My team send SMS messages that include our company URL. I am trying to reduce the number of characters in our messages to better comply with the character limits of “segments” but I cannot find information on how URLs are counted as segments. 

If Ring Central reads these, they need to note, this type of service is only occurring with RC. They are at fault for this disaster of a situation that is costing all of us hundreds of thousands in lost revenue. I personally have worked on TCR since January of 2024. Other companies I use SMS with were approved within a week. I’ve spoken to dozens of agents and supervisors and everyone just escalates to the next person. Nothing ever changes. No solutions are ever presented. The same errors I receive back were corrected months ago, and even the agents I work with agree that my campaign should be approved. This is supposedly being vetted by a 3rd party that no one can contact? To me, that seems like fraud of the largest level.  I’ve begun exploring legal recourse and with the volume of people this affects, I think there’s a real case to be made. I have jumped through hoop after hoop and still got rejected for my TCR registry and can not text my technicians. Here is the last thing they failed us for…… DCA2 declined sharing request for campaign CFDYABT. Explanation: Unable to verify, needs compliant and accurate CTA information. Update with specific path for mobile opt-in, HELP instructions, STOP instructions, message frequency disclosure, "message and data rates may apply" disclosure and link to the message program privacy policy, or language referring to the privacy policy. (806)How do I fix this and move on from this nightmare??? We do not even text customers only our own staff so this is all ridiculous.

We have been trying to complete our TCR registration for over 2 months (since January 9th, 2023) and no one at RingCentral seems to be able to help. We have time and date-stamped screenshots (only attaching the final one here) of the successful submission through the RingCentral portal and email trails showing the multiple times we have also submitted it via email in PDF to different parties at RingCentral -- all of which we can forward. I previously had a list of client phone numbers that had opted out when we used the RingCentral phone app. However, after checking the RingCentral app now, those numbers no longer appear. How can I add them to the opt-out list in the current version of the RingCentral app?

How can we view text messages for our users. There are some old questions out there but haven't seen anything recent. We would like our Managers to be able to review their staffs interactions with customers for auditing/training purposes.

The first image is the wording they require with the checkbox consent. The problem is I use a contact form from Honeybook. They don’t have an option where I can add a single checkbox, but they have one where I can have the user select one or the other. I am having this same exact issue!  It’s been MONTHS of submissions and no luck.  SMS is essential for our business and we are currently unable to send SMS.  Can anyone help get this approved??“I have been submitting for TCR registration for 3 months now without success. I have called support multiple times. Each time, they look at what needs to be changed, I change it to comply (again) and get rejected again. The last rejection I had, the support person did not even know how I would get rejected because everything was there and complied. He said he would expedite my case, but that was over 2 weeks ago. It has been a significant amount of time since we submitted our TCR request. Our initial application was rejected, but we made the necessary corrections and resubmitted it. However, the status still shows as "in progress," with no updates. How much longer is this expected to take, or do we need to start exploring alternative solutions?

Can I send text directly to a non-user extension (only has extension, no direct number) on RingCentral App that was possible on the RingCentral Phone app?

My users are having trouble sending attachments. They don’t receive any warning about attachment size (and the file is only a small image). The text of the message goes through just fine, but the attachment seems to disappear. Is anyone else experiencing this issue?

Is there a way to bulk delete text messages?In the old windows app, you could select multiple threads and delete them all at once. Now you have to go through and delete one by one. I send/receive hundreds of texts per day so it takes a lot of time to clean out my inbox.

TCR registration stuck in "review in progess" since 3 weekHave raised numerous tickets, called, and got helped with guidelines, updated everything.But the status of the two numbers we submitted for registration stuck in “review in progress” please help me before next bill cuz i am paying for sms bundle pack also from 2 month with out any use of it this 27 march i have next bill,  please let me know what should i do cancel my account? We’ve been using RingCentral for over 10 years, and while they haven’t been completely bug-free, we were generally satisfied with their service. However, the past year has been a nightmare as we’ve been trying to complete our TCR registration.We already have a successfully registered TCR brand through Twilio, where we send automated texts without any issues. However, with RingCentral, we’ve applied for TCR registration more than eight+ times and have been repeatedly denied. Each time we’re denied (for different reasons every time), we have to pay to resubmit and wait about 15 days for the outcome.Every time we reach out to RingCentral support, an agent advises us on what changes to make, assuring us that the revised application is compliant and will be approved. Hello everyone,Our users will be sending SMS either through our in-house app or the RingCentral app. We would like to implement an automated sanity check before the message is delivered. If users utilize our in-house app, we can have control over this process. However, for the RingCentral app, is there a way we can intercept outbound SMS at the account level before they are delivered?

