We have a number of teams , Sales, Marketing, Delivery. I want to have the option to dig down into those teams to transfer a call or to see the status. Is there a way to do this?

I’m looking for a solution to the issue described here:When I get a call from a call queue if I click "Ignore Call" on my desktop app the Incoming Call screen goes away and then pops right back up a few seconds later.There must be a way to make this happen, right? My idea is to create fake users to put at the end of my fixed order call queue. That way when my actual users have hit ignore, the fake extensions will “ring” one by one until the maximum wait time is reached (so in my case, 3 rings/15 seconds per fake user, 1 minute timeout, I would have 4 fake users so that I can ensure the call never circles back to my actual users). This obviously isn’t an elegant solution and would consume 4 licenses (not cool), has anyone found a better way of making this happen using Ring Central’s existing features?

We have made some changes to our office layout and have removed four boardrooms that previously had Limited Extensions.How do I remove the four Limited Extensions that are no longer required?

I had RingCentral set up so that when we received a fax it auto printed. I got a new computer with Win 11 Pro, reinstalled RC and now I cannot find an option to auto print. I have consulted with 2 different RC reps, neither of which could figure out what is wrong. One rep I spoke with said on his version RC had that option, so my guess is they took out the auto print feature? I am running 23.3.23.8166 Windows (x64). Any ideas?

How secure is it to send PII across SMS texting?

My desk phone is no longer ending a phone call when I hang the receiver up. The call remains live and I have to manually press the end call button on the phone’s display screen. Has anyone experienced this and how do I fix it? I’ve looked in all of the settings on the phone and in the admin account. Help!

When I tap a call link in Chrome, RingCentral is opening and making the call. I am using the RingCentral app on my cell phone. Prior to a couple of months ago, call links were opening my native phone app. This is my personal cell phone and RingCentral is for work. I do not want RingCentral opening call links. I have Googled this issue and followed so many instructions. Nothing is correcting this issue. In RingCentral, I turned off the open supported links option (now I have an annoying pop up on the app every time it opens). Suggestions?

Just getting started with ringcentral and have not been able to send or receive faxes yet.We have 3 main numbers with 2 set as rollover and the third also set as our fax number as used in the past. thanks for any input. Chuck

Our organization heavily uses Microsoft Teams for calls/meetings. We are in the process of moving to Ringcentral using the Ringcentral App on the same computer as Microsoft Teams. When someone is on a Microsoft Teams call/meeting and receive a Ringcentral call and answers it, the other people on the Teams call/meeting hear the Ringcentral user’s side of the Ringcentral call conversation. It doesn’t put the Microsoft Teams call on hold. How do we get this to not happen?

We have TCR approval and the text messages get sent eventually. In the morning text messages get sent right away. Seems it gets more delayed as day goes on. They go through but 5 or 10 or 30 minutes later. There is no sign in the app that anything is wrong the text show as sent. Works fine next morning.Incoming  text comes through right  away at all times. Any help would be appreciated

Customers are telling us when we call them the Caller ID is showing as possible Spam.  How do we fix this?Update - we had one office that was set to a new company number.  We changed it to the site number to eliminate this issue.  The site number was an existing DID transferred in the conversion.

We’ve got an approved SMS campaign for some emergency alerting going on with the company I support. We’ve got one designated DID that all messages are slated to come from, but a total of 7 employees who will need access to that DID to send messages in the event of an emergency. What’s the best practice or what are folks using out there to provide access to a single DID for multiple parties within the RingCentral tenant?

Everyone in my company is having the same issue.We are receiving SMS messages but cannot send any SMS messages. And we are not receiving an error message saying they can’t be sent. So maybe they are “sending”, but not being received on the other side?Anyone seen this before? 

Hi there,When I try to log into my bank (TD Bank Canada) or use my TD credit card online, I am asked to provide an SMS PIN code, which I have setup to be sent to my Ring Central phone number. I do not receive them.I also have my Ring Central number setup for Amazon, and the same thing happens, when they try to send me a verification code, it does not reach me.I am sending and receiving text from all other numbers both locally and internationally.Is there a reason that certain services cannot send SMS to Ring Central? And is there anything I can do about that?Thanks in advance for any advice you can give.Cheers,Ken

Hello! I’m working through an issue here of provisioning a Mitel 6930 phone onto our RingCentral account. I’m dealing with a phone at a remote location that was previously provisioned and assigned to a user in our RingCentral account. However, today I was made aware that the phone is not working and when I checked the admin portal it does say it’s “Offline”I’ve been troubleshooting the issue remotely since the office is about 2hrs away. It seems like the phone was previously manually configured using the following instructions: 1. Login to the web interface of the desktop IP phone.2. Select "Advanced Settings" > "Configuration Server" menu option.3. Select "HTTPS" in the field "Download Protocol".4. Locate "HTTPS Server" field and enter mtl.ringcentral.com5. Prior to migrating to RingCentral, we had a FreePBX server on prem.One way we found to help stop spam calls was to create a simple IVR for an individual user with a single option “To be connected to John Smith, please press 1.” Can something similar be done with RingCentral? This would force the caller to press 1 before it rings the end user.

If I want a user to have two physical phones in two locations I can make that work by assigning another handset, adding a digital line licence and assigning a DDI to the digital line.I end up with the user having two DDI numbers but either will call both phones and I can ignore/hide one/force called ID of only one number. My user has two handsets working which is great.It would be great to remove the second DDI from the digital line so you don’t see that DDI anywhere but there doesn’t seem to be a way of doing that. Is what I’m doing the best way to do this? Is there a way of having a digital line without the second DDI to keep things cleaner?

Hi folks,  I can’t seem to find a good definition that explains the difference between a Digital Line Unlimited and an Additional Local Number.  On our bill, the cost is very different. So I have to assume they don’t function the same.  So far my understanding is that every new account gets a Digital Line Unlimited, and then they can add additional local numbers to that account. But you can also add another Digital Line Unlimited, it just cost the same as a “new” account.  What is the difference here? When would my second number be another Digital Line Unlimited and not a Additional Local Number? Are there any limitations like not being about to outbound call, etc.?

I am having issues with the sound when using RingCentral. Call dials out but no sound on either end. 

Would love the ability to take Notes without AI, it does not work well with heavy accents, and I really do not need the whole conversation, just certain parts of it. And it would be great if we can search the Notes text to find notes quickly. Also a few lines of the text in the Recordings window would be nice so we can quickly scan notes.  

New User IssueWhen logging into RingCentral via Single Sign-On, the G4S company option is not appearing (see attached image). 

I received this message when attempting to set up the SMS DCA declined sharing request for campaign C3D6YEK. Explanation: CR6002 - Privacy policy does not state that no mobile opt-in data will be shared with third parties or affiliate; Additional Comments: ;PP needs update I looked up error CR6002 and followed the recommendations and added the appropriate statement to the Privacy Policy.Yet, I continue to receive this error message.
