RingEX: Phone, SMS, & Fax

When I add a job title for a user through https://service.ringcentral.com/application/users/, that job title is not added or synced up with the title in the RingCentral desktop app.

In RingCentral meetings, when someone calls up on their cell phone, their phone number shows up if they dont punch in the participant code. Does anyone know if theres a feature we can turn on that allows the users CNAM show up if they dont put the participant code in?

Can RingCentral covert existing POTS Fax Lines to be used with RC instead?

I want to be able to gauge how well users are at picking up calls originating from call queues.For instance, let's say John is on the phone 5 out of 8 hours in a day. In those 3 spare hours 20 calls come in that he isn't picking up. Would there be a report or a KPI that would measure this? What I'm trying to find out is which users are being most productive with their time and which ones may be avoiding calls.

There was a post about this from a Canadian customer back in 2018, but I am not sure if it was resolved. We have reached out to support, and went as far a level 2 tech support, albeit I get the feeling the technician could not grasp what my issue is. When we receive a call all we can see is the city of the caller. Once clicking on more information it is we can retrieve the number. This is not acceptable in my books, and after reaching out to support for months with no results I am getting ready to leave this platform. Worst part, the support technician kept using the phrase 'limitations of the CNAM system'. This has nothing to do with CNAM. Has anyone else run into this, and how did you resolve it. The last picture is an illustration of what I am expecting the incoming calls to look like, and the way the show up when I receive a call on my phone.

Cant answer calls with Avaya Soft Phone with headset. I have to answer with PC.

When i listen to a voicemail message, the system states the callback number as something like 555 billion, 123 million 456 thousand 7. I see no setting that would govern this and it just seems weird that this would ever be the behavior of the system. I opened case number 10634456 and it is now on a hold and i'm not expecting it is getting looked at.

We receive a lot of calls where there is silence on the other end. We have simultaneous ringing set up going to two different numbers, but both of us are seeing this problem.

I was working with RingCentral support over the last few days regarding calls dropping when someone transfers a call to them from a queue. After doing some troubleshooting they came back with the following answer:"The most recent platform update has changed this behavior. Users who are in a call queue must have their status set to "accept calls from queue" in order to take a call that has been transferred to them".So now when one of our users gets a call from a customer in a queue and they want to transfer it to a sales rep who happens to be in the same queue, that person needs to set their status to be able to take the transferred call. So effectively no one can ever set their status to being logged out of a queue ever again or they will be missing calls constantly.What is the logic behind this change?What if the person who is being transferred to logs in at the same time another call gets routed

I would love to add 3rd party software update support for RingCentral to my SCCM configuration. This would allow updates to the application to be delivered right alongside Windows Updates in my environment. I'm not sure if RingCentral supports this setup or not. To configuration SCCM to provide these updates, I would need the custom catalog download URL for the RingCentral Phone application.

Is there a way to avoid having so many telephone numbers auto fill the Outlook calendar invite when using the RingCentral Outlook plugin? it enters 5 different phone numbers that users can use to call in, and is cluttered and confusing. I don't need options for US East, US West, US Central, US North, and US South. I need one call in number and one access code.

We have been having a problem the last few weeks. The phone rings. You can see who the caller is but when you answer the call it's dead air. The call is logged. What could be causing this?

Failed Faxes Disappear from my app and I can't resend myself. I must creat fax again.I use to be able to resend a fax when it failed. Now, it disappears from my app and I must create it again and reattached all files. I can't find any setting to change to make it stay in my app until I see it and resend it.

When I try to type a text message in Glip (web browser version), somehow it is not recognizing all of my keystrokes. As a result, I am having to type the text in the browser's search bar and then copy and paste into the Glip text message. I believe that it is doing this on various devices, and it is not a problem when typing elsewhere in the browser, so it has to be something with Glip.It does not seem to be a problem when I am using Glip for inter-office messaging.How can I fix this problem?

Is there a way for administrators of our RingCentral application to retrieve glip chat history for a particular user? We need access to this information for employee relation concerns.

Has this feature been taken down? I used to be able to send group messages out to people not in my directory as separate text threads, now they are all grouped together. This is for gathering information for potential applicants and I don't want to be sharing peoples' phone numbers with others. As recent as a week ago it gave me a "warning" that it would be sent out as separate messages-which is the whole point for me anyway-then yesterday it is no longer is doing so.

So I brought up the Ringcentral App (Windows 10) today and got a popup asking if I wanted to try out the beta. I went ahead and clicked OK and got a popup window to sign in. We use Google SSO and was in the process of doing that but got error saying the browser wasn't supported (my guess from 2FA - we use hardware USB keys and usually have to 'Try Another Way' for non Google apps). Anyway - I closed the windows to try again, but cannot find anywhere to access the beta version in any of the menus or screens. Is the popup the only way and if it doesn't work the first time you can't try it?

USA, Desktop - RingCentral Phone, Latest VersionI want to add recipients to a SMS/Text message I plan on sending out to many people. These recipients are not in my address book. Previously, I added recipients individually.I just tried to copy/paste the recipients from a column in my excel, hoping it would individualize each number. It didn't do this. Hi,When trying to transfer calls through to colleagues I can only see that they are available, busy, do not disturb or invisible. It would be really useful for me to be able to see when users are actually on calls as well as busy.For instance if I have an important call that needs taking by a member of the sales team I know that they are on a call rather than just busy.Thanks,Briony

I need help with dialing out with from my voicemail by choosing option 3 while I am in my voicemail. I am not using a ringcentral phone neither do I have the option to .