Hi,My business name is only registered with Ontario so I don’t have a federal BN. I don’t have a need and don’t plan to register on the federal level. How can I register for TCR to continue to send SMS to my clients with a federal BN?

We submitted all the docs/registration for TCR and now the entire system has crashed - no outbound texting, a broken API and Ring Central won't even acknowledge the mess they have caused. Customer Service Rep was RUDE!! Asked us to restart the campaign, pay $26 three different times, and told us a new 20 day wait. All while we see the API is broken! Time for a new VOIP provider...good by Ring Central!!!

The TCR support team is insisting that I add an SMS opt-in checkbox to my website contact form because we collect phone numbers. However, we only collect these numbers to make calls, not to send texts, and we don’t want to obtain SMS consent through the form. Our privacy policy explicitly states: “Consent for SMS communication is not collected through our website; it is implied only when a customer initiates contact by texting us.”Since we don’t text these numbers collected on the form, and our privacy policy clarifies this, adding an opt-in checkbox would be contradictory.Can anyone clarify why RingCentral is requiring an SMS opt-in checkbox in this case? We only use SMS for internal purposes, 2FA, or when responding to customers who text us first, and it’s limited to just three numbers.

We previously had a different phone company and recently switched to RingCentral in January, which now seems like a huge mistake. We had no issues with our TCR registry with our previous phone company, but since switching, we have had to resubmit our application twice. We even had our website designer update all of our website’s contact forms to ensure compliance.Texting is a crucial part of our business, and now we are locked into a year-long contract with a phone company that we can’t even use, which is severely inhibiting our operations. My patients are unable to reach me via text like they are normally used to and have began to think that we are ignoring them due to the extended time it has taken for this to get processed. Can anyone please provide insight or help on how to resolve this? We last resubmitted on February 18th. Just a general question, after multiple times of rejection the TCR Registration is now approved however. At the very end  at the SMS registration fee’s it says “Automated SMS (APIs, workflow builder, third party apps) not allowed.”, for reference the campaign is Conversations (Between Employees) & Conversations (External), does that mean we cannot send automated messages even if we have a campaign for EXTERAL detailing that “We will use SMS to schedule consultations, send appointment reminders, confirm project details, provide updates, and follow up on ongoing projects.”? How should we go about this?After multiple rejections and on top of that another fee will be charged to the account if we submit another one.

 Hello RC Community,Reaching out after months of zero success support ticket and escalation.There is something happening in the past few months and I can’t be the only one.In a nutshell: i am the super-admin and designated operator “0” extension previously (10+ yrs), no problem sending/receiving SMS from company main #, across all platformsToday: I am still super admin. still operator assigned, but…on mobile/iPad (iOS 18/iPadOS), i am unable to use the company main # to send SMS i am restricted to using direct extension/additional assigned numbers  inbound SMS to main number -> view access only on mobile apps cannot reply (unless i start a new chat from one of the other numbers) the mobile apps do not respect the “outbound caller ID” rules per user/extension on web/desktop app, the previous functionality hasn’t changed.

I have a phone number that I use for voice and texting and it goes through RingCentral. I use MyCase case management software and there is an option to use Twilio for text communications. I’m told that I can reprogram the texts sent to my number to forward to the Twilio number. How involved is that process? How long does it take to set things up? Is it something that the customer does, or do we go to our RingCentral rep (Spectrum) to do all that? 

I work for a County Government agency and most specifically the IT department for that County Government and I support users who use OKTA Verify to obtain One-Time 6-digit Authorization Codes via SMS/Text Messages and are attempting to get our TCR/SMS campaign approved.  We have updated our language in these texts to include options for STOP, START, and HELP all of which have been successfully tested internally and have provided examples of each of these options in our campaign.I have entered multiple tickets with Ring Central TCR Support to try and get our campaign in the most tip-top of shapes before submitting it for approval.  Unfortunately, each time we ask to have our campaign reviewed we are told a that it is not correct and get a different reason each time we go through the review process.  At this time I believe we have everything wrapped up except for a clear definition of what is the appropriate method for obtaining consent in order to get the campaign approved.

My SMS was shutdown yesterday and is still down today. Your site says that TCR was extended but that is not correct. There is an open case but I am told that it could take up to 20 days. Am I shut down for 20 days??

Dealing with TCR “Update required” since November. Yesterday agent told me to share my screen so we can fix together mistakes. By the time I needed to press finish button, I received “External tcr api failures". No clue what we changed to trigger that, and agent did not know either. Now I am going back and forth with ring and spectrum and no one know what is going on. Last call said to contact billing but it was impossible to get them on the call. And no idea why billing.  Anyone else had same issue with TCR
