RingEX: Phone, SMS, & Fax

There is an option in the RC Phone desktop app, under Settings > Calls called 'Show called site names for incoming calls'.There is nothing in the user guide about this option, and not easily found anything on the community. Can someone explain what this option does please?

I am having problems trying to connect to the Ringcentral App. I am trying to work from home and forward the calls to my cell phone.

I have a Galaxy S8 and under a Verizon plan. I have both the RC Phone and Ring Central app. I am unable to receive inbound calls to my extension on my cell phone. It either does not prompt me, or prompts me for a half of a second and the prompt disappears almost immediately to accept the call. The extension works just fine on the desk phone in my office, but it does not prompt me when I'm at home/out of the office on my cell apps.

My Caller ID comes up as "Scam Likely" on other people's phones. When I look at my settings, it has my compeny name. HELP!

With the new update, my plantronics headset works fine with every other app, other than RingCentral. It acts like it's going to work, and then goes back to speaker or phone and will not accept the bluetooth or headset function now. - HELP

Most of our employees are working from home right now. A few of us still her to answer the phones. If a customer calls our direct line it rings to our to our cell phones but is there anyway to make the main line ring to a cell phone?

I have a US account.As of Thursday the March 12th I stopped being able to receive text messages back. After doing some testing we discovered that we can no longer send text messages to the main number. Apparently I can text to one of the assigned numbers but not the main number.When I text out the main number is number that people are asked to respond with.I do not want people to see my assigned number. Please advise.No updates made on our side just randomly stopped working.

I invited a contact while using Glip. This contact now shows along with my companys three users. I cant find a way to delete this contact. I can close the conversation but not remove the contact.

We have Ring Groups setup for incoming calls to our offices main BTN's. Currently we have several admin who are a part of a Ring Group who are usually in the offices working from home. After installing the RC Phone application on their personal computers and deauthorizing the application on their work computers I expected them to see calls to the main office numbers via the application and to be able to answer the calls, transfer, park,etc as if they were in the office. this doesn't seem to be working. When calling the main number they receive no notification via the application. However if i call there personal DID or Extension the application notifies them of a incoming call. Any ideas what may be happening, while in the office they are notified of calls that are incoming to the main line via the application.

Is there any facility within the RingCentral mobile app do to a impromptu conference call?I.e. when you are on an existing call with somebody, can you then conference a third person into this call?Thanks.

While using the RingCentral Phone and RingCentral Meetings Apps, headphone microphone audio doesn't work.I'm on macOS Catalina 10.15.3RingCentral Phone: Release: 19.4.0.37336 (64-bit)RingCentral Meetings: Version: 19.4.151918.1217I've tried uninstalling/installing the apps and trying different type of headset. I've tried using a cheap set of in-ear headphones with the mic attached to one of the cables and an over-ear set similar to a 'gaming' style head set.

some customers get a continuous busy signal or a simple message that the call cannot be completed at this time.

I have a Polycom VVX410 with 12 presence buttons on the display. I can program 100 prescense buttons in the Web Portal and the first 12 show up on the phone. How do you get to the rest of the ones on the phone that were programmed into the web portal? Kinda seems worthless to put more into the web portal?

can I use obi 2 port with ring central? can I keep my landline phone number (which is used by comcast on their voip) can I keep my business number (magic jack but I think I own it)

We are looking to mount a physical wallboard (smart TV) and wanted to know what that would look like - is it literally needing another ID that logs in to display that data daily - or does RC allow for an external link for a dashboard so it can be see/shared/accessed on a smart TV?Also any tips on resolution/best practices?

Our team is concerned that not every fax is being completely sent as a result of two medical providers calling to inform us that some faxes we've sent are missing pages (e.g. a 5 page sent fax is only sending 4 pages).With our previous fax service, we had a common issue where certain images, or files with certain contrast and page coverage, would cause the fax to fail completely. It seems like those same files, when sent through RingCentral, send and produce a confirmation but not all pages are being received. Most of the time, it's a photo of a legal document with poor lighting that causes these issues. Customers receive an error when calling our business. I have had multiple customers that have reported that they tried to call but the call would not go through and they received an error message. We have no idea how many calls we have missed from customers that have moved on.

This is for US account. I'm using the desktop app.I'm trying to use Ringout to call another user - I used his direct line. I got the call, pressed 1, then the call drops. When I dial a number I get a window with 3 fields. Phone number I'm calling. My location which says custom number as the only option and then Custom number where my number is placed. Then I hit the call button and I get a status window with the following... Call status: cannot reach. Caller Status: Generic Error. Callee Status: Generic Error. Nothing happens and the window shifts back to the dial buttons.
