We previously had a different phone company and recently switched to RingCentral in January, which now seems like a huge mistake. We had no issues with our TCR registry with our previous phone company, but since switching, we have had to resubmit our application twice. We even had our website designer update all of our website’s contact forms to ensure compliance.Texting is a crucial part of our business, and now we are locked into a year-long contract with a phone company that we can’t even use, which is severely inhibiting our operations. My patients are unable to reach me via text like they are normally used to and have began to think that we are ignoring them due to the extended time it has taken for this to get processed. Can anyone please provide insight or help on how to resolve this? We last resubmitted on February 18th. We know that, per RingCentral, the process can take 20–30 days, but that seems excessive, considering our last phone company completed our registration in a wa

Just a general question, after multiple times of rejection the TCR Registration is now approved however. At the very end  at the SMS registration fee’s it says “Automated SMS (APIs, workflow builder, third party apps) not allowed.”, for reference the campaign is Conversations (Between Employees) & Conversations (External), does that mean we cannot send automated messages even if we have a campaign for EXTERAL detailing that “We will use SMS to schedule consultations, send appointment reminders, confirm project details, provide updates, and follow up on ongoing projects.”? How should we go about this?After multiple rejections and on top of that another fee will be charged to the account if we submit another one.

 Hello RC Community,Reaching out after months of zero success support ticket and escalation.There is something happening in the past few months and I can’t be the only one.In a nutshell: i am the super-admin and designated operator “0” extension previously (10+ yrs), no problem sending/receiving SMS from company main #, across all platformsToday: I am still super admin. still operator assigned, but…on mobile/iPad (iOS 18/iPadOS), i am unable to use the company main # to send SMS i am restricted to using direct extension/additional assigned numbers  inbound SMS to main number -> view access only on mobile apps cannot reply (unless i start a new chat from one of the other numbers) the mobile apps do not respect the “outbound caller ID” rules per user/extension on web/desktop app, the previous functionality hasn’t changed.Truly bizarre behaviorAnyone else also experiencing this?Support has been useless.

I have had an ongoing issue for 3 weeks now, where my Company Main Number can no longer send outbound SMS texts. My direct lines still work, but I need the Main Number to be active. The Main number can still receive texts from clients but we can not send out. I have had several calls with Support and every answer I get is that my case has been escalated and someone from Tier 3 is working on it. The most common answer given to me is that there is a bug in my account where my number gets blocked after a certain amount of texts sent out. I also received a message that my texts are violating phishing traffic content policies from RingCentral but our content has not changed from 2018 when we first started using the service.RingCentral are able to unblock the number, but it's inevitable that it gets blocked again after a day of use. Every time I am on the phone using my Voyageur headset with the RingCentral desktop app and another call comes in my current call gets automatically put on hold. It happens after maybe the 2nd or 3rd ring.

What is the difference between call interaction and call segment?

I have a phone number that I use for voice and texting and it goes through RingCentral. I use MyCase case management software and there is an option to use Twilio for text communications. I’m told that I can reprogram the texts sent to my number to forward to the Twilio number. How involved is that process? How long does it take to set things up? Is it something that the customer does, or do we go to our RingCentral rep (Spectrum) to do all that? 

I am looking for a little advice on how to setup a team “A” comprised of all my users that will allow them to request help by typing in a keyword. When the keyword appears in the Team “A” chat, it will send a message to the proper team “B” with the user’s name and message. It wouldn’t be very efficient for the team to have to monitor the entire team “A” chat. I thought that using the @mentions was supposed to send the message to the specified person only, but it only highlights their name… Not very useful. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

RC EX platform recording inbound/outbound anyway to mask or mute by the user?

I am on the newest version of the RingCentral RCM and am having this error come up when logging calls.

Good afternoon,Recently migrated to RingCentral and users have begun to download both the RingCentral Desktop App and Mobile Apps but there are discrepancies between their views. I can’t find any obvious differences in roles, licenses, etc between the users that would explain the discrepancy. Screenshots below are the user’s RC desktop view versus mine. On the left hand side, they are missing the phone/text/fax options. It’s the same on the mobile app, they are missing phone/text options compared to my own. If anyone’s had this issue before or can explain what the issue is that would be great. Thanks!

