Can we use only extension on Polycom VVX350 Business IP Phone to use on internal use? This is our requirement

Hi everyone,I have already submitted this as an idea here:https://ideas.ringcentral.com/ideas/CUSTCOM-I-356But maybe there is a workaround for this.Since Shopify is growing so much and the entire world is turning online, would be great to have an option to sync contact details for customers from Shopify into RingCentral contact list.We had this with the old phone system, and was so easy to locate customers and actually answer their calls by calling their names.Would be a very useful and easy thing to do - sync Shopify customer details (phone + name) with the RingCentral contact list.

How do you answer and hang up calls from the Plantronics headset? We are new to RC and will be going live with the new phone system soon. I need to be able to answer calls without logging back into my computer if it went to sleep. I have already downloaded the the Plantronics Hub software and updated the firmware on the headset. This didn't help. Please advise. We are running Version: 20.4.10.284 Web, 20.4.11.2558 Windows

We want to set up a 'office closed line' extension where users call in and check if an office will be open or not. If an office is closed to to inclement weather we need a way that staff can check the status of their office.

We are currently experiencing pretty choppy phone calls. This only happens when we have inbound/outbound calls. When we talk to other people on RingCentral everything seems fine. Any ideas on how to fix this?

I would like to request a feature update to meetings that allows the scheduler of the meeting to assign a different host when creating the invite, before the meeting starts.In our company, I schedule the meetings and send out the invites, but I am never the host. The current setup forces me to sign into a meeting, then try to assign another host and quickly log off before our potential client signs in. This creates meeting confusion and looks unprofessional.Can you please fix this??

RC Classic Version: 20.2.30 (E. 7.1.8)I am barely able to hear anyone on my meetings, even with my headphone, computer, and RC volumes all the way up. This had never been an issue until an update that happened yesterday.It appears that the volume slider in RC has tied itself to my computer volume slider. If I slide the RC volume to 100%, it is still quiet, but all of my computer noises are extremely loud (I have to go into the sound mixer and adjust system sounds to be lower).Troubleshooting steps taken:-Trying RC Meetings instead of RC Classic-Uninstalling RC Meetings and trying RC Classic-Uninstalling both RC Meetings and RC Classic, reinstalling just RC Classic-Toggling all audio checkbox options on and off

I set up an integration with the event subscrition"/restapi/v1.0/account/~/extension/EXTENSION_ID/presence?detailedTelephonyState=true&sipData=true"It is working well but for each call I receive 3 notifications with the following telephony statuses: Ringing, CallConnected, NoCall.I am only interested in the NoCall status.Is it possible to add a paramter to receive only event with this status? I tried to add "&telephonyStatus=NoCall" on the event filter but I have a 400 status when trying to set it up. Is there any specific parameter to reach that goal?Thanks in advance for the helpStephanie

Hello fellow RC Meetings users, We teach international students through RC Meetings and often use the Chat function to post hyperlinks for various language learning activities. This function is no longer working for many (all?) of us and we have not been able to find a solution. Hoping someone has a solution.

People call my RingCentral number have been getting this message all day. I am in Vancouver, Canada. I called into RingCentral and they can't fix the problem. Quite frustrating.

Recently in the last 3 or 4 months RingCentral decided that we couldn't use a duplicate email when setting up an account. I already have 3 conference rooms that we use the same email for. Now that I am setting up a 4th conference room I am prevented from using the same email address. Why? I wasn't asked to create new email accounts when the change happened so I don't see that duplicate emails are a problem since I have them. I can use the same email for notifications and the system doesn't have a problem. I see a check box to not look for duplicate addresses when setting up an account but it is greyed out. If I can't do it don't put a box on the screen. So what would be the problem with a duplicate address?

I could copy and paste my chat message history in RC classic, but it's not working in the newest RC app 20.4.10.284. I need to download my chat message history logs for work. How to do it easily?

Can either the built in speakers for a laptop or the internal speaker in a workstation produce an adjustable ringer sound and not my USB headset when a call comes in? I don't always wear my headset and the ringer cannot be heard sometimes. Can the ringer sound only go to the internal speaker of a workstation, the built in speakers of a laptop or an external speaker so you know when a call comes in? Does this make sense?

