I’m enjoying the new templates for custom rules, which is saving me a lot of time applying 2025 holiday schedules to queues. 😎But a question: In step 2 (see below) when I set up call handling there’s a link to the Greeting & Hold Music. Is this greeting for use only when calls match the rule, or is this the same greeting used all the time?This would be a very awesome feature if it was unique to calls that match the rule………..  

I have been trying desperately to get my SMS working through the TCR Registration.  I have updated multiple times but apparently I am not doing it correctly.  Please someone help me. 

Are calls initiated by the softclient also recorded in the call history of the ip desk phone?

Hi, I have 2 questions:My out-of-office autoreply is set.  My office hours are 8-5:30.  yet when i test it at 5pm, i get autoreply.  What am doing wrong?  yes, the time zone is set correctly in ring central. Is there a way to initiate conversation when User submits form on my website?  Record is written into my database? Facebook user fills out facebook form. Is there a zap that can be used to trigger sms?Thank you

Our business has been receiving a ton of robo calls from dead numbers over 25 in one day. I called customer service and a very nice young man recommended that I block the calls which I spent the better part of the afternoon doing, but I don't think this will help as all of calls are coming in from in invalid numbers. Is anyone else dealing with the same problem?

I’m switching a phone from one location to another. My problem is I can’t seem to change the Assigned type from a limited extension to a User phone. as well as change the name and extension.Has anyone else had this issue or done this same type of thing?

How to I block a customers phone number from being called by a memeber of my staff if the customer asks us to never call them again?   There has to be a way to put a customer on a Do Not Call list where if a memeber of my staff calls that number that it either automatically fails or gives them a message of some sort that it’s a blocked number.

Hello everyone.I work at an Auto Glass shop and my specific department relies HEAVILY on merged calls (3-way, our staff, our customer and an insurance agent). We already have an issue in which we as supervisors are unable to utilize the coaching, barge and whisper features once a call is merged and now the AI assistant seems to fail during a merged call. We are able to utilize during the initial call which is helpful in some ways, but once we conference it doesn’t work. Has anyone experienced this? Also, although some of our agents use the desktop app we do have some that use their desk phone which from what I can tell, the AI assistant is of no use, but does this depend on the way the calls are merged (desktop app vs desk phone?)I hope this makes sense and thank you ahead of time for any replies.

I added a new contact to Outlook, it showed up in RingCentral right away.  I added a FAX number to the Outlook contact, it is not syncing the change.  I hit the sync button several times before and after exiting RingCentral App, but still the fax number does not appear.  I tried to add it to the RingCentral / 365 phone book, but only have the choices as WORK (already used, will allow adding a second WORK number.  Home and Mobile are also options, Fax is not.  Trying to send a fax from the contact icon pulls the main WORK number. 

Hello,I use an oldish but fantastic Plantronics headset C052A connected with a APU-76 USB adapter, on my W11 PC. I also use a Jabra desktop speaker on the same PC, USB connected.Both work 100% perfectly in Teams and Zoom. I can switch between them during a call and they both work reliably, and the headset never skips a beat.In Ringcentral (Desktop: 23.2.21.7380 Windows (x64) 2023-05-18 07:03:19) the Jabra works 100% OK. The Plantronics headset keeps cutting out. This is random and generally lasts for a few seconds, then sound is re-established. In a 5 min call this happens 4 or 5 times. When it cuts out, the headset "clicks" and both incoming and outgoing sound are muted. There isn't a repeatable pattern to this. This also happens when the Jabra is disconnected.I have tried downloading and using the Plantronics hub software (https://www.poly.com/gb/en/support/downloads-a

Why have a “cancel service plan” button if I can’t do it online and have to call anyway?Is there a way to close an account without talking to retention?  The reason I’m leaving is because of poor customer service and forcing customers to talk to retention just makes already frustrated customers more frustrated. In my case I have already ported my numbers away and just want to close the account.  Related to that I have some questions.  If I’m closing the account why can’t representatives give me a final total balance (current and any past due amounts combined) to make the process as smooth as possible?  The rep I talked to said she could only tell me what my past due balance was for one month and not the total due.  Seems odd if I’m closing the account to not be able to generate a final amount due.  Doesn’t the forcing people to c

