Hello,We been testing out the new Ring Central Client on a few computers mainly for the IT staff but are now keen on rolling it out to all our users as it is a much improved client and it installs into the program files HURRAY!Now the problem we are facing is that the new ring central client does not remove the old classic client at all and there isn't an easy way to get the old client totally removed from the computers because of the to me very weird and annoying behaviour of installing it self in each users folder under c:usersxxxSo even if you uninstall the old client 20.2.x it still exists in the users folder and will start automatically if set to that even after 20.3.x which means the users probably won't even notice they have the new improved client.For me to get the old client removed I had to manually uninstal all the traces of the older client in add/remove programs manually delete the ring central classic folders everywhere as if i just removed it under my user profil

The initial configuration of our business hours was 9 to 5. Outside that time frame, calls go direct to voicemail (as they should). However, when we adjusted our business hours (to 8:30 am from 9) calls between 8:30 and 9:00 am are still going direct to voice mail. The hours under Company Info are correct (revised hours) but no change. We checked everywhere we could for DND issues, but cannot find any that would be forcing the call direct to voice mail.

In RingCentral, in a call group, under notifications, you can set where voicemail notifications are sent. If you reference a Glip Team email address there, it will post to the team. This is all great, but due to the formatting, it takes a couple of pages for a single post... most of which is dead space. Is there a trick to consolidate this or clean it up?

Does anyone have success with a high quality third party Text-to-Speech Engine? I have tried IBM Watson in Beta mode. It was excellent and now it is gone. I need something simple, quick and prefer it free. I cannot find anything. Help appreciated.

can you make the app announce the caller id of the customer calling so if i am wearing earbuds can the app announce the caller id

I purchased a non-ringcentral phone and set it up (awesome help from Mannix in the Philippines). However, how do I set the phone up to automatically call the voicemail service? I do not want to call my office number and hit the asterisk and do the password dance. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If a user has unconditional call forwarding turned on, if a user calls from a 4 digit ring central extension, the voicemail is left in the Ring Central voicemail box, not the voicemail box on the extension phone listed under unconditional forwarding.This is an issue for users who don't use app-based mobile phones (and don't use the Ring Central mobile app). Ex. If someone calls that user at their 10 digit number, the voicemail is left on their mobile devices voicemail provider. If someone calls the user at their 4 digit number, the voicemail is left on their Ring Central voicemail box. That means it's possible for the user to miss voicemails, as not all are left on their mobile phone's voicemail provider.Can Ring Central please fix the issue or rename "Unconditional forwarding" something else, as that is not actually accurate. We are using the ring central RingOut API. We want to implement a "Let us give you a free call" feature on our website such that when a customer leaves his phone number on our website he should be ringed through call out API and made enter to the call queue to be received by our sales agents.I implemented this but the problem is that, since RingOut calls the caller first (our call centre), the 4-second call queue greeting is played to ring out first from our call queue greeting, and by the time customer picks up the phone, the greeting has already finished or is halfway completed, as it got played to RingOut. The greeting contains an important message which is "all calls are recorded for training purposes". Is there a way to configure this such that, greeting only plays when customer itself picks up the phone?We cannot hardcode a delay as we do not know how long the delay should be. We have set a users extension up to simultaneously ring another users extension so it can be answered if the user is unavailable. We have found that doing this through call handling will only ring the desk phone of the user that it is being forwarded to and not the desktop or mobile app. Support says that is the expected behavior which makes no sense to me.. If the desk phone can ring, why is the mobile app and desktop app not ringing. Does anyone know a workaround for this other than using IVR and call queues?

I manage our internal knowledgebase for the office, and need to update the RingCentral guides. I see that there are two ways in the mobile app to stop any incoming calls from ringing on the cell phone. You can turn on "Silence Incoming Calls" or select "Do Not Disturb". What is the difference between the two? Are there advantages of one over the other? I know users will ask, and I haven't found an answer on the RingCentral support site. Turning on DND is the easier option, but I just wanted to get a solid answer on what the differences/advantages are (if any).Thanks.

Can someone please explain the difference between 'sendWelcomeEmailsToUsers' and 'sendWelcomeEmail' under the 'transition' array when utilizing the 'Update Extension' API?Also, can 1 of these flags be used to import a user without sending the welcome email, then somehow be used again to allow the welcome email to be sent? A use case would be to import users that will be added to call queues. We don't want the users to receive their welcome email until the call queues are all setup.Thanks!

Help! Replacing a Viking analog door box that connected to a co line port of a digital system. Does anyone have a recommendation on a replacement that will work on RingCentral? We have allocated a Standard license to this. We have wired network cable to this exterior location. Has anyone installed a Viking E20 IP ? Thanks!

How can I see how my Calling Credits are being used and by who?

Can I get my Canadian number, meant for conference calls, to be number referenced on my account for phone audio option for a scheduled meeting. Non profit group here consisting of 30 possible users on APP video+audio and with 20 additional meeting attendees on phone line only.

So we currently have a user assigned an active webinar license (let's say webinar 100). This user has existing webinars scheduled and is frequently in use (actively doing a webinar). If I would like to assign a new webinar 500 license to that user, I have no choice but to "unassign" the existing 100 license then I need to assign the 500 license to this user. That being said, will this modification disrupt any on going webinar and/or remove scheduled webinars?

Just wondering if there are most plans to add additional headsets as compatible in terms of "remote answering" - aka able to use the buttons/functions of the headset to answer/disconnect calls, hold, mute, etc. Not every small business can afford the headsets that are currently compatible with this feature and may want to use what they have on hand. They do connect to the RC app...but the ability to answer/hang up without doing it on the app kind of defeats the purpose of the mobility of the headset.Thank you!

How do I do the prompts for when someone calls my business? Like "Press 1 for... Press 2 for..."

I was told back in July that Call Queues would eventually be able to route calls to another extension. They said it was on the "road map". Any updates on this as this feature would really benefit our company. Thanks!

We need to know how to set up the following:Whenever someone calls our main number during office hours; they will immediately receive a message to press number (1) to speak with a representative; in which our phone number will immediately ring and we can answer the phone. (We have been receiving quite a few robo calls from the same company in which they use different phone numbers each time and we are trying to eliminate this problem). Would this affect our current answering system that we have set up in which they would receive a voicemail message during office hours if the phone is busy; or if we have not answered after 5 rings?

I have basically two sets of different numbers that ring to me. I know custom ring tones can be set up for specific callers, but I didn't find a way to to set up different ring tones depending on which number the caller called. That would be very useful for people/companies that run more than one business on Ring Central.
