Yealink phones - cannot login on phone screen for advanced settings

We have found an issue where we can no longer log into the Yealink desk phones from the phone interface for advanced settings, it gives an invalid password message, but that same password works on the web interface. We are using the normal admn…pwd password.  This is happening for all Yealink phones from RingCentral after the phone connects and is online.   Has anyone else encountered this issue?

Clicking Ignore Call or Declining the call does not stop the phone from continuing to ring

When I get a call from a call queue if I click "Ignore Call" on my desktop app the Incoming Call screen goes away and then pops right back up a few seconds later. Same thing on the phone app. Using an Android phone if I decline a call, it goes away for a second then just comes right back up. This is extremely annoying. Please look into fixing it. If I ignore a call, I want it ignored. I don't care if it's in a queue and nobody else is answering. If I'm busy, I'm busy.

Issues sending email addresses via text

There are certain times where myself and my co-workers try to text our email addresses to our clients/providers or clarify email addresses and we get an error message “Message cannot be sent”. This has happened more frequently, and I am not sure what the reasoning is. We are not spamming and sending out mass texts. Please Help! This is crucial to our business and we cannot continue to have this problem.

System won't acknowledge number press

I'm trying to figure out what is causing this problem. When various of the phone team are taking calls from the callers through the call queue and have the calls forwarded to their cell phone, a call comes in and they are prompted to "press 1" to accept. This all worked great until about 2 weeks ago and now maybe about 1 out of 4 calls the system won't acknowledge that they pressed a number. Some are iPhone's and some are Androids. Thought maybe changing the DTMF tones to long instead of short might help but can't find that setting on my Galaxy S8....

Outbound calls not recognizing numbers being pushed in phone trees

We just started using Ring Central. There are many times a day we need to call customers back. If the customer we are calling has an IVR Menu/Phone tree and we need to press a number to get to a certain department - their phone system is not recognizing the number press from the app dial pad. For example, "Press 1 for sales" 1 is selected on the app dial pad, the customers phone system acts like we didnt press a button. This is happening with all of our customers, not just 1 or 2. So I dont think the issue is on their end. Any help is appreciated

Error message "Sorry this service is not available"

Individuals trying to text me are receiving an error message “sorry this service is not available.”While other individuals are able to text me just fine.  This is all happening on the same day/hour.   Any advice?

No audio from Yealink BH71 headset when making calls from desktop app

We just purchased a Yealink BH71 Pro wireless headset for one of our users. They use the RC desktop app for making calls. The headset is connected via a USB receiver that came with the headset. The headset works fine in MS Teams. Whenever the user receives a phone call in RC, the headset works fine. However, when they try to make a call using the RC app, the audio on the headset does not work unless they attempt the call 2-3 times. They can not hear the recipient, and the recipient cannot hear them. I have tried turn on/off the HID headset control to no avail. I reached out to support, but they are telling me the BH71 is not supported (but the Yealink website says it is supported by RC). I find it hard to believe the headset is not compatible as it shows up as a standard communication device. RC support wanted me to download and install the RC Phone app, but I’d like to not have to have a one-off user. Has anyone experienced this issue? I have read other posts of people saying MS Teams

how to disable cover page for faxes

I'm trying to disable fax cover sheet for faxes.When I go to users->users with extentions (or templates->user settings)->select the user->Outbound Calls/Faxes->fax settings and go to Cover Page options, there's no "None" option to disable the cover sheet, there only 'Blank' option, but it doesn't disable cover sheet, it’s still present as the first page (it’s just blank). But I need to remove it at all.

How can I toggle between my direct line and company line SMS?

We just got our SMS approval on our acct today but I am not able to receive texts from the main line only my direct line. And I am only able to send texts from my direct line. Is there a setting to click that will give me access to both lines for texting? As of now, I am able to change my caller ID back and forth, just need the same for SMS.

Have to reset password and security question to reset voicemail PIN?

I am not sure when the update was made as it is an infrequent task but I can no longer just reset a voicemail PIN.  It is now requiring I change all three items (password, PIN, and security question) before allowing me to hit save.  Is this intended behavior?   Save is gray Save is blue after all 3 options entered

Texting from an auto-receptionist #

We’ve had our texting campaign approved and has been in “Setup in Progress” for over a month. It dawned on me last week that maybe the setup was taking so long because I only added our main company line which is directed to our auto-receptionist. I added my direct number last week and sure enough I see texting available in my RC app.We are a small office and our clients are only aware of our main phone number and fax number, so naturally when they try to text us they text our main line. Is it possible to use texting with a number that is assigned to an auto-receptionist?Also, we still have our old texting service which receives texts to our main line - would this conflict with RC? I didn’t want to cancel it until we got RC up and running.

Mitel 458 custom wallpaper

Anyone know the process to get the Mitel 485G telephones custom background to work with the Ring Central product? Previously on Mitel it would be located under the Inetpub folder and phones new when registering to the prem system to check for the image. Now going to Ring Central where/how do we get the phones to look for an image?

TCR SMS Application Rejection

My application was rejected due to the following below.  Can someone please clarify for me.  I have NO idea what this means and I cannot find a solution within the community.  Someone else was denied for the exact same 2 reasons but no clarity was given.  It was just stated that someone would get in touch with them.  If multiple applications are getting denied due to the same reasons you would think they would post what it means and be more clear.  Thanks in advance for you help!    Thanks,

2024 desktop APP HUD has changed

HUD in previous versions of the RC desktop APP was fantastic because you could see other users, Call Parks and Call Queue Pick up groups all on the one page however since a July 2024 APP upgrade  this has changed to drop-down boxes on the HUD page so you can only see these one of the above items at a time

ringcentral call log showing on iphone history

I use an iphone and when ringcentral is active on my phone it shows the phone log in the Ringcentral app but all the calls are also coming up on my normal phone app in the recent call history. How do I stop this from happening?

Good morning. Is there a way to have the call queue number shown as the caller id? Its not a company number therefore we cannot select it in the caller id dropdown but is there any way to show this as caller id when its a call queue? thanks all

Does RingCentral Support Wireless Desktop Phones

We are a new user of RingCentral and just moved into a new office.  Only one office has coax capability because it has the wireless modem/router and all the other office is purely using wireless internet.  In the office with the router, we have a Polycom desktop phone.  Everyone else is using their cell phones as their primary phone.  I would like to provide each office/user with their own desktop phone which will be higher quality than using their cell phones.  Do they manufacture desktop phones that can be used via wireless internet and, if so, does RingCentral support them?  If so, which wireless desktop phones are recommended.Thanks,  Curtis

TCR Help with Rejection- Clarify

Hi,I need help please with submitting my TCR registration.  I have tried 4 times now, and still is rejected, but it is unclear why.  I am a small business and trying to use the ringcentral phone for basic communication with my customers.  How can I get specific help with how to complete this for my industry?  There seems to be confusion on what is prohibited or not, and looking at the guidelines what I do is not prohibited, but ringcentral keeps telling me it is, because I don’t have a person who is looking at my account, and seeing what has worked with businesses that are similar in my industry. Other phone carriers (not ringcentral) are approving businesses in my industry and I really don’t want to have to switch my phone # to another carrier (what a hassle after purchasing the phones, and setting up the system and porting my # to ringcentral this year!) just because I can’t get help with how to complete for my industry. Thank you for your assistance!