I’m on a Mac using the desktop application from RingCentral. I’m using the scan to fax feature using a brother multifunction scanner. The function to scan and fax works well however the recipients receive an extremely poor quality image. My suspicion is that the resolution is low, and this option cannot be altered in any of the settings on the RingCentral app. 

Has anyone found out how to fix the quality of outgoing faxes? I am faxing scanned pdf files and when I send it there is no problem. When I open the confirmation saying it was sent and hit the view button, it is grainy with black dots all over and hard to read. Any suggestions?

I have configured an Intune MAM policy and included RingCentral for Intune. I have an app protection policy including RC and all MS apps and have the app added to Intune (RingCentral for Intune > Google Play Store, not Managed Play Store). I’ve configured send org data to other apps is policy managed apps only and telecommunication data out to any dialer app.This is working for me on iPhone, SSO (Azure) authenticates against the Microsoft Authenticator app as broker and the sign in is completed back to RC successfully. On Android however, SSO launches from RC app to Edge Browser (in the MAM policy and Edge is signed in/syncing), some URL’s load it seems as SSO is approved, but it is not sent back to RC app, the login just sits on Edge showing a blank screen with URL https://login.ringcentral.com/api/sso/login? Thanks,

We are trying to get rid of the several different conference platforms internally. One use case is a playback feature. Several conference services allow people to call in and listen to a recorded call after the fact with a code. Is this possible or on a request somewhere? I know the creator can download and share a recording, but we just want the voice to be played back when calling in at a later time.

So, I am trying to make a call using my own Primary Number and the post request gets me 200 code but the call is never received on the recipient number. But when I just change the number to organization number, the code from API is 200 and the call is received on the recipient number as well. I tried changing the caller ID to Primary as well but that doesn’t seem to be solving the issue either. The call status turns out to be: Call placed. Call status: InProgress but the call is never received. Any solutions?

I have been a RC user for many years… We have never been able to pick up the phone and press zero and it ring a pre-determined ‘operator’ ext. Has RingCentral made this a thing as of yet? As of right now, a caller (external) can not call a user, hit their voice mail and press zero and reach another (pre-determined) user (or the operators) voice mail… RingCentral has said for years they would be making this very basic and common feature - according to other VoIP Providers a thing - but as far as I know, they have not as of yet? Or have they?

This started last Thursday.  When you call our main number and press the que 1 for appointments, a message plays that the hold time is greater than 60 minutes.  I logged a case, escalated that case, and still have no answer, other than “this is a known issue”.  Well it wasn’t happening before Thursday and I didn’t see anyone posting about it.  Does anyone have any clue how I can fix this.  We are losing so many calls because the customer thinks the hold time is over an hour and it rings through after about 30 seconds but they are abandoning the call.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.  This is my first big issue since going live a few months ago and I am less than impressed. 

I bought a business recently.  The business number is now owned by me.  Except the monthly bill currently says the previous owner and owners address.  How do I port in the number?  I have had zero luck getting an answer. 

I work for a County Government agency and most specifically the IT department for that County Government and I support users who use OKTA Verify to obtain One-Time 6-digit Authorization Codes via SMS/Text Messages and are attempting to get our TCR/SMS campaign approved.  We have updated our language in these texts to include options for STOP, START, and HELP all of which have been successfully tested internally and have provided examples of each of these options in our campaign.I have entered multiple tickets with Ring Central TCR Support to try and get our campaign in the most tip-top of shapes before submitting it for approval.  Unfortunately, each time we ask to have our campaign reviewed we are told a that it is not correct and get a different reason each time we go through the review process.  At this time I believe we have everything wrapped up except for a clear definition of what is the appropriate method for obtaining consent in order to get the campaign approved.Does anyone h

Having an issue with our yealink W70p phone (the W70B base and W59rR phone).It was working until today. We have 3 phones for 3 different extensions. Extension 2 goes to cordless phone 1 (W59R- the one phone that is auto provisioned, the other 2 are manually provisioned). The caller cannot hear us but we can hear them. The other 2 phones are not having this issue. I am assuming it has to be some kind of setting with the IP address server or something along those lines. Or maybe a setting on the Admin portal? I could use some help.

Our TCR has been denied 2x now. Do you have direct person for us to work with to get approval? We are doing our diligence to be in compliance with no help and support. Our campaign is not unsolicited We are replying to a request.
