I just set up my voicemail boxes with several "message only extension" group mailboxes with custom greetings which are accessible from the main company greeting (which is also a custom greeting--caller presses "1", "2", or "3", etc.). There is a long delay between the caller selecting one of the extensions and when that extension's greeting plays. It is almost 10 seconds, which seems unusually long to me.Is there any way to shorten that delay?

I am just beginning my adventure into the Ring Time api. Looks pretty cool.We need to report to our client various breakdowns of average call time, wait time, hold time, the number and distribution of abandoned calls, voicemails and more.I assumed the call log data would include these things, showing the steps and stages in the life cycle of each call. But it doesn't.What is the best practice around this? Understand we need to report in the aggregate across months of calling data. In fact, we would like to download this data for the past several months to provide a baseline.It seems the Notification API would allow us to receive a torrent of call events moment by moment, which we could filter to assemble our stats, This would work, but is not optimal. (I'd like to go to the deli and simply order 50 finished sandwiches, rather than have the deli owner fling lettuce, tomato and ham slices at my head for four hours, trusting I'll bring a certain DIY spirit to the endeavor.)I

Folks,At this URL it says there's a way to get a connection string to connect to (apparently) a RingCentral Redshift database with our call data. This is thrilling!But how do I get this connection string?(Bonus question: And how come when I search this forum for the word "redshift" there are zero hits? I can't imagine I am the first person in RingCentral history to have any interest in Redshift.)Thanks!

How to get recording from telephonySessionId as while ring out only telephonySessionId and status received

We have created Webhook Subscription for getting missed calls.We are using "/restapi/v1.0/account/~/telephony/sessions?direction=Inbound&missedCall=true" to get all missed calls/voice calls.Webhook works good as we get all call information but somehow for some number we get only extention value(101) instead of phone number i.e [to] => Array ( [phoneNumber] => 101 [name] => Sneha Rao [extensionId] => 712273005                                 ).is there any way to get actual phone number instead of extention number?

Come March 17th is this true-You can only send 25 SMS per day and anything after that you will be charged $.0085 per SMS?

We have 2 businesses in one system and we want certain extensions to have 1 caller ID and another extension have another caller ID. There is an alternate caller ID tab but you can only chose between the main number and the extension phone numbers. We have another incoming line that is routed to certain extensions and set up as another site, but does not populate in the alternate Caller ID Options. How do I get these extensions to have an alternate Caller ID ?

Hi all. Newbie to RC here, so perhaps I am doing something wrong. But...In a browser (Firefox) using javascript and the RC js SDK, I am trying to implement the OAuth2 3 legged flow using PKCE and "top frame setup" (see Top frame setup on the JS SDK page). FYI I have successfully implemented the "Popup setup" described on the same page.In the Top frame setup, when my redirectUri landing page calls rcsdk.login(loginOptions) the SDK throws an error with message "code_verifier required". It looks to me like the SDK is not sending the code_verifier when making the authorization_code request to the RC Auth server and so the RC Auth servers response is a 400 bad request.I am not sure how the SDK would know the value of the code_verifier as I believe it was generated on the main page when the loginUrl was created and I don't see how in this scenario the landing page SDK is going to have that info. So, perhaps PKCE is not possible using the top frame setup

Hello. When I try to place a call, it takes 15-20 seconds for anything to happen. It's like it doesn't register any clicks. It doesn't matter if I try to place the call from call history or manually typing the number (typing is fine) and clicking the call button. When an inbound call comes, I click the icon to answer the call and it takes 15-20 seconds to register. The call almost always goes to voicemail because it takes so long.I've tried uninstalling and re-installing the app several times and nothing seems to help. This is my first time using RingCentral. Not fun so far, please help :(

How do I turn off SMS messaging. I do not want to receive SMS nor do I ever send SMS. I need to opt out of this as it serves me no useful featureThank you

I integrate RingCentral into my CRM (Hubspot). When I make a call from my PC, Ring Central records my call and inputs the call into my CRM so other can hear it later. When I call from my phone using the Ring Central app, the call is not recorded. Is it possible to have calls made from the app on my phone recorded into my CRM?

I have two numbers associated with my account. Both numbers get directed to the same voicemail. Can I set it up so that they go to separate voicemail boxes ?

Team, customer has asked about the ability to view deleted faxes in the new app. They were informed that when a notification is received for a fax, and they delete the email notification it actually deletes the fax itself. They used to be able to view the deleted in the old RC phone app. Now they have switched to RC App, to view deletes, they are required to login to the customer portal online. ASK: is there an update to show all current and deleted faxes in the unified app?

There HAS to be an easy answer to this...I'm looking for a trash can icon or trash section -- need to find deleted faxes. I've looked all over both the Windows 10 Ring Central App (told no trash can there anymore) and the Web Browser-based customer portal online and admin portal (told it IS in customer portal online).*WHERE* is it??Thanks,Michael

I have a user that sometimes use call forwarding to her mobile. She has asked if it is possible to remove the prompt when answering her mobile, she needs to press i think 1# to answer the call on her mobile. Can this be removed so when she answers her mobile it goes straight to the forwarded call?

I have a receptionist who would take the calls forwarded to her mobile. If the receptionist does not pick up the call it would go to the voice mail box. If she answers then I have few questions highlighted in red in the the picture. Can you confirm this is possible to achieve?

I wrote an application that subscribes to /restapi/v1.0/glip/posts. My webhook is invoked when new chat messages, tasks, and events are posted to a Team, but not when a file is added. Is there something else I should subscribe to for files?Update: If I attach a file to an Event, I am not notified of the new Event. Remove the file from the Event and I receive the notification.

Every time I end a call the phone does not actually hangup and I have to close out of the phone app.

We have texting disabled for all users currently (we have some Hipaa stuff to get through), there does not seem to be a message sent to someone who tries to text one of our users (phone numbers) that says the RingCentral number does not receive text messages at this time.Is the feature available, am I missing something? a sender does not know if the text ever completed or did not complete.........

Help me with contacts? Who is a guest? Who is a team member? What is a personal contact? Who is in the company? We are using this as a community connector so almost anyone could be in the "company"? But maybe that's not how to think about it. There are only two of us on staff with the company? is it possible to change folks from one "type" guest to "company" member?

We have disabled voicemail from the Admin Portal but we still see 'To voicemail' when there's an incoming call. When I click 'To voicemail', it plays an announcement and disconnects, but we just want the button to say 'Decline/Reject' instead. MicrosoftTeams-image (2).png
