RingEX: Phone, SMS, & Fax

List of Enabled international sites does not match the list for a meeting. Specifically the option to Invite by Phone which is really Call Out. RingCentral does not offer incoming local numbers and those countries do not have access to the internet. They have no way of joining a meeting. This was not clear when RingCentral advertised international support. We verified the countries of most importance were on the list so it was misleading. There are additional conversations, many several years old, requesting various countries be added for local numbers or enabled for call out. To date very few have been added although requested. What is the long term plan to meet the needs of those customers requiring international access?

I tried several times sending faxes via RingCentral to a fax machine which is attached toATA Router and configured in RingCentral but never successfully transmitting a single fax over. Receiving error report "Fax Message Transmission Result to +65 xxxx xxxx - FAILED" but was not getting any details of the failure.However I get an error popped-up on the RingCentral screen after login. "E995 Service may be limited or unavailable. Your specific location may not be automatically communicated to the dispatcher".Could this error is related to the fax transmission failure?How can I solve the fax problem?

I noticed that the issue with multitasking while listing to a recorded call has been corrected. I can now listen to a recording without having to be on that page however when calls come in or if we have pending calls, the log appears to be on a 15 second to 30 second delay. Is this known to you guys and is this issue being addressed? I noticed this over a month ago but over the past 2 days it seems to be delaying worse.

Hi. This is in regards to my external conference line. Usually, I press the star key before and after my host code, however every time I try this, it kicks my call to my cell phone. Help!

Is anyone else experiencing the following issue since updating to softphone version 11.0.1.35084?I just noticed this and it may be a result of today's softphone update, but whenever our users have active calls on their softphone, but "Record" button is activated automatically (with no announcement that the call is being recorded) and when you click to Stop Recording a message is received that states "Recording cannot be stopped". HOWEVER, we are not automatically recording all calls, and there are no recordings found in the RC portal. This is an urgent issue as we cannot record calls at the moment because of this bug, and our users think they are recording calls when they are not. Hello. I operate a small inbound call center where we take live transfer calls from marketing agencies. I'm just wondering if there is a way to disable the V/M function on the call queues?The reason I need to do this is that I need a round-robin style or rotating style call routing to my phone sales reps however if they miss the call or are not at their desk I cant have the call go to voicemail.I have spoken with RingCentral Tech support multiple times and the only get around to this seems to be to create extensions the incoming number is assigned to. That way I can turn off the v/m function. That works... However using the extensions it only allows me to route the calls via Simultaneously or Sequentially... No Rotating or Round-Robin function. This seems too difficult for such a simple function that a lot of call centers are using.Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you

My company currently uses RingCentral at all levels of the organization - from a robust Inside Sales team to technical support. We've leveraged all of the functionality of RingCentral and have found it to be a good solution for us.One thing that I (a system administrator within the company) have found to be a slight hitch is that when you use RingCentral for Google and have it hand off calls to RingCentral for Desktop/RingCentral Phone - it opens a new tab (which I understand is part of the handoff process). Is there any way that tab can close automatically after a few seconds, or once the handoff is complete?The solution presented to me by technical support was to handle calls in the browser - but we've found that we are more likely to have call quality issues handling calls in that manner.For the majority of our company - this isn't an issue. Could someone walk me through the inner details of Shared Lines?We have a 3 phone system (paying for 3 lines). We want to use these in a Shared Line setup (i.e. keep each line open on all phones as calls come in).My question - if more than 3 people call in, what happens? Busy signal? Voicemail?

I don't know how to get to the block icon depicted in the article.

ability to have users/extensions to select language for the outgoing announcement that the call is being recorded. as of right now, announcement is only in english for all extensions. no option for selecting a different language if the user is in a different country and is not using english as their primary language; therefore, caller has no idea that the call is being recorded, or doesn't have an option to opt out because the announcement is in english.

According to this screenshot, this call was MISSED, but has a length of 4 minutes and 28 seconds. Am I reading this correctly? What does that mean?

I'm not receiving calls from our Belgium team whereas two other colleagues do, we both have the same setup, when I ring the Belgium number from my mobile the other two colleagues phones ring but not mines, any reasons why this happens?

Using the softphone (RingCentral Phone 10.3.5.34099), when I park a call to a park group and then pick up the call, I can't park it again to the same or another park group.I don't experience this problem when parking to a public park -- I can park the call, pick it up, and park it again as many times as I want.Is this a known limitation, or do I have something configured incorrectly?

They are the same pharmacies. I am able to receive faxes from them but they cannot receive mine. This has been going on for two years now. Some faxes (especially toll-free numbers) may have restrictions with receiving a fax only from certain area codes which makes me wonder whether my faxes are not being rerouted through a different area code. A few of my users are having some troubles receiving faxes from certain parties.Some users can not receive a Fax from a party, but will have that Party send a Fax to another user and it will come through.I have tested this users account using all different types of Fax Protocols, and they all seem to work, but for some reason, this user can not receive faxes from these certain Parties.Does anyone have any insight as to why this is happening? Can a caller transfer out of my voice mail by dialing a co-worker's extension?Here's the scenario: I will be on vacation for a week. I want to set a Custom Answering Rule (Users > Call Handling & Forwarding > Advanced) that says for the week of X, send all calls to my VM. I get how to do this using the Date and/or Time rule to set a date range, etc.In my VM greeting I want to give callers the option to leave me a VM or to transfer out of my VM and reach a co-worker if they need help sooner than my return date. I want to say in my greeting, "I will be out of the office until X date and will return calls on that date. If you need immediate assistance, dial extension 1234 to reach the desk of [co-worker's name]."Our old Toshiba phone system did this without fail. We are a coffee shop and would like to verify an Apple ID account for our business iPads running POS. We enter our business phone number, have disabled auto attendance, and ring directly to a cell phone, but the verification call from Apple, does not ever ring thru, show in the call log, etc. Any ideas?
