We just migrated from another Ring Central system, and one the old setup, if a user was on the phone it would ring and not try to send to voicemail regardless of how many times. On new system, it rings about two times and then dumps into the voicemail. Any ideas of how to set up in the previous manner?

I have 8 members in my call queue, but I have a staggered work schedule. so my custom rules are like 8am-10am, 10am-12, 12pm-2pm, 2pm-4pm. Problem is that of the 8 members, only 2 are available to answer phones in the 8am-10am time frame. how do I exclude the other 6?

Is there a way to create a contact list or group/team list through the admin portal for users on the RC app. In our case, we have some office phones that do not have an activated email so they do not appear on the company tab of the contact section. Only way I have figured right now is to tell the user to add the number/extension on the personal tab in the contact section.Thanks

Is there a report that will show all the numbers that have been blocked by my users which includes who blocked them? In the admin portal I am only seeing numbers that I have blocked for the organization.Thank you,

You finally wore me out with the constant calls to set up a SMS campaign. I am trying to set up a campaign for internal, employee-to-employee, conversational only use. When I try to set it up, I get a grayed out Select button. Now what?

When calling in and getting the auto attendant, using the dial by name option, it takes the system about 5 or 6 seconds between when you input the letters of the name to when it suggests a name. 5 seconds of dead air is long enough so you wonder if the system is still responding. It is far too long and I have had two complaints from incoming callers so far. They say are unsure if the system is responding.

We got a delivery of a Mitel Mitel 6940W IP Phone to assign to a user who was using an IP480. I went to Phone System > Searched for the user > and clicked on the "change phone button" > I assigned her the new IP 6940W from our inventory. I restarted but the new IP 640W is not displaying the users name (it just displays L1 with wrong time) and the phone does not ring when i dial the extension. I noticed that when i click on the phone in the admin portal it shows "Status: order in progress". Am I missing a step on how to assign the new phone to a user?

Hello,We are having an issue where calls are not being forwarded to the next person in the call queue if the primary answerer is on DND.What we want: -if person A either doesn't pick up OR is on DND, the call rings to person B-if person B also doesn't pick up, it goes to voicemail Right now, if person A is on DND, then it just goes to A's voicemail and doesn't ring to B. Here are the settings I have under Call Handling - Missed calls: -if set to "Voicemail" then it functions as above, and the call is not forwarded if person A is on DND-if set to "Forward to extension", it does rings from one person to the next but it will never go to voicemail if person B doesn't pick up. The actual "ringing" the caller hears goes away after the allotted number of rings for person B, but the call still shows connected for the caller, and never goes to Voicemail.Does anyone ha

I have a user who works from home and was never assigned an extension or number. She wants a number now so that she won't be giving out her personal number every time. She came in and showed me her RingCentral app and she was signed in. When I got to the admin portal I cannot not find her anywhere. I tried creating a user but it gives me the "email already in use". How can I find her account? The only way I can search is through the "Users with extensions" but she was never assigned an extension. Thanks

This has been a long (multi-year) issue, that we have just recently confirmed with RC tech support. From our RC account we can send long sms messages (longer than 160 char), but we cannot properly* receive them ever.By "proper", I mean that all long text messages received from most canadian carriers that are longer than 160 char (approx), are received as multiple messages and usually in the wrong order. With several months of testing with RC tech support, they finally acknowledged that RC does not support the sms technology that all Canadian carriers use as their standard for identifying the order of long messages so that they can be "reconnected" in the proper order and then delivered and displayed as a single message (as it was sent).RC tech support has acknowledged this, but yet they will not provide any estimate of when it will e supported properly, OR any commitment that they are even planning to. Over the last few weeks, our company has been having small little "blips" on our Polycom VVX500 devices. During these blips, company-wide an error is thrown on our Polycom saying "Line Unregistered" and we are unable to make or receive calls. These blips last for about 30 seconds, and then things go back to normal on their own. My laptop is connected to the internet via ethernet, straight from the Polycom device. I have a general voicemail box set up for our main company number. When I sign in and go to phone > voicemail, it only shows the voicemail associated with my number and not the main company number/general voicemail box. How do I access this?

Hi, When I'm not using my mobile phone and a call comes though, my only option is 'swipe to answer'. I recently inherited our RingCentral account and recently formatted and added a polycom phone to our system. On this new phone it has 6 lines available and all of them are displaying the users name. On other phones on our system it is only showing the first 2 lines with the users name. I'm not able to change the settings on the phone because the password gets changed to something I don't know on the phone and I'm not able to remote connect to the phones IP address. I also see for this user, in their presence, they are showing only 2 lines with their name. Is this a local phone setting I can adjust or is the setting somewhere on the RC Admin portal? Is there a section in the RC Admin portal that I can see the config settings to find the password and/or reset it?

when our front desk calls one of our extensions the recipient will hear the phone ring but the caller doesn't hear a ring on the line. the caller just hears dead air until the recipient picks up or it goes to voice mail. I can't seem to find a cause or a solution. this also happens when a call is transferred to the recipient.
