I have had 2 customers request to be able to import a Company contact list, just the same way as you would with a private contact list.This would allow importing a list in the same manner, or allowing to be added one by one, from the Admin portal.This is for Standard customers, but premium and above as well.

The entry chime sounds like the exit chime that is on a similar application I also use, so gets confusing.

Where can we Admin see the text messages of some other extension? If the account have 3 users with 3 different extensions, can Admin check the text messages of those extension?I am trying to figure it out? Is this feature there?

Hi thereI am extremely new to this forum. I have signed up to the sandbox environment and wish to create some raw JSON to firstly "pass" a given telephone number and then to receive a response back with all the call recordings/call log list based on that telephone number. I have worked with raw JSON before but after extensive reading in the documentation I cannot see how to get started with the API. I want to use password flow authentication because I have solely created a CRM application (server-side application in the cloud) which will be doing the processing work, as opposed to a physical user. Ultimately all I want to do is allow my CRM application automatic"permission" to access the API and access the call recordings/log by passing the API a telephone number so I can then see the individual call recording IDs for that telephone number so ultimately a user in my CRM can play a call recording. I believe the POST URL I need to access the API with password flow

I have a problem where when answering with a headset the caller hears them self but the recipient does not hear the echo. It makes it hard for the caller to speak because they have to speak over their own echo.

I know that I can compose a group text using the PC softphone. Great. But if someone else initiates a group text, I only see the person who initiated the conversation, not the whole group, so there is no way to reply to all. Am I doing something wrong? If this is a known issue, when will it be resolved. As more and more folks use texting for business instead of email it is becoming a severe problem.

How can you set up additional agent states such as Lunch Break Etc? And it there is a way to make those changes, what report will populate that information?

I updated my picture and it shows everywhere correctly in Ring Central except Ring Central Meetings. I tried the workaround that I found using the mobile app and it still doesn't update in Meetings only in the regular part of Ring Central.Help Please!Rita

Need to have the ability to save entire text / SMS conversations.As a business, I need to be able to record entire conversations that I have with my customers. Heck, I'd be happy with being able to go to the web app, click a few buttons and save each conversation of interest manually and separately. But even this simple work around isn't there.

Hi, api wizards!I've worked with OAuth2 to facilitate authentication with dozens of api's in PHP (ver 5.2 through 7.3), however, there seem to be some differences with how RingCentral uses OAuth and I'm struggling to get authentication to work.I can't seem to identify how to specify permissions. Normally they're expressly listed in the authorize call. Are they implied by the user credentials in this case or am I missing how to set that request?API docs give a longer than usual list of parameters as form data parameters but specify that the auth request is to be a GET action, no POST parameters allowed...so I'm confused by that.One of my attempts in Postman returned the message, "No redirect uri is registered for the client". There are 4 of us working in the call queue and we often have to transfer to one another as well as to other extensions. Is there a way for me to drop the call into an extension that will show the person that it's a transferred call with someone else on the line vs. just me calling? I want our employees to know if there's a customer on the other line waiting or if it's just another co-worker calling them.

Why do we get error messages when trying to open a support case with Ring Central? We need support and can't even get a chat started without being able to log in. We can log into our RingCentral applications just fine, but NOT support.

Using Ringcentral Video ( not meeting by Zoom ).I can name the video mtg if I Schedule, but if I just Start one it always gets tagged with "my name RingCentral Video meeting". I am recording the meeting and would like to rename it so when I look online at my recordings I can tell what it is without opening and playing some of it.My work-around is to Schedule the mtg NOW by changing the time to current time and name the video mtg to what I want.Also - the record button is in a great place if you are not sharing your screen. But sharing your screen moves the record / pause under settings and is difficult to navigate to for a quick pause.

Is it possible to have two different custom greetings for my voice mail message? I'd like to record an alternate custom greeting when I am out of the office/vacation. I only see an option to record only one custom or use the Ring Central default voice mail message. Thanks.
