Poor support coordination between Ringcentral and inContact

CASE # 09593888Is anybody getting the run around with support between Ringcentral and their Call Center provider inContact (AKA CxOne, AKA Nice, AKA What's next)? I have been having issues with their reporting platform pulling incorrect records. Individual calls are merged together and reported as a single call :[]. Messing up our records for audits.When you try to contact inContact they tell you to go through ringcentral. When you call ringcentral they are not familiar with inContact so they generate an incident and then send you to inContact. The latter then says you need to contact Ringcentral because they are not forwarding the calls to us correctly. Converting from free Glip to a RingCentral plan

Has anybody out there had experience with converting from a free Glip instance to a full, paid, RingCentral implementation? I'm curious as to whether they were able to transfer your users/conversations/teams intact or whether you needed to start over from scratch.Thanks,Keith

Accessibility for Users with Disabilities

I work for Disability:IN and one of our Inclusion Works companies uses RingCentral and asked me to check out the accessibility of the tool.  This client is trying to comply with the Disability Equality Index which specifically asks is their telephony system accessible for users with disabilities - all types of disabilities, including deaf and low vision or blind users.   I am hopeful to find a RingCentral expert in accessibility to provide me with some testing details, similar to a VPAT for Section 508 compliance.

Ring Central App (Glip) is not syncing contact list with personal contacts.

US Account, Currently using the Glip RingCentral app, the contacts are not syncing with the online contacts. The contacts sync with the other Ring Central app, but I have been unable to sync the contacts with the Glip app.

3 legged Auth-Code flow for desktop application

Hello,I want to use RingCentral for sending messages. For I will have various accounts, I chose public application Auth-code flow. I am using the functionality for desktop application, I have researched the way to get auth-code is through browser on which I will login with my ringcentral account then will allow access permissions and then it will return the auth-code in the callback url response that I have passed while making request for it.It is inappropriate for my desktop application to open up browser and making all my accounts user to follow the steps to allow access. Is there anyway through code that this process runs in background and user will automatically get the auth-code once I access the api for it.I am stuck. Please help!Regards.

Losing connection with RingCentral on login

When logging in to the desktop application after booting up RingCentral pops up a window and tells me that it's lost connection and I have to re-log in again. We have a few other users in our office also experiencing the same issue.We are able to log in on the second try so it isn't an emergency, but I'm curious to as why this would happen

Mac OS app version

Hi, I'm using a Mac with Catalina 10.15 I've download the Mac desktop app v19.10.2 but I get an error message saying "RingCentral cant be opened because Apple cannot check it for malicious software. This software needs to be updated. Contact the dev...."Is there a new version in the pipeline or am I missing something?

Incoming faxes going straight to voicemail

When a client tries to fax us, it goes to voicemail. Is there some setting they should change on their fax machine so it wont go through as a phone call? Faxes from other machines go through ok

Bose Headset Microphone not realized in RC App (Capital R App Logo on Desktop) Settings

I have a Bose headset and it's connected to my PC and it's recognized in the RC SaaS app, but microphone setting is spinning with the "Loading" statement. The speaker and ringer setting are default stating the Bose headset?

Answering incoming calls from another handset/extension (Polycom VVX 300/310)

Our company has recently installed Polycom VVX 300/310 phones throughout our organization. I believe there is a way for someone sitting at a desk to remotely answer a call ringing to another extension. (Example: an incoming or transferred call is ringing at extension 105. The person that sits at 105 is not at their desk, but their co-worker at extension 106 is available. How can the person at 106 answer the call at 105 without walking over to that handset? Is there a code that can be input at 106 that allows them to retrieve the ringing call at 105?) Also, if I'm correct in my assumption that this is a standard feature, does anything need to be configured on the handsets to make this functionality work?

I have call groups set up to receive call simultaneously. The problem i have is even if someone answers the call the other members ring app continues to ring.

Using web interface, how do I enter company details into the fax cover page?

I don't use the desktop app or mobile app, only the RC web interface. My company details apparently aren't displaying on the fax cover page. (See screenshot.) I have looked through all the questions but they seem to be when using the desktop app. Is there a way to put my company information on the fax cover sheet?

Getting charged to transfer callers to another company

On our last billing statement I noticed we are now getting charged $54.99 to have user's that are 3rd party companies with their own numbers. We also have users set up with our service at phonewagon that just sends texts with specific information.For example, if a customer calls in on IVR and opts for a service we do not provide that person can opt to press a key that goes to another company off our network with a user account we created. If a customer calls in an opts for an automatic text enabling them to submit a certain form that caller gets redirected to an extension on Phone Wagon that automatically texts that caller.Last billing cycle our bill doubled from around $650 close to $1300. This will potentially lead to a problem as for the past 10 years we were not charged the $54.99 per user.Im looking for some sort of an option here that would work better with our company or we may have to find an alternative phone system that is more cost efficient.

Ringcentral App Boot Loop

Anyone else experiencing the issue with Ringcentral looping when launched? Meaning when opening the application, it would load then shutdown and restart continuously by itself in Windows 10? If so, what is the solution to resolve this issue?

ringcentral with plantronics savi 7xx headset

i use a plantronics savi 7xx headset with my ringcentral account. this headset allows me to simultaneously connect both my desk phone and the softphone on my computer. i can pickup and initiate calls on either the desk phone or the softphone, routing audio through the headset. but there is a problem that i cannot figure out. outgoing calls initiated on the softphone makes me sound robotic. incoming calls sound fine, according to the person on the other end of the line. it's only when i make an outgoing call with the softphone that i sound robotic to the other person. does anyone have the same experience? and if yes, have you figured out a solution?thanks.

Desktop App: not refreshing

The desk top application previously used to refresh so that you could see your messages. With the current update you have to do that manually. Not a very good customer experience.

USYour service/route providers are connecting calls to an incorrect destination for DID 949-529-1401 all other providers sprint/att/verizon/pbx connect accurately per tests.Please review and advise, this is negatively impacting ALL RingCentral customers who are trying to call the number.

Group Texting Problem

All of our users are able to participate in group messages with both RC and non-RC numbers except for 1. She has trouble receiving messages and is unable to send messages in a group. When she tries to sent a text in the group, the text is immediately highlighted in red and an error message pops up saying "Message is not sent. Recipient extension is not found." We recently moved to RC from another phone company mostly for its ability to host group texts. It is crucial to our communication with all of our clients and partners that this issue is solved quickly.

Forwarding Phone Numbers

Hi, our agency has multiple agents. I work from home and would like calls to be forwarded to my cell number. I have a number that rings into our main agency. Is it possible to do that? Desktop App Phone answering box disappearing

When using the Ring Central Desktop Application, when the phone rings the answering box disappears quickly, even if the phone is still ringing. How do i fix this?
