RingEX: Phone, SMS, & Fax

On the Glip app, you can set custom away status messages. Is there any way to delete ones that are no longer in use? or do they stay there forever?

The headset I am using for the softphone app is picking up a ton of background noise and I can't seem to get it resolved. Does anyone have any suggestions for me.

Does GLIP have a self option of reactivating a deactivated user?

I might be missing something but for the life of me, I am unable to call out using the Site Number. I can call out using the full account number but when I have users setup with Multi-Site and want users from site Boise for example to use a Boise assigned site number, and users from Tampa to use a Tampa assigned site number it won't let me. All I see is the general account main number which I do not want to use. Am I crazy or am I missing something?

add fax feature

We are having an issue where someone answers a call - but it shows as missed for the other team members. Any ideas? Perhaps a missed setting?

In call recordings, I noticed that one of my calls stopped recording prematurely. The call lasted over five minutes, but RC only provides a little over 30 seconds of the recording. I have been escalated to Tier 2 by RC and am awaiting a response. Has anyone else had this problem?

Hi,I can't manage to Log In using my App on my phone, to be abble to receive work calls on my phone. I tried logging with the Express way, but when I open the link in the email I receive, it just loads with never bringing me to any website/page. And if I try to connect manually, it says that I have an authentification error.But I am abble to connect on my laptop with Google Chrome. So I know all my info to log in.The Facebook chat didn't want to help me with this one. And I tried to sent a Ticket, but I can't log in on the support website for the same error.I need this for work.Also, it used to work on my previous phone. I've changed of phone and now it doesn't want to work.I have a Samsung Galaxy S9.Thanks.

I am logged into my account online & I can't find text messages anywhere. I have both sent & received text messages via RingCentral. I see the "Messages" area where I can listen to voicemail & view incoming faxes. I cannot find text messages anywhere. I can view them in the app, but not while logged in on the website. HELP! Thanks!

I am trying to update our voicemail greeting and I have uploaded the recording by going to Users--> selecting the extension --> Messages --> Edit voicemail greeting. I have updated all of our extensions but when the number is called it still plays the old greeting.

Hello, I just spoke for about an hour with a Ring central support tech , because I want all my call to be forward to my cell and she tray and was ok now somebody call and when to voice messager what is wrong.

I'm currently experiencing two issues with fax. I've tried to speak to an agent via Live Chat but no real human agent is available after waiting over an hour :(1. My client tried to fax the document to us, he kept getting the 'line is busy' signal. (tried two different days) We have a separate fax number from the phone number and no other fax was received during those times, so not sure how the line could be busy.2. I faxed the PDF file from RC App to a government agency, but the recipient is saying that the received file appears almost whited out and would like me to replace the ink ?! I asked if they are using the traditional fax machine, she said they are also using the electronic fax.Would appreciate any help!

Has anyone noticed with the latest upgrade in Glip that when the presence indicator turns red when you are busy, once you are available, it does not automatically turn back to green to indicate you are free?

In the Polycom user guide for VVX business IP phones, it mentions using a Polycom wifi wireless network adapter to connect to a wireless network. Can any generic USB wifi adapter be used with the VVX 450 office phone, or do I actually need an adapter from Polycom? I currently have a Netgear AC600 Dual Band adapter. If this brand of adapter will work, how do I set it up for use with my phone? In the office phone user guide, it says to insert the wifi adapter (while the phone is on) and select Start. When I insert my Netgear wifi adapter, nothing happens. Does this mean that only the Polycom wifi adapter is compatible with my office phone?Thanks!

VOICEMAIL, ALL CALLS AFTER 12 ARE GOING TO VOICEMAIL AGAIN. I HAVE CHECKED ALL THE OPTIONS. It says we are open 24 hours a day so this should not happen.

I found that after updating the RingCentral Phone softphone app to version 20.1.0.38205, my HUD is empty and I am not able to add my team members back. Anyone else experience this? I'm hoping this is not happening with our ~400 users who are mostly working remotely.

Users upgraded last night to 20.1.0.38205 and now their previous options listed under HUD on the Ring Central Phone desktop app are gone and the Create button is greyed out

Why are the call options grayed out on incoming calls except for Answer and ignore? I can no longer send calls direct to VM.

Can someone tell me if I am missing something. In the new RC app, I cannot find a way to assign a name to a phone number. This seems about as basic as you can get. Am I missing something?

In our case, each line is configured differently, with one line stripped of most calling features. This means that the number that appears in their profile is not the one that should be used in most cases. In the older Desktop app, both phone lines were visible. Is this on a list of future improvements? Thanks.

Rincentral! You guys are great, but we are in huge need of an additional line or 2 for the conference call feature. We need it now more than ever and it's constantly busy and unavailable for our clients to dial into. Please help us in this crazy time in our world!!!

Despite having all capabilities via the RC App on my iPhone X, 13.2, it does not ring when my desktop rings.

I will be working from home sometime soon, but the only Internet connection I have comes from a Verizon Jetpack (wifi hotspot). As long as I purchase a USB-to-wifi adapter, will my Polycom VVX 450 office phone be compatible with this type of Internet connection? How would I go about setting up a connection between the USB adapter and my Jetpack? Also, does my office phone require that I use the same (static) IP address at all times? Thanks!
