Custom Webhook for Zapier - Authentication

What is the format for authentication for a custom webhook in Zapier?I have registered my app and have the RC Credentials file with the clientId, clientSecret, and Server, but I can’t figure out where these go in Zapier.I have tried putting them in the Basic Auth field as clientId|clientSecret but that did not work. I have also tried adding lines for each in the header, but that does not work.I’ve reached out to both RingCentral Support and Zapier Support, but they have not been able to resolve.If I use the Bearer Authorization provided in https://developers.ringcentral.com/api-reference/Tasks/createTaskNew the Zap works perfectly, but only temporarily.  I assume that is just provided for testing.

Get Incoming / outgoing calls information - make.com

Hey, We’re using RingCentral & Make.com. My goal is to get information about answered & not answered incoming and outgoing calls. For the trigger, I used the ‘watch all new calls’ module, and to get the info I used the ‘get call details’ module. I also added a 10 sec delay between the modules. The issue is, every time there is a new call the scenario breaks at ‘get call details’ module. This is the error we’re getting: Error 404CMN-102 Resource for parameter [callRecordId] is not found  Thank you!

RingOut problem using extensionId

I can ring out successfully requesting:https://platform.ringcentral.com/restapi/v1.0/account/~/extension/~/ring-outBut when I want to add the extension id I get a CMN-102 error (Resource for parameter [extensionId] is not found) see request example below:https://platform.ringcentral.com/restapi/v1.0/account/~/extension/279580017/ring-out I'm pretty certain I have the correct id as I'm grabbing the extension Id from the request below successfully:https://platform.ringcentral.com/restapi/v1.0/account/~/extension If anyone has run into this or can point out any potential pitfalls I would very much appreciate some pointers.

RC API List Company Call Records by site extension

Our RingCentral account merged to our parent company account. Our account setup as Site Extension account. How do I get our call log by Site Extension. I do not want to get my parent company’s call logs.I try to do  rcCallLogResponse = await restClient.Restapi().Account().Extension("62000").CallLog().List(readUserCallLogParameters); it is not working.  Thanks,Yihan

Click to dial using Desktop App and automatically changing outbound ID based on customers location

We are using the legacy RingCentral Phone App and RingOut to automatically change the outbound ID based on a field lookup in Dynamics CRM. We are using a rest API for this. Does anyone know if this is possible to do with the RingCentral Desktop App rather than continuing to use the legacy Phone App?This is a response I had from RingCentral Development team, almost 2 years ago:“After reviewing the data, we found out such feature functionality isn't possible on Jupiter ( RC APP) in its present release . So, for now, those who need this functionality will need to stay on Spartan ( RC PHONE).”There is a project presently underway named ‘Jupiter SIP project’ (using Spartan as the headless SIP client).  Kevin is researching with his team whether this development would provide the needed functionality to the RC APP

How to verify if a websocket connection is active or not in Laravel/PHP?

Telephony Session Extension Events returning events for extension not subscribed to

I have subcribed to  telephony events for an extension over a websocket. While checking the events received I am seeing events where the event field belongs to another extension for which the events are not subscribed. Which cases does the telephony events subscription return events for other extensions?

Token Keeps Expiring

I am using a webhook through Zapier to create an event in RingCentral when an entry is  made on our website.I used this for formatting purposes.https://developers.ringcentral.com/api-reference/Tasks/createTaskNewIt will work perfectly about 10-15 times and then I get an invalid token error.  If I go back and re-copy the authorization, it work again for about 10 or so times and then fail.Is this generating a temporary token?   Do I need to do something different to create permanent authorization?

Does RingCentral have a Clio integration for law firms?

Clio is one of the most popular cloud case management systems for attorneys. Vonage, Nextiva, Smith ai and jive (and the list is growing) all have integrations that will log calls, messages and time entries into Clio. Why none from RC? RC customers will be leaving if RC can't adopt this much-needed integration.

ConnectWise & RingCentral integration

We are currently evaluating how to leverage the ConnectWise PSA with RingCentral for Voice. We want to be able to click-to-call out of ConnectWise and integrate our RingCentral DID’s, possibly automate some of the call-logging as well. Is this possible to do with ConnectWise open API? ConnectWise pointed me in the direction of RingCentral integrations directly.

Automate SMS using Salesforce flow?

Is it possible to use Salesforce flow to send SMS messages? I’ve only found info on using the RC API to automate sending SMS and I can’t find any info on using a flow to send an SMS.

Enhancement Request for Incoming Call Handling and Caller Identification

 We would like to get the following enhancements to our current call handling system: Caller Option Indication: When a client calls our main line and selects options 1, 2, 9, or 0 from the automated menu, we would like the system to clearly indicate to the receiving agent which option the caller selected. This information would be invaluable in understanding the reason for the call and streamlining our response. RingCentral Call Identification: Currently, when a call is forwarded to an external number from RingCentral, it only appears as a forwarded call without any indication of its origin. We request that the system clearly identify incoming calls as originating from RingCentral, including the specific extension or source. This would help us better manage internal calls and improve overall call handling efficiency.

How to deeplink to the conversation after sending SMS?

Hello,I'm in the process of developing a mobile application with RingCentral integration, and I've encountered a challenge that I hope you can assist me with. Within my application, I've successfully created an interface that permits users to send SMS messages. These messages are transmitted through the RingCentral API. My next goal is to extend this functionality by adding a deep link from my application to the RingCentral app. Ideally, upon sending an SMS message from my app, the user should be redirected to the corresponding conversation in the RingCentral app.In my research, I came across this deep link schema: `/chat/r?groupid=<groupid>`, which seems to facilitate the exact redirection I desire. However, I am struggling to understand how to retrieve the required `groupid` variable.To send an SMS, I'm already using the RingCentral API which provides me with a `conversationId`. Best practice for retrieving call transcriptions

I can't seem to find an API that would provide a transcription of a recorded call. Am I correct that this is not supported?If so it seems my best option would be to use the text transcription feature of the AI beta. I'd be taking the call recording file, re-uploading it to RC, and then retrieving the transcript. This seems a bit convoluted to I wanted to confirm this is a reasonable approach.Thanks in advance!

Is there an API to remove a direct phone number from a user/ extension back to inventory?

Hi,  When we offboard, we usually have an automation to disable the user, but I’m trying to find out how to move an assigned number they have back to our inventory pool to use for someone else in the future.  I can’t seem to find an API that does this, not sure if I’m not looking for the right thing.
