With the standard park where it randomizes the number between 801-899 you can dial *801 to pick up the parked call on any phone. Now I assumed this would be the case with Park Locations as long as people had permission. Is it not possible to dial to pick up a parked call?So say Receptionist could say "hey you have a parked call on *1" and have 1-3 set up for her to park people waiting for employees?

In the desktop RingCentral app, when I click "Video" and then "Schedule", I always change the duration to 30 Min and check 'Use Personal Meeting ID'. Is there any way to set those as defaults so they don't have to be manually set for every meeting I schedule?

Does a transferred contact negatively impact service levels?

Can someone send me the phone number so I can call Ring Central customer Service. Need to figure out if I can reduce my phone numbers from 10 to 5 on my existing account.

So, I just tried the 'flip' option on my mobile app, to send the call to my laptop. Within a couple of seconds, my laptop started ringing. I didn't answer it. Then the original caller hung up. My laptop kept ringing for about a minute, until I unlocked my laptop and hit ignore. Is there some sort of timeout that should prevent it from ringing that long?

When I call support and it says to hold for an agent to help me with my problem, do they ever answer? I have been in the queue for over an hour and a half first thing in the morning and am still waiting. I was also in the queue for over two hours last week before I had to hang up. Very frustrating.

So I will be traveling around Asia (ex: Korea, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Thailand), but I'm based in the United States. I will need to use ring central to receive calls and make calls for work. Does ring central work anywhere in the world? Does this cost extra?

I have a Yealink W79P system with one base and two handsets. On Friday both phones went offline. I have power cycled the phones, restarted the base multiple times, checked that my account is in goods standing.... I don't know what to do? I get a message that says the phones cannot provision. I can't reach RingCentral support. Hi All, One of our RC users getting the error on her RC desktop application "can not place or receive calls. an application has lost connection to the Ringcentral service".She can not make/ receive calls. Please let us know how can we t.shoot this. Thanks in advance!

Support Request regarding Tasks in Glip - It's nice that you can create tasks, but the conversation system is NOT useful when it comes to messaging other team members about a task. There really needs to be a way to REPLY to a task and have a specific comment or text thread that corresponds with TASKS not just conversations.

I have the MVP license. I am unable to locate voicemail transcription (and I've followed the online instructions). I'd like to get a transcription emailed to me when a voicemail is left.

I have a call queue with dedicated members. When Those members do not answer dedicated calls I want the call to ring to a ring group before going to voicemail but am receiving an error that only 2 simultaneous phones can be added

Texts are failing about 90% of the time. This is on iphone app and desktop app. With wifi and without (cellular). I've uninstalled, reinstalled, rebooted. Called customer service and spent an hour 2x. No resolution. Any ideas on how to resolve? The problems happen with both new numbers and numbers my business has texted successfully previously. I've run out of variables to isolate.

We currently have a Bogen UTI312 connected to a SPA800 through our current carrier. We are in the process of migrating to RingCentral but RC support says they do not support SPA8000. Will SPA122 work in this instance? We only have 1 zone (entire building).

I phoned a number with a South Dakota area code. On my personal phone, it's no problem. Using RingCentral, the number is blocked and needs to be enabled by an administrator (i.e., me). Since I can block only incoming calls, this made no sense. RingCentral support told me that North and South Dakota calls are blacklisted by default, and I'd need to fill in a whitelist request. It does not seem possible that RingCentral has blacklisted domestic area codes. Has anybody else experienced this? And is there a sensible explanation?

I was wondering if we could configure the RC desk phone to ring before the desktop and mobile apps? It would also be nice to separate the desktop and mobile apps to configure them on their own as well.

I use the RC mobile app on my Android phone. Sometimes when a person calls, the phone rings. Other times, nothing happens and I just get a voicemail. This has been a problem for me for 2 years now. It hasn't just happened in my current environment, but even when I was using the browser app (instead of the phone app) it would do this. How can I get some form of reliability out of this thing? Whenever I talk to support they just call the number and it's usually a day that it's working so they just shrug me off. I'm not sure what to do.

I need to set up one fax line to have multiple recipients for incoming faxes. It is for one of our sales team and I need three people to receive the incoming faxes from this one fax line. Is it possible?

I just updated to the new version of the RingCentral app and I'm very confused! When I create a new fax, the only information it asks for is the fax number, which cover page, and the note you'd like to add to the cover page. There's no place to add the recipient's info. The cover sheet, no matter which one I choose, ends up only having my company's information filled out. Am I missing something? Where are the recipient fields?

In the desktop "Phone App" (not the RC App) there is a setting to connect to Outlook contacts and it includes all/any Contacts subfolders of Contacts. This setting will enable displaying Contact names instead of phone numbers in the sms messages (instead of their phone number) and also enables us contacting them by name easier within the RC App. Now that we are trying to move fully to only the RC App on mobile and all other devices including Windows desktops, all our Contacts are in a Microsoft account - so we use the Connect to Microsoft setting in the RC app, BUT it is NOT displaying contact names in any of our Microsoft Contacts subfolders - we manage several subfolders of contacts to enable finding/browsing them easier on all our devices (mobile/tablet/computers) and also for sharing only specific contacts with other users. Only the contacts in the root/default Contacts folder is being connected by the RC Contacts Connect function. We have had to reinstall the old RC Phone App

Here is the issue with "ask first" not working all the time:Agent 1 answers call from call queueAgent 1 then searches for Agent 2, clicks on Agent 2 name, then clicks on "ask first" to warm transfer the call that came into the queue.The system then calls Agent 2, Agent 2 picks up the phone but cannot hear Agent 1. In turn Agent 1 doesn't hear Agent 2 and cannot "ask first" to transfer the call. There's just "dead air" on both ends.When "ask first" doesn't work, the greeting and hold music is "cut" when Agent 1 clicks on "ask first" and there is no hold music when calling Agent 2. This is the "tell" to Agent 1 that "ask first" is going to fail.Is this a known issue with "ask first" not working all the time? Recently we changed our Message Retention policy from "Keep all messages" to retain only the last 90 days. The process to purge messages runs nightly according to RC documentation. However, any messages created before the date of the policy change do not get removed. I've opened a ticket with RC and the response is that only messages created AFTER the date of the policy change will be affected. In addition, I've been told by RC that they do not have a way to delete old messages but there "MAY" be a way for a site superadmin to delete messages. I'm interested in removing messages older than 90 days and then let the message retention policy do the work going forward. Does anyone know how to delete old messages?