I have set RingCentral ringtone to “High Gong” but for some reason it is playing “Phone Ring.” I am using the RingCentral App. I tried using the web-version but still have the same issue. I have tried every possible solution I can think of, including:Updated the Application Clear App data as well as Application data from the Storage Logged out of App and logged in only to the browser Browser used Chrome No any rules setup for the ring tone Selected Help and reported the issue to Ring  Central with the details

Hello,We recently deployed the CX digital platform using an email channel.  Shortly after that deployment, our IT department deployed ProofPoint email security and now our inbound emails are being blocked by ProofPoint.  The errors are relay errors coming from O365.  I understand there are numerous factors in play here but hoping someone may have run into the same CX Digital issue with ProofPoint or similar email security platform.  Thanks in advance,-Brian T.

I have a question for any users of RingSense. When you bring up the main screen (Interactions) and have the list of calls, can you click on a call and see the transcript for that call? I know you can search for calls and access the transcripts that way, but I have been getting very mixed messages from RingCentral about the ability to see a transcript for a call without doing a search first.Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks.

We currently have an IVR system in place. During nonwork hours a caller is prompted with the following:Press 1 for English, Press 2 for Spanish. It will then bring them to the next IVR menu. The options for the next menu is the same just in different languages. Press 1 to go to live person, Press 2 to go voicemail. I’ve tested the IVR menu using the extension connected and it works perfectly. However, when implemented during nonwork hours, when the caller presses 2 on the second IVR menu instead of sending the call to a voicemail box, it loops the call back to the beginning menu.  Does anyone else have this issue or a workaround for why when it is implemeneted it does not funciton as it does during testing? 

Hello,All Android 15 users at our company that have installed the Dec ‘24 Pixel security patch are being logged out of the RC app when the app loses focus.For example, so long as the app is on screen, all is fine.  However, if the app is swiped away (closed) or another app is on screen for too long and an RC call comes in or the app is brought back up, the user is sent back to the sign in screen and the call is disconnected.Since I need my cell phone and desktop to ring simultaneously, this kills all calls on both devices.  So, the only workaround I’ve found is to forward all calls to my cell phone, which makes RC mostly useless.Support has been unable to fix or provide a better workaround.Is anyone else experiencing this?Thanks!

Hi,We've had an issue with our call wrap up time for our main call queue for several months now. Callers randomly get "stuck" in the queue for a minute or longer when there's available agents waiting for the call to come through their phones. Our call wrap up time is set to 0 seconds and ring simultaneously which works fine most of the time, but there are several calls throughout the day where some unlucky callers get stuck in the queue for no reason. Is anyone else experiencing this or a similar issue?

It would be fantastic if the new RingCentral App for Desktop would incorporate the same Plantronics/Poly headset integration that exists in the Phone app. Right now, when using a Plantronics headset, the modern Desktop app does not know how to handle button presses on the headset for answering/hanging up or muting/unmuting. All call controls have to be done from the app itself instead of allowing for headset control.

Is it possible to allow a caller to press a number (like you would with msg only extensions) when on hold in a queue and instead of going to a voicemail, it would move their call to another queue or extension? Thank you

I’m trying to use this GET: https://developers.ringcentral.com/api-reference/Phone-Numbers/readAccountPhoneNumber  it says in the response body that it should have country:     however I don’t see it in the Results:   I’m wondering how I can get the country of the phone number as I want to create an automation that tells me how many numbers I have from each country. 

Ring Central keeps asking the winning compmany the same questions over and over and then rejects them. this has gone on for over 2 months. i will contact the BBB and tell everyone what kind of business you have, the winning number has sent me proof of tevtyyhing Ring Central is doing to keep customres, they just want people to keep paying them. i dont have toimeto go through this 3-4 times a week,
