I would like to provide better visual signals for our different helplines so they can see which queue is ringing. How do I set the profile picture for a queue? I can set the profile picture for a contact but if I upload one for a queue it is only visible to me. I am an admin. We use the Avaya Cloud Phone App.

I ended a call three hours ago and the widget in Salesforce still show it as active and I cannot "hang up" the call even through it is no longer connected.What's the deal there. Can that cause connection issues? All my most recent calls are spotty and I know my wifi is fine.

So in the RC app we are testing the meeting function so we can get rid of our existing software. We created a meeting for the next day, and for some the meeting doesn't create. For some the meeting creates and shows online, but does not show in the RC app (desktop).The meetings are created through the RC desktop app, as that is what the staff is using. Trying to figure out why the meetings are not showing for 'within the next few days' on the schedule. Thoughts? Also when the invitations are created, why is it always UTC for the time? We have set our timezone.

Howdy - I'm using the RingCentral API to automate some customer service functions (so each text is personal, not mass texting).We're fairly confident of our data - the number should be a cell # more than 95% of the time ... but I'd like to fail gracefully if it's not. As a test, I sent a text via iMessage to a landline (my local library), and Verizon sent me a text from a separate number telling me that my text didn't go through because it was a landline. Is there something similar for RingCentral (whether using the API or just a feature that can be turned on)?In short, how does a RingCentral user know if they tried to text a landline? It's not super critical, but is there in fact a way I can detect that kind of failure using the API?Thanks,Patrick

I'm currently consuming the following APIs:- Get Company Call Log Records- Message Store - Get Message List- Get Extension List (also necessary in order to get Message Store data, because that API requires iterating over extensions to get all messages company-wide)- Get Company Directory EntriesI already know that we intend to recycle extension numbers over time as folks come & go from the company. Therefore, I need to account for the fact that for any given extensionId, the extension number could change, thereby affecting my ability to link historical calls to the correct person if I'm not careful. (I'm planning on treating the extensions as a Type 2 slowly-changing dimension table on my end to handle this.)However, what I don't know is the lifecycle of an extension record itself, based on the extensionId. Hi, we don't care about our missed calls and a very annoying message appears on the desk phones when we get a missed call or even intercom. I'd like for that message to not appear on all of our phones. We have yealink t48s phones.

I have to write an app that sets a call forwarding destination for a user. In order to call the API I need an extension ID./restapi/v1.0/account/~/extension/'+extId+'/forwarding-numberHowever, all I have is the users DDI phone number to query with. So it would appear I have to first get a complete list of all phone numbers on the system and this will include their extension IDs./restapi/v1.0/account/~/phone-numberFrom there, I can use this list to lookup the extension ID for a specific phone number. I have over 25K users on the system. This takes time and puts load on the system. Is there no way to query just one phone number and get just it's details?Thanks.

We have an 800 number that is our main number. In the IVR settings I have that number going directly to an extension. The greeting, if not answered, is the extension's voicemail greeting, not the company greeting.When the voicemail greeting starts, it says "We can't take your call right now, but if you know your party's extension please enter it now followed by the pound sign, otherwise, wait for the beep to leave us a message." The reason it goes directly to the extension is because we want the main messages to be left on that extension if the caller doesn't know any other one. The problem is that the caller must enter the alternate extension FAST or it beeps to leave a message, then they can't enter the extension. Should the IVR be set to the company greeting? Otherwise what suggestions might someone have out there?

We hire temporary call center users and every year we need to change all of the passwords for 100+ user accounts. Is there a way to automate the password updates without changing one at a time? Maybe import an Excel file with the username and new password? Seems like this is an important admin feature that is missing in this day and age of SOX requirements.

I'm building a custom answering rule for a call queue used by one of our departments. This is a holiday schedule, actually.Question is about the called number condition. Can I leave that blank, and then all calls hitting the queue will be handled per the rest of the custom rule?

Our company has been working to find if we can connect Ring Central with Microsoft Exchange, we have been advised this cannot be done. It would make our work flow much smoother for meetings/phone calls.
