I just updated to the new version of the RingCentral app and I'm very confused! When I create a new fax, the only information it asks for is the fax number, which cover page, and the note you'd like to add to the cover page. There's no place to add the recipient's info. The cover sheet, no matter which one I choose, ends up only having my company's information filled out. Am I missing something? Where are the recipient fields?

In the desktop "Phone App" (not the RC App) there is a setting to connect to Outlook contacts and it includes all/any Contacts subfolders of Contacts. This setting will enable displaying Contact names instead of phone numbers in the sms messages (instead of their phone number) and also enables us contacting them by name easier within the RC App. Now that we are trying to move fully to only the RC App on mobile and all other devices including Windows desktops, all our Contacts are in a Microsoft account - so we use the Connect to Microsoft setting in the RC app, BUT it is NOT displaying contact names in any of our Microsoft Contacts subfolders - we manage several subfolders of contacts to enable finding/browsing them easier on all our devices (mobile/tablet/computers) and also for sharing only specific contacts with other users. Only the contacts in the root/default Contacts folder is being connected by the RC Contacts Connect function. We have had to reinstall the old RC Phone App

Is there better way to run/save a call log report? csv files, screenshots, etc. are not the most suitable reports when needed for legal reasons (submissions to the courts) is there a 3rd party software that would create a PDF file, with the RingCentral Logo? maybe even our company logo?

Just to preface, I have a user I'm trying to edit since they have 2 lines and phones attached to them. I need to remove one, though I'm not getting the option to do so. Is there anything that can be done to remove a phone from the user? Or will this be a situation where the user has to be removed and a few things moved around to get everything to work how I need it to? Edit: Follow up question, would moving the line to a new user being created be feasible or would that just cause the same issue I'm running into currently?

Is there any way to delete a selected call log by callRecordId? Ref API : https://developers.ringcentral.com/api-reference/Call-Log/deleteUserCallLog Getting detail has a way to ask for a specific log by callRecordId but delete does not have that parameter.

When trying to add an admin to my account the add button is greyed out. i can only select cancel. just setup ringcentral for faxing with this plan. RingCentral Fax1500 I can add guests by invite but not an admin

New to Ring Central. We get a lot of calls that when we answer no one is on the other end. Is it possible that spam caller computers don't work well with VOIP and disconnect before annoying us or are we missing legitimate calls??

We have an automation for our IT tickets, when an agent hangs up with a caller it creates a ticket and then links to RingCentral's call recording for the call to listen to later. What we would like to do is dump the recording as an attachment to that ticket/email, this would allow us to keep recordings longer. How am I able to do that? We looked through "Get Call Recordings Data" (https://developers.ringcentral.com/api-reference/Call-Recordings/listCallRecordingData) but are not sure how to take that data in Python and save it as a MP3/WAV file. We have tried taking r.text() and exporting the bytes to a WAV file, but then it returns that r.text() is does not contain only byes(which it doesn't). We have tried loading r.text() into pydub as well, but it does not read it either. Is this not possible with Python?

Is there a way to have a call ring the receptionist and then be sent to an IVR menu if no-one answers?

So all of our inbound, unanswered phone calls go to our emails. However, all of the transcriptions come, but without the audio recording. As nice as the feature is, it doesn't always provide the most accurate version of what people say. I am curious to know if there is something wrong with our set up. All admin have permissions and receive the emails, they just do NOT include the audio player with them. Is there any way to fix this?

We have a need to disable auto-update of the RingCentral App (newest version). It appears to auto-update and our desire would be to push those updates out intentionally and in a controlled way for multiple reasons. This would be for the Windows desktop version.I can't find any articles related to this latest version. Hoping someone has tackled this.

Can you tell me how I can remove my extension from receiving "all" incoming calls and only receiving calls "directly" to my extension? I work in an office with 20 others and somehow my extensions receives all incoming calls. Thanks.

Hi!I use telephony session events to collecting data about calls.I noticed that there are two different ways as going call transfer from RingCentral App and Deskphone (Polycom VVX 350 for example).In next two cases I calling from customer's phone number to Main phone number and enter extension number, then I accept this call o and transfer it to another extension.First case:When I call to Extension and pick up call from App, then transfer it to another extension, in telephony session notifications I see that new call started from caller to second extension, then 1st call is over. When 2nd call is over I see notification that inbound call from customer's number to 2nd extension is over.Second case:When I call to Extension and pickup Call from Deskphone and then transfer it to another extension, in telephony session notifications I see that 1st call on hold, then 1st extension is calling to 2nd extension and creating ext-to-ext call. We have an organization with two separate entities on location. The secondary entity has a direct line and is forwarded to it's director. But the director also fields calls for the primary entity and needs a way to differentiate the incoming calls. Any ideas?

Hi! I have a user's missed calls section set to go to an IVR menu where a caller can subsequently choose if they'd like to hold, be transferred to a different user, or be transferred to that user's voicemail. I'm testing and I've chosen the voicemail option. The voicemail message plays, but I cannot leave a voicemail. Any way to fix this?

I am getting unexpected subscriptions created daily at 3AM (probably the result of a cron job) from an unknown source (but probably a previous developer). So I want to reset the client secret, without disruption the production app. How can I do this? Alternatively, is it possible to identify the origin of where the subscriptions are being created?

Within the RingCentral University "Admin (MVP Advanced)" training course, there are two videos titled "Dedicated Call Parking" and "Setting Up Park Location Groups" respectively. As near as I can figure, these videos cover the same information. Is this intentional? If not, would you consider removing one of them?(It's also possible that I'm missing an important distinction between the videos.)

Hi, I tried to understand how can I remove continue as button, I don't want to get user the option to login with the same user after logout.Is there any reference where the whole list of ui_options (one of Form Data Parameters inGET /restapi/oauth/authorize) is listed with descriptions? What ui_option I can use for these needs?Also, one more question about ui_options:I found the option hide_concent which remove last page in logging pop up about confirm auth content.but is there an option to show it first time user login and not show on next logins?

I uploaded a company greeting we recorded; however, we realized there was a slight change needed. When I try to upload the new greeting there is no option available for me to do it. PLEASE HELP!!