* Reposting so that I can be the point of contactHi there,I've been tasked with gathering and analyzing call logs for our company, but I'm running into problems grabbing the percent of calls accepted each month.If request all company call logs, some of the extensions I'm looking for aren't being returned. I suspect it's because the users associated with these extensions are "Not Activated" (Correct me if I'm wrong). I can see the % Answered KPI for these numbers on the analytics page, btw.I'm able to come up with the number if I call the API, requesting logs for those specific extensions. The problem is, with rate limits, the process is taking far too long. (I want to archive logs for every extension, as well.)Because of the way our phone system is set up, we're using some inactive extensions that only exists to forward calls to others. I tried a workaround where I get these numbers' forwarding agents and come up with the counts that way. H

We're in the process of getting ready to roll out the fax function of RingCentral, starting with outbound faxing first [baby steps!]. While testing and fiddling with how we wanted it to look and feel, I would send test faxes, and then receive a Fax Message Transmission Result to my own email. So far, so good. I then finalized the configuration [I thought] and assigned the various fax lines their own email addresses. I also added user email addresses to each fax line [department-based] in preparation for their use. Now when I send a fax, the Transmission Result email is only going to the email address associated with the fax line, and not the actual sender [in this case, me]. Is there a way to change this? If you have 50 people associated with a given fax line, I don't want to necessarily have to give them all access to that email account. Or am I stuck? Suggestions certainly welcome!

I am trying to set up Call Handling to forward all calls from certain states (using area codes) to a particular extension. I know I can do this by adding an advanced call handling option, but can I bulk import the area codes I want somehow? One at a time, for over 300 area codes will be horrible. Thanks.

I know how to submit the update so our caller id name is updated in CNAM...but does anyone have any tips on how I can go about updating caller ID on other databases for carriers?For example, a few months back I resent the caller ID name per the instructions and now when I check the CNAM database, it's updated there...but when I call my cellphone it still gives a different name. (luckily the name is still something that makes it clear that it's the organization I work for...we updated CNAM to "BBB" but the callerid on my cell from various numbers show up as "better bus bru" , "Bbb ctrl dispute", "Better Business", etc. We have had most of our numbers for years, but newer numbers we have added from ringcentral will sometimes show old people/names even though they don't have anything associated in CNAM.Any tips would be much appreciated!

I would like to have an option to be able to disable the Call Waiting tone when using the RC Phone app. I would like to keep the pop-up, but not have the Call Waiting tone in my ear when a second call comes in.

We want to be able to allow users access to "User Hours". Unfortunately Role permission to change it is grouped under "User Info" permission which contains other fields we can not allow users to change.We disables "User Info" to prevent users from changing their account email address in our SSO environment. If they do that, they are unable to sign-in via campus SSO and they loose access to their RC account.Some items underneath User Info->Settings and Permissions are appropriate and very useful to end users. For instance "User Hours".Is there another way, or future plans, to allow users access "User Hours" without also allowing them to change the account email?

Is the RC for Windows Phone application going to be sunset and replaced by RC Classic (Glip)? I thought I remembered hearing this last year and wanted to ask if there was an update.

Here is a feature that I would love to see. The Why: When a meeting ends, many times you need to grab a few key people and do an immediate debrief meeting or debrief call (no video). Yes as host I could wait til certain people hopped off and say, the following people hang on, but occasionally you want that to be anonymous. I could go to my personal room, invite people, and send, but there should be a WAY easier method.For example: During the main meeting creation, a check box "Schedule Follow-Up Call for Debrief". You can set as phone call or video meeting. Either pre-invite people to it to block time, or option to wait and see attendees list. Many times people get invited or don't make meetings.You host the meeting, it has video, recording, customers, etc. You want to end the meeting and cease all recording and then immediately flip to the follow-up meeting with restricted attendees.When I hit "end meeting", if pre-scheduled, a new meeting immediately

We need reporting by IVR Menu extension press. How many people press 1 for sales for example.

I have a customer who has their reception phone programmed with two other phones to ring simultaneously in a ring group (those phones are the backup receptionist and lunch room). During the day there might not be anyone at these three phones so they would like to have another extension have the capability to pickup calls to their main number from time to time. They do not want this 4th phone to be part of the ring group so it rings for every incoming call to the main number. In the PBX world this was called Call Pickup or Directed Call Pickup. My customer is using Yealink T48S phones on their RC account. Has anyone figured out a way for this to be accomplished?
