  After we updated the phones, we can no longer see the names of incoming callers that are in our contacts list.  Before, the incoming calls would be checked against the contacts list to see if the number was associated with a name, and if so, our old phones would show the name of the caller just like most cell phones.  I did not use the feature, but our receptionist thought it was important to what she does.After searching the RC website, I learned that to enable caller ID names without using the phonebook requires an account upgrade.  But that isn’t what we want.  We just want to know if RC allows incoming calls to be checked against a contacts list OR is this purely a feature of the desk phones we use?  If it is something we need to setup for each phone, I can do that by uploading the contacts to each phone, but that isn’t very efficient.It would be easier if we could setup the phones to point to t

When a coworker is transferring a call to me, it looks as if they are calling me directly which leads to some embarrassing interactions with clients. Is there a way to show the number of the call being forward to me instead?

I successfully registered my number and got it approved.  I can receive SMS, but cannot reply because it still says I’m not registered.  Everything in the RingCentral admin portal indicates that I am already registered.

Hi all,Our current setup is incoming calls are routed to a Call Queue with only 1 member in the queue, our receptionist, as all calls are required to be answered by a person.  The calls will come in, after the company greeting is played, then the receptionist’s extension rings so she can answer the call.  However, if she needs to go to restroom or to lunch or absent for the day, our old phone system can just have her forward her calls to another person and all is done.  With RingCentral we noticed if she turns on her forwarding, it doesn’t do anything.  Her extension doesn’t ring, nor does the person forwarded to.  The call will just ring and ring until time out and goes to voicemail.The only way I found to do this is to setup a secondary queue and enable Forward All Queue Calls.  But this has to be done by me and I rather the receptionist able to do this anytime she wants without needing to rely on me.Is there a way to have her able to forward her incomi

I need to find a way to identify Abandoned Calls. The last bit of information on the Community is 7 years ago. Please help me find education on getting the detail for all Abandoned calls. 

Example.We have 10 ‘departments’ that have call queues. Only ONE of these departments, e.g SALES, is enabled for call recording. As are the call handling agents within the queue.There is a recording announcement “thanks for calling sales - your call is being recorded”When a customer calls reception (no call recording) and asks to be transferred to SALES, the receptionist does a consult transfer to an agent. Now here’s the problem.The first part of the consult - receptionist to salesperson - begins with “thanks for calling sales - your call is being recorded”. But when the customer is actually transferred, they don’t hear the warning.We don’t want receptionist to be told, we want the customer to be told.The attempted workaround from RC is to create a custom recording greeting of silence (1 second) and apply. We recently purchased several Yealink SIP-T34W desk phones to replace our older Cisco phones.  I was able to setup and connect the new phones easily enough but an annoying problem has surfaced.  We use the Auto Receptionist to route calls to the appropriate group during different times of the day.  During our business hours, we have a receptionist group that includes our main receptionist who answers the calls and routes them to the correct employee when they come in from our main number.  That group also has another another employee who is the receptionist’s backup in case she is busy with other clients.  In addition to those two employees, the two principals of the company (my business partner and I) are also members of the receptionist group so we can monitor when calls come in and by whom.  After our receptionist leaves at 4:00 pm, we use a different group with a different greeting and my partner or I will sometimes answer if we are expecting calls and we are still in the office

Hello- I have a user that is on a desktop app and they are not able to receive SMS text on the direct phone # that is associated with their extension. They can send SMS the issue is only with receiving. Is there a setting or any way to resolve this? 

I’m having this issue currently where even if I’m logged out I will still have a notification from Ring Central showing a call coming through. I’ve deleted and reinstalled the app and I still get calls, even when I’m not logged into the Ring Central app. I’m on iOS 18.5, It was happening on iOS 18.4 as well.

We have a queue that is set to overflow to another queue, if the call is not answered in a certain time. Up to this point it works fine. When it goes to the second queue, the call goes to any member of the second queue regardless of their status on the queue. So if a users manager disables them on that queue, because they are taking calls on another queue that day they still get offered the overflowed calls ,even though their status is disabled on that queue.Support say expected behaviour?
