Hello - I currently have an Algo 8301 and an Algo 8180.  I have both configured and talking with RingCentral as Paging devices, but can’t seem to get them setup in RingCentral to page when I call and extension.My goal is to have user call an extension, and it to both ring on an extension, and page the warehouse “Supervisors, your have an incoming call”.The Algo is configured to play the file I uploaded to it, but just need help getting RingCentral configured to do what I need it to do.

How do you adjust incoming call volume in the RingCentral app?  In & outgoing are fine from both the desk phone & Teams but can’t hear incoming calls from the desktop app.

Hi,I am trying to setup an IVR Menu for the virtual receptionist.  The caller gets greeted and then they can have the option to get routed to the directory, the directions menu, dial the extension, or dial 0 for operator.  I am having issues trying to setup the directions menu.  There are 3 options the caller can choose from, If they are coming from the Madison area, press 1, if they are coming from the Chicago area, press 2, and if they are coming from the Green Bay area, press 3.  Then when they choose a location, they have the option between picking from 2 different warehouses. If going to 2880 N 112th St Location, Press 1.  If going to the 1300 or 1290 Glenview Place Location, press 2.  Then once they choose a warehouse, the next prompt will give them the directions.  Can anyone give me a step by step instruction on how to set this up?  I tried and it gets stuck on 2 and will only give me directions from the Chicago area, then it will only give me the 1300 or 1290 Glenvie

Hello, When using the URI to open the RingCentral app and make a call (rcapp://r/call?number={phoneNumber}), is there a parameter to specify the number that I am calling from? We have separate numbers that we dial out on, depending on the department. Thanks

I have a question around the call status of an inbound call. We are testing routing calls from Twilio to RingCentral. In Twilio we have a list of direct RingCentral numbers, we would like to dial them sequentially. The issue is, RingCentral immediately answers the call and then internally rings the agent. In Twilio, that call was “answered“ even though no agent actually accepted the call, so it never moves on to dial the next number.We have tested this with standard phone numbers and the logic works fine, it is only calls to RingCentral numbers that have this issue. Is there a way to have RingCentral not accept the call until an agent actually answers?Just to reiterate, the call is marked as “In-progress” within RingCentral if the agent never answered, but it is technically answered from a call perspective as soon as the call hits RC. We would like RC to not answer the call until an agent actually answers/accepts.

This has been asked about in a few questions, but no useful answer has been posted.When connected to my car via Bluetooth, my phone automatically answers calls. How do I stop this happening?The one instance of this being asked blamed the phone/headset, but as it is happening on various phones and Bluetooth devices it would seem to be a feature of the app.

Is seems in the last month or so. The caller ID information for incoming and outgoing calls is using old information. From what we can tell, is its about 10 year old information. Almost like the database that RingCentral stores caller id names in reverted to 10 years ago.anyone else seeing this?

Is there a way to add additional names, nicknames to a user for to be used for the dial by name directory? For example the name Joseph or Joe has different first three letters but very common for people to call someone by both names. The issue is for name directory you can only find someone under one name not by both.

Hi everyone,Our company has several RingCentral accounts used by different staff members. Right now, all of our text messages go to one main account.To read or reply to messages, we have to log out of our current account, switch to the main one, handle the texts, and then switch back — which is really inconvenient.Is there a way to let all users view and respond to texts from the main account without having to constantly switch accounts?Thanks in advance for any help or suggestions!

This was a post 2 years ago. I followed advise to block the number on the Super Admin extension, but the call keeps coming though to the Message-Only extension. I also tried going to Message-Only extensions and clicking on the msg. 45/45 for the company name but in there, I don't see an options for blocking the number in there. Only the option via 3 dots, to Download or Forward. Anyone able to assist ?

For the past several months, we've had our users adopt the new RC app to replace RC Classic. However, the RC Classic app somehow keeps reinstalling itself within hours or by the next day (after a reboot), and then becomes the default app that opens at startup instead of the new RC app.How can we fully uninstall the RC Classic app from Windows 10 systems? This is taking up way too much of our bandwidth. I have started just leaving RC Classic installed on our systems (been through this loop four times myself), though that is really not the solution we expect.I do have an open case on this, but it's been on PKI Hold since January.

I was on https://support.rincentral.com/download.html site looking for the RingCentral Phone download but am only able to find RingCentral App for End-Users.  Where was the RingCentral Phone download moved to?In our situation the full RingCentral app does not work for our receptionists.

We currently have two RingCentral instances — one in the U.S. and another in India — each with a different unique ID (UID). Is it possible to enable extension-to-extension calling between these two instances?

So I am wanting to create an Alert so that when an agent has been on a call for 10 minutes it will ping them to say they are approaching an extended call and need to start wrapping up or to raise an extended call request.I am unsure on which of the Fields to use under the Agent product to use for the “Alert When”. 

I have sent faxes by opening a PDF, selecting Print and choosing RingCentral from the printers list. After the fax is sent, I click the "eye" icon in RC for Windows to see what the fax looks like, and the image quality is terrible. Is this what my customers are seeing when I send them a fax?

In the last week I had a couple of voicemail messages that did not make sense.  They appeared in some way malicious but I can’t figure out the angle. One sounded completely silent but had a somewhat natural but nonsensical text and another one was completely garbled and incomprehensible to me but again the automated transcription came pretty clear.  It feels like hidden nonsense messages within audio but I can’t figure out what could be the use.  

How can I turn off AI feature for all users?

Hello,We’re using RingCentral entirely on App (computers Mac/Windows and Mobile App iOS/Android), with no physical desk phones.I’d like to allow multiple users to share two outbound phone lines, so we don’t have to pay for a separate direct line for every user.Is there a way to configure this in RingCentral ?Here’s our setup and what we’re trying to achieve: No desk phones, only the RingCentral app; Limit the number of simultaneous outbound calls (e.g. 2 max); Allow all users to share the same main company number for outbound caller ID.  We are a team of 10 people, including two members in customer relations. We are having a couple issues with automatic call recording.When our people call out and they call a number that has a virtual assistant, our call recording message plays over the virtual assistant options. Should this be happening? We have customers that hang up as soon as the call recording message starts playing when we call because they think they are talking to a robot or spam. Has anyone found anything that helps with this? We tried putting our company name in the first part of it so they would know it was us, but that isn’t working as well as we hoped, and now the message is super long.

I wanted to get a Teams notification each time a change occurs on our platform, like a user is updated or deleted - so we could see if people are adding or deleting people without us knowing. The Subscriptions API sounded ideal - and it’s working, to an extent. Each time there’s an update to an extension (user), I get a notification via Webhook to Teams.The problem is, the content of the “event” is… minimal. Is it possible to add a new contact (a name and number for example) via the API so when a customer signs up there info is automatically added to RingCentral so if and when they call we have their name to show on the screen?
